lost witches

Tapiwa was looking down from atop the behemoth airship and his head shaking.

"If we fall from this height we are screwed." Tapiwa laughed out as the others were trying to figure out a way to get into the behemoth. His eyes darted from the front to the back of the behemoth before he saw an opening.

"I know how we can go in!"

Everyone looked at Tapiwa with suspicious looks and he pointed at the opening where there was supposed to be a weapons barrel.

"Are you crazy?" Tanyaradzwa asked before Tapiwa nodded. He took a few steps behind before he ran forward and slid down the concave roof of the behemoth landing on the metallic strip that connected the top and bottom part of the behemoth.

Ruvarashe was paralysed with shock when Tapiwa jumped forward. When he had landed safely she looked at Tanyaradzwa who was mortified. The additional witch on their side followed Tapiwa but as he slid down he hit a bump sending him from the curved surface into the air.

Panashe didn't waste time as he swung his arm forward and the mech limb propelled forward and managed to grab the witch and drew him back to the curved surface. The rest of the team used Panashe's gear to get to the strip and proceeded to the opening and their penetration was complete.

"Why the hell do they need all of these for?" Tapiwa asked bobbing around the airship. They proceeded into the cockpit where Mr Fear was surrounded by soldiers and the abducted members.

Panashe's face lit up when he laid his eyes on Jess but the rest of the team were nervous by the amount of guns pointed at them.

"That's one ugly anomaly I tell you. Everyone you're pointing your guns at the wrong people here. Look how handsome I am and look at that." Tapiwa couldn't close his mouth until Mr Fear started clapping.

"The digital witches working with Munashe. I am very disappointed in you Tanyaradzwa given our past and you Mellisa. Standing besides Panashe as if you didn't play a hand in trying to kill him. You witches truly are hypocrites but this time you jumped on the wrong side. Kill them."

The human puppets unloaded their clips towards the intruders who had hidden behind metallic crates. During the reloading time Panashe and his team launched a counter attack taking down as much men as they could before another barrage of bullets searched for them in the large room.

Mr Fear was getting frustrated as he looked towards the warehouse and Nhamo hadn't started the machine. The two groups within the cockpit were now engaged in hand to hand combat. Tapiwa had the most knock outs since his gear was more suited for the job. He had also managed to knock out Jess.

Panashe was fighting but could find Jess and mostly was just pushing people aside avoiding a serious fight with anyone. He caught a glimpse of Mr Fear looking straight ahead and propelled his mech limb forward which was interrupted by one of the army puppets. Mr Fear turned his head and his eyes met with Panashe's.

"All these efforts are useless Panashe. This will also be a mess that you were involved in. Messing up people's lives is your speciality ain't it. Playing with Ron and now because of you Takudzwa is about to lose his wife to be forever. "

Mr Fear smiled as he pointed his hand towards Jess and something was shot from his wrist and plunged into Jess' side. Mr Fear didn't stop at Jess he started shooting short knives at everyone who came into his sight. Panashe managed to avoid one but it wasn't the same for his allies who were still occupied by the soldiers who proved to quite the fighters.

Rage forced Panashe to charge straight for Mr Fear where he received crushing blows knocking him unconscious. The others were barely holding their own when digital witches started flying in using their staffs and turning the tide of battle in an instant. Mellisa went straight to wake Panashe's as the digital witches picked up the injured and jumped out the cockpit through the windows.

Nhamo was being pressured by Munashe as more and more of his men kept being knocked off the roof. He knew his goons weren't good enough to fight the digital witches alone but with Munashe on the opposite side it was only a matter of time before he was left alone. He looked towards the airship and saw witches jumping out the cockpit doors with the abducted people. Even though he was losing he had only been given one job to do .

"You know what Munashe?"

"We have lived all our lives in the dark. Me with my ignorance and you with your sense of justice but we were forced to believe that these creatures were anomalies. There are no anomalies...."

"Stop spewing nonsense Nhamo. Today we finally outsmarted you and you can't believe it." Allen cut him off as he approached.

"Munashe, where do you think anomalies come from?" Nhamo asked as he revealed a senile smile and screamed. When his man heard the scream he pulled the lever and heard the creaking sound of a rotor. The lasers in the torus started firing of creating an energy field between the torus.

Everyone on the roof felt the temperature rising and started running away from the source picking up anyone they could. Munashe was running away when he saw Nhamo walking towards the epicentre of the energy.

The roof of the building was blown away sending Nhamo flying away and a gigantic beam of light shot from within the building reviewing a large machine that was hidden beneath the warehouse.

