Please be a bit patient for the first volume i.e 69 chapters which might be a bit stale, the first 69 chapters are used to build the characters around Rei and himself.

Toujou Rei, a little boy obsessed with baseball, has always admired his father, Tensei. Wishing to follow in his father's footsteps, Rei dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. In turn, his son's starry-eyed admiration encourages Tensei to keep persevering despite issues, Unfortunately, Tensei dies while protecting Rei from a car accident, which leaves a mental scar on him making him unable to play his beloved baseball anymore, but after getting motivated more than ever, Rei works hard to carve his way in the baseball world by becoming one of the best baseball players as his dad wished.

Rei looked at the three dishes in front of him and then at the nervous expressions on all three of their faces. He felt like he was Gordon Ramsay, the ruthless critic in the show MasterChef. He smiled and slowly took the spoon from a container and ate the three dishes.

After eating all three of them clean, he smiled more and cleaned his mouth. Reaching for a glass of water he quickly drank some. Wiping his lips, he looked at the three in front of him and said, "They were all good. I can taste your hard work in it." With a smile.

Hearing him, all of them exhaled in relief at the same time. The first to say something was Momoko as she smiled and joyfully said, "That is good Senpai. We were scared you wouldn't like it. Especially Ban." Smirking at her blushing friend.

"It was good. I liked the sweets." Smiling towards Ban.
