Selfish Desires:The beginning

Have you ever wanted something so bad that you find yourself every night thinking about it? Have you ever thought what if you had the power to change everything ?Do you think you would be able to control that power?

Selfish desires

Yami: I honestly dont know how I got here. To the point where I can't even eat. I don't get why he did this to me. Is this my punishment for trying to change things?All I wanted was her to love me. I didn't want her with anyone besides me. I deserve her!!....No... I have to go back!! Work why wont it work

Two years earlier

Yami: 57, 58, 59, 60 just 40 more to go and I can finally talk to her.

As Yami was doing situps all he could think about was that one girl. He told himself if he did 100 situps he would finally talk to her.After an hour of situps and another two hours of just staring at the send button

He finally did it

He was beyond scared. He was thinking to himself "what if she thinks I'm weird for texting her we barley talk in class ....No what am I saying I'm gangster I don't get scared, ya shes gonna see my message and be like oh its Yami ". As he was trying to convince himself that he was a "GaNGster" with his stuffed pig he heard his phone ring. It was her. Yami with joy takes the phone and starts to think if mabey he should wait 10 or 15 minutes to answer to not look to clingy. But he couldn't wait so he opens it and she said

Ayame:"hey

its kinda weird for you to be texting me"

Yami" Ya i know but I was bored. So wyd"

Ayame "ohhh really well im not bored so bye"

Yami was confused on why she did that. He barley even talked to her so how can she get mad at him. He thought "there's no way I could go to school now. Its gonna be so awkward, fuck!" Yami was squirming all around the room having a mini panic attack. Ayame on the other hand looked and rembered the moments back where she tried to talk and be friends with Yami but he just ignored her. She was still bitter but regreted just blowing him off. She was also nervous to go to school.

Ayame:"IM SO STUPID!!! "

The next day while going to school Yami was sitting in class all day daydreaming. Looking at Ayame as if she was the only person that mattered in his own little world. Right beside him was his best friend. Good looking ,clear face ,nice curly hair ,nice personality,caring and patient basically the opposite of Yami. Yami was rocking a bowl hair cut. His name was Haru. He tapped his head and asked if he was alright. Yami explains everything that was going on.

Haru: "Damn thats....ummm oh noo!" (he was laighing)

Yami: "Its not that funny you dick! I really tried!

Haru: "I can tell! But like I said you should of talked to her last year like she wanted to, you know instead of running away like a pussy"

Yami: "Its funny how you say that when I never seen you talk or even hang out with a girl. Plus I couldn't.... I was busy

Haru: "Doing what all you do is go home and sleep!

[Yami stayed quiet]

Haru: " sorry its none of my business"

Yami: "Its fine....oh shit! oh shit! Shes coming! Act Natural

As they continued walking Ayame passed by them. Yami had his face to the wall, laughing as if the wall made joke or something. But luckily enough, Ayame was looking at the floor also trying to avoid any eye contact

Haru: [sigh]

They both passed by each other with out saying a single word.

Haru: " So are you done talking to the wall or can we talk about the island were going too later.

Yami: " Your not going!"

Haru:Oh really![shouting] YO AYAME!!

Ayame turns around but doesn't see the voice that called her name because Yami quickly pulled Haru and himself into the janitors room.

Yami: "Okay chill! You cam come but why? I'm just going to take a picture of it so I could post it online. Im trying to get them Likes on the page.

Haru: " Cool I'm free today so I'm going"

Yami: Its a 30 minute swim you know that right.

After school yami and Haru went to explore a island ,no matter what Yami said Haru was set on going to an island that magicaly appeared about 2000 yards from sakuso beach.As they both took of their clothes off. Haru notices the scars on Yami's back.He didn't say anything but wondered how he got them there. Then Haru rembered a rumor he heard about the island.

Haru: "You know there's a rumor about the island. Supposedly a demon named Aku lives there. He's a demon who brings disaster and choses one person to up hold his will and bring disaster to this world and any person who enters there disappears.

Yami: " Ya. I know about the whole legend and its not just rumors, people went in to explore and never returned. You can leave if you want because well I'm pretty sure you already know I'm not here just to take a picture.

Haru: So what suicide?