Mr Fear was trying his luck against Tanyaradzwa and Ruvarashe who were proving to be tough opponents. The giant flash made the women lose focus which resulted in Mr Fear knocking Ruvarashe off her feet and launching several punches towards Tanyaradzwa who couldn't even manage to block a single one and was finished off by a kick to the face which knocked her mask off.

Mellisa was trying to help Panashe gain balance as he appeared to be suffering from a concussion. Tapiwa was trying to finish off a soldier who wasn't easy to land a hit on.

Mr Fear smiled as the behemoth airship approached the accelerated light particles. Mellisa realised that if they didn't jump ship early they were going to regret it. Panashe finally came to his senses and charged towards Mr Fear leaving Mellisa dumbfounded as she tried to stop him by her extended but it was too late. Mr Fear saw Panashe coming and also charged towards him and prepared to knock him out with one blow but he failed as Panashe was enraged at the moment.

With adrenaline helping him ignore pain Panashe was exchanging punches with Mr Fear who was now in distress.

"Stop the airship!" Panashe screamed as he kept Mr Fear occupied. Mellisa rushed to the control panels and went straight for the control lever and pulled it backwards forcing the rotors on the behemoth to rotate and stop midway to the giant beam.

"You fool!" Mr Fear screamed out as he elbowed Panashe and charged towards Mellisa who tried to hold him off but failed.

Munashe was looking at the behemoth and smiled when he saw it stop midair. His happiness was completely shattered as he saw the behemoth propel forward again. He grabbed one of the digital witches who had just landed with a knocked engineer.

"What was happening when you left?"

"The enemy was going haywire and shooting knives everywhere."

"Take a team of ten and get everyone out of there now." Munashe ordered and saw the digital witches using their staffs as they propelled towards the airship.

Within the cockpit Panashe and Mr Fear had resumed their fight. Tapiwa finally managed to knock out the soldier and charged towards Mr Fear where he aided Panashe and they were starting to pressure Mr Fear.

The boys could now feel the temperature increase with every punch they threw and every blow they received. Panashe was using his gear to better their chances but he saw an opening that could even shock Mr Fear himself. He faked an attack and Mr Fear dodged it leaving the mech limb a clear path to the rotors lever and pulled it stopping the airship once more.

Inertia jerked the boys of their feet but Mr Fear was unfazed and used the opportunity to kick them out of their senses. He wanted to reach for the rotors control when Ruvarashe stopped him by punching him away from the control panel. The second punch was avoided and Ruvarashe couldn't stop herself and Mr Fear kicked her back pushing her towards the window. Mr Fear wanted to throw her off when he saw the witches and used Ruvarashe as an obstacle as he threw her out of the airship towards the witches.

The witches used a collective effort to stop her body from free falling to death. The remaining members tried their way towards the airship that had resumed on its path. Mr Fear picked up Tapiwa and proceeded to throw him out the window. The witches had no option but to fly towards Tapiwa's body leaving the other three without any form of assistance.

It was Panashe's turn when Mellisa had also managed to awaken Tanyaradzwa.

"I think I will keep you two as trophies." Mr Fear smiled as he tossed Panashe's body out the window and the behemoth disappeared into the light as if it had been evaporated out of existence.

Munashe who was helping the witches land Tapiwa and Ruvarashe saw the behemoth airship disappear and he was shocked.

"Where are the rest?" He grabbed the witch he had sent by the neck and shaking him.

"Stop Munashe!" Jess cried out from where she had been laid. "Where is Panashe? I saw him on the airship before falling unconscious."

Munashe looked at Jess in awe before he started feeling a weird sensation.

"Oh no." the engineer who used to report to Mr Fear opened his mouth as he realized what was going on.

"Runnnnnnnn !!"

People didn't wait for another warning as they started running away from the large beam as it started sucking metallic objects in.

"What's happening ? !" Munashe asked the engineer.

"It's like a black hole of electricity. The machine is too charged up so it's creating an induced magnetic field that might result in a possible catastrophe !"

Allen was standing close by when he head the engineer screaming to Munashe. He withdrew several disks from his pocket and tossed them towards the chunks that were being sucked in. After five seconds as the chunks stuck to the torus there was an explosion that resulted in an energy surge that pushed everything away with the force of a tsunami.

Munashe, Jess and Xolani were among the few who had remained conscious and saw the beam narrowing down. Allen emerged from under a small pile rubble drawing the attention of everyone as he coughed.

His eyes traced the enormous mass of smoke that raised to the skies and that's when he saw a drone racing towards the light.

"Hey what's that?" He asked as he pointed at it.

"That's Panashe's drone." Xolani cried out as his eyes kept focused on the drone as it entered the narrowing beam and also disappeared.

"What does that mean ?" Jess asked and Allen smiled.

"It means Panashe is still alive wherever he is."
