Please be a bit patient for the first volume i.e 69 chapters which might be a bit stale, the first 69 chapters are used to build the characters around Rei and himself.

Toujou Rei, a little boy obsessed with baseball, has always admired his father, Tensei. Wishing to follow in his father's footsteps, Rei dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. In turn, his son's starry-eyed admiration encourages Tensei to keep persevering despite issues, Unfortunately, Tensei dies while protecting Rei from a car accident, which leaves a mental scar on him making him unable to play his beloved baseball anymore, but after getting motivated more than ever, Rei works hard to carve his way in the baseball world by becoming one of the best baseball players as his dad wished.

Jumping on the couch beside Sora, Rei asked, "What did you do the whole day?" while noticing a bag of chips in the side and taking some.

"Nothing much. I went for a jog and did some workout. And don't eat those chips, mom wouldn't like it if you eat them at this time. She is already cooking." Grabbing the chip bag from his hand, he kept it back aside.

Swallowing the chips inside his mouth, Rei could only wave his hands and ask, "When are you going to quit the club?" Sora was already a third-year student and had his high school entrance exams coming up in a few months. Even though he got many offers from various schools through baseball, he still wanted to give the test for the sake of it.

"Probably by the end of the year after winter break." Making Rei give a nod.

"So how was the game today? You said you guys lost and went off immediately."
