Light Yagami

"'I will rain over the new world' I believe that was something light once said. Light was different from your average high schooler. He was smart, no he was an ingenious and talented human, who came to seek what most would consider an Impossible goal. He believed he could rid the world of all it's corruption and rule it as it's own new God. But that's not how the Death Note works. Kekeke

Everything good must eventually come to an end, 'There is no heaven or hell. No matter what you do while your alive, everyone goes to the same place once they die... Death is equal.' Thats what he believed but the truth of the matter is that the death note has a strange power to corrupt those who use it. Most humans can only use the death note for a few days, a week if lucky. And when they finally die... There is nothing... despite what Light believed there was the separation of good, evil and those in between."

Yamashi looked at ryuk with a face of intrigue, "so Light was different. I see..."

"Very different, in fact, one of a kind. You don't very often meet people who you will remember for the rest of your life. Well, at least not for shinigami who have lived for thousands of years feeding off the life force of those unlucky enough to have their name written down."

"Don't worry Ryuk, I now know what I must do... I will follow in his footsteps and become the next Kira"

'I wonder Light... What could you have become with a little more time?'

With that Yamashi put his head down for a final time before falling into a deep slumber

....

When Yamashi opened his eyes he was surprised to see ryuk floating above him in a distorted position. He wiped his eyes and got up. "yawn~, I slept well but I couldn't stop dreaming about the Death Note last night."

'So he's that eager to use it eh' Ryuk unfolded his body from the distorted shape it was in and hovered over to yamashi.

"Don't follow me, Im going to take a shower."

"It's not like I care anyway" Ryuk replied and began looking around his room.

'Wonder what he's looking for. Oh well, I'll ask him after I take a shower.' With this yamashi closed the door to his room and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

....

*Creek* the sound of the door opening to his room could be heard from where yamashi was so he quickly wrapped a towel around his waist and rushed to his room remembering that he had left the Death Note on his desk the night before.

When he opened the door got to the open door of his room he noticed a girl with blonde hair at his desk.

"Ah, Amane, what are you doing here?"

"It's Friday silly, don't you remember that you were put on the student committee."

"still how do you even know where I live?"

Yamashi was already bored of her and therefore talked in a very monotone way. She was one of the girls in his class and always seemed to annoy him ever since the beginning of high school last month.

Note: high school is from grade/year 10-12 (16 years of age)

"Well, I asked the teacher where you lived so that I could deliver some notes from a class you missed."

"So you're saying you lied. Anyway please leave my room, we can talk once we are in the living room"

"Ok sorry..." at that moment she looked down and immediately ran out of the room and down the stairs.

'She was so caught up in being annoying that she didn't even notice I was basically naked.' As one could probably already tell, yamashi was a very cold person to those outside his family and didn't care for how they felt. He would only care when it benefited him the most or when he had to uphold his perfect alias.

In this sense, he was much like the Light Yagami Ryuk had taught him about last night.

Ryuk just sat in the corner of the ceiling, playing with his fingernails as yamashi got changed into his school clothes.

He then grabbed the death note and put it into a secret pocket in his black backpack. 'Just in case.'

Authors Note: Thanks for reading. I will be releasing a small summary of the original death note series as an auxiliary chapter some time soon for those who haven't seen it or need a refresher of it.
