Chapter 62

The next day, I went to meet David

" David, the boy we met that day said he wants to follow us,"

David looked at me and he frowned.

" What did you tell him?"

David was annoyed.

" I didn't tell him anything, he said he just wants to follow me,"

" Follow you?"

David's face was with disbelief.

" Why?" I said, " Don't you believe me?"

" It is not the matter of following you, it is the matter that he has fallen for you,"

" No way?" I said with disbelief. "I and he have not known each other for long, so why will he fall for me?"

" How will I know what he sees in you?"

" Are you trying to say that there is no good thing about me?"

" I did not say that,"

David's face was with a small smile.

" Let's go,"

" Okay,"

We left.

Nobody suspects where we are going because David was assigned to be my personal guard. We arrived at the place where Jeremy was. Jeremy was standing under a locus tree. A tree known to blossom every 10 years according to what Favour told her. Jeremy sees us and he waived.

" Why do the two of you take so much time?"

" Sorry about that,"

" So where are the two of you going?"

" You don't know where we are going yet you followed us," David mumbled that only me can hear what he said

" What did you say?"

" I said nothing,"

I looked at David wondering whether I should tell him or not. His look was like ' Why are you asking me, you did not ask me before telling him to come'. I look away from his eyes. I decided to tell him.

" Let's look for a place to sit down,"

We went to sit down at a park that was across from us.

" So what is it?"

" I am looking for a clue of the former Queen who was accused of committing adultery,"

" Is it your step-mother?" he asked curiously " Why are you looking at it, didn't your father sid nobody is to mention it again,"

" I want to help my step-sister find justice for the former queen,"

" Well, you can't look for any clue now,"

" We actually went to the light palace, to look for any clues though we did not find anything outside the compound, we found pieces of skeleton," David said

" Skeleton?... That means someone died without nobody knowing anything about it,"

" yes,"

" My father usually tells me a story about the former queen, my father could hardly believe the queen could commit adultery...My father usually says she is a kind person who looks after everybody equally,"
