The Pool Of Damnation
By now, Jane had returned to her original outworldly appearance. She was sitting cross-legged with Jason's head on her lap. One of her hands was on Jason's forehead and the other on his chest.
In a normal scenario, this would have been the most blissful moment in Jason's life. But unfortunately, he was not conscious to enjoy this moment that every man in the empire could dream of but never have.
Jason did not faint because of a lack of Soul Energy in his body. In fact, he still had not drained even ten percent of his total Soul Energy.
His loss of consciousness was primarily triggered by the mental exhaustion and the weakening of his Dantian due to the pill Number One had forced him to consume.
Jane had realized this, and that's why was trying to heal Jason's Dantian with her light magic. She kept channeling her healing light elements into Jason's forehead and Middle Dantian continuously.
Unfortunately, healing techniques were not her forte. She could use some small techniques for external injuries, but those techniques did very little for healing internal organs.
But that did not mean that it was not effective. Jason's complexion had significantly improved over the past twenty minutes. Even the leak of Soul Energy in his Middle Dantian was slowing down, even if it was at a snail's pace.
'What should I do? The roar earlier was anything but good news. Looks like the Evil Lord has already descended onto the plane.'
'Even if I manage to slow down the speed at which Soul Energy is flowing out, that doesn't solve anything. What's more, once that old dog Reed realizes that there is something wrong, he will immediately come charging down here.'
'I wonder if my sister and her people reached here already. Only then we might have a chance'
Various thoughts kept running in Jane's mind. She knew that the situation was very dangerous, but she still kept on trying to heal Jason to the best of her abilities.
Surprisingly, even though she knew that it was Jason's Soul Energy that was acting as a fuel for the Evil Lord on that plane, the thought of simply killing Jason and cutting off the Evil Lord's supply of Soul Energy never crossed her mind even once.
In fact, if it were one of the old fogeys like Nyler or Asin or even her sister Janet, they would not have hesitated even for a second before completely obliterating Jason and his soul. Trying to heal his injuries was simply out of the question!
After all, he was a nobody to them. Why on earth should they risk the safety of an entire plane just for the sake of a nobody?
But subconsciously, Jason was no longer a nobody for Jane. Even she wouldn't be able to explain what was wrong with her, but in her heart, she knew that she couldn't just let Jason die or leave him to his own devices.

The Main Altar of the Skull Temple
*Clash*
Divine Sword Saint Nyler was currently having an intense fight with the Skull Lord. But surprisingly, the Skull Lord had a slight upper hand, it was no longer able to push Nyler around as it had done previously.
"So this is the Domain of a Divine Sword Saint. Truly marvelous!" Janet could not help but praise out. After all, she had been following the Path of the Sword for quite a long time.
The Domain of a cultivator was something like his playing ground. He would gain heightened senses, faster mobility, greater agility, and strengthening of his attacks.
However, a Domain was not something that everyone could hope to achieve. Along with extremely high cultivation, a cultivator needed a very high understanding of both his dominant element and the space element.
As if that was not difficult enough, he needed to have a strong comprehension of combining these two elements in an extremely precise manner in order to be able to form a domain.
But maintaining a Domain was even more difficult. The user needed to constantly keep on mixing the two elements while fighting an opponent. Energy was consumed at a very fast rate and it was almost impossible to replenish. Thus, a cultivator using a Domain needed to end the fight quickly or run away before he exhausted all his energy.
But sadly, Nyler could choose neither of the two options. He could only bet on the Evil Lord losing its source of Energy and forcefully getting pushed out of that plane.
Nyler's plans were definitely not unfounded. While facing the Skull Lord's attacks, he realized that the strength behind his attacks was definitely lesser than it was when he first faced off against it.
Reed, who saw this clearly, was getting more and more upset every minute.
"My Liaison, maybe that boy miraculously found a way to stop his Soul Energy from flowing out? That could be the reason why our Lord has to spend more of his energy fighting the laws of the plane and is unable to fight at full strength." Number One said.
"Of course he is not at full strength. If he were, do you think that these humans could have stood before him for more than a minute?" Reed retorted.
"I need to go and check on what is happening. Number One, hold these ants back for me." Reed waved his hand as the black sphere disappeared and immediately rushed towards the now completely entrance.
"Where do you think you are going, evil cur!!" Janet and Asin immediately slashed out at Reed the moment he came out of the black barrier, forcing him to defend himself.
Number One was about to intercept Asin with a black fireball when he suddenly found himself facing Holy Saint Emperor Ashin.
"Did you enjoy your time inside the protective barrier sitting like a chicken deep inside its coop? Hahaha, come now. Let this Ashin see what you are made of," Ashin said as he charged out with his sword.
"Damn these humans. Kill them first," Reed cursed as he slashed out at Asin.
