Toujou Rei, a little boy obsessed with baseball, has always admired his father, Tensei. Wishing to follow in his father's footsteps, Rei dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. In turn, his son's starry-eyed admiration encourages Tensei to keep persevering despite issues, Unfortunately, Tensei dies while protecting Rei from a car accident, which leaves a mental scar on him making him unable to play his beloved baseball anymore, but after getting motivated more than ever, Rei works hard to carve his way in the baseball world by becoming one of the best baseball players as his dad wished.

<p>The next day, Rei already reached the school before the meeting time. He was too excited the whole day. By the time he woke, it was already noon. He spent the rest of the day lazing around, thinking about the camp and the team selection today. Shirogana didn't consult him about the matter again. He knew Rei would make a breakthrough in his catching from now on.</p>

<p>Rei was near the school gates. He checked the time and noticed it was still 3 and the coach asked them to come at 4. He was an hour early. Even if he was early, Rei didn't mind it and made his way towards the field. Seeing the same field he couldn't practice on for the past 4 to 5 days, he felt more accomplished in finding the answer to the problem. </p>