Yami: " No I have a reason , lets just say by the end of the day the island will be gone.

Haru: "I have no idea what you mean but ill be there, I won't leave you alone. You and me are more than besfriends were brothers if we die we die together!

Yami: Thank's bro I love your bitchass too but if anything happens run okay both of us dont need to die.

Harui: "sure don't worry I will.

Haru was lying he would never leave him to die.

As they both layed on the beach and continued to talk ,Yami for a quick second looks at the island from a far and starts to realize that he might not come back from this but didn't care. But he thought, what if Haru gets hurt and for a second he thought maybe he should just knock him out and leave him here because he didn't want the person he considered family to be gone. But in the end he let his friendship cloud his judgment

Yami: lets get going

After 25 minutes of swimming they finally arrived to the island. The island at first seemed like any other island you would go to if you were on vacation. Beautiful palm trees and colorful fruit that surrounded the island. Both at first didn't understand how people disappeared in this island. But the further they went the more they started to realize why regular people didnt try to go inside further than 100 ft in to the island. The smell of death was strong. So strong in fact Haru was on his knees not able to breath that awful smell and before long he passed out. But for some unknown reason it didn't faze Yami. It had no effect unlike Haru who fainted. Yami was actually glad he fainted because now he can do what he came here to with out distractions. He dragged Haru down to the Island's beach and left him there to sleep. He reaches his pocket and reveals a explosive he created. A explosive that could easily destroy the whole island as long as he placed it in the middle of the island. Which was the risky part because in the middle of the island there was a temple where all the people went missing. But it had to be done.

As Yami continued his journey into the island he sees a temple and sighs with relief Telling himself its almost over. As he goes up the old stone stairs of the temple he sees a man just sitting there. He was shookith because he thought there was no one on the island besides him and Haru. No one ever made it out the island they all just disappeared. As Yami was trying to process what he is seeing the man spoke

Temple man: "Why did you come here young man. Do you desire power, do you desire revenge what do you want

[Yami looked at him confused he couldnt just say he was gonna blow up this mans home]

Yami: wait! what! who are you!?

Temple man: I have no name but the people inside here called me Aku before they vanished. How did you make it in hear with out one of those fancy masks.

Yami: huh..Scary! Well Ima just go nice meeting you Aku bye!!

As he ran out the temple he threw the device inside and ran. He had 30 min to leave before it blew up. But then time suddenly stoped. He was paralyzed. Aku walked out the temple slowly.

Aku: "Out of all the humans that came here your the first one to not come here out of selfish desires or a greedy thirst for power."

[Aku's red eyes glowed, he was looking though Yami's soul,his past memories and his future.]

Aku: " A very interesting human indeed.

Aku's eyes had a sad expression. Yami seemed confused. To him Aku didn't look like a demon. Eyes that feel pain for another person couldn't be all that bad.

Aku: " So your the reason why I woke up. A human with a strong will that affects time itself. But one things certain Human.....No I mean Yami you will suffer that's for certian. When the time comes you will have to choose the fate of this world.

Aku unfreezes Yami

Yami: " Fuck you [cough,cough] I couldnt breath [cough]bitch

Aku: Oh sorry I forgot humans need air to breath!

Yami started to remember a glimpse of his past where he saw everyone die because he couldn't dirty his hands. Which triggered him

Yami: " Having a strong will!? Me!? Power!? Mr. WHATEVER you are Im a killer who doesnt deserve any Power! IM A PERSON WHO LET PEOPLE DIE BECAUSE HE DIDNT WANT TO DIRTY HIS HANDS! I'm not worthy for nothing I'm a useless piece of shit who deserves to die someone who only cares about him self.

Aku: Yet you came here so Ayame wouldnt be in danger. My eyes reveal all your secrets . For starters I know everything about your family and what you do now.My eyes can see right through you. And unless you want more innocent people to die then accept this power!.

Yami looks at him suprised. Not knowing weather he can trust him or not. He still remembers all the people that died because of him.

Yami: " You made your point! So all I got to do is take this power?Then what

Aku: "That's for you to decide. But this power will only work if your will is strong. But if you become stained that power will consume you and break you. In life having desires can be noble but when you start to step on people you lose your self to a void of darkness.

Yami: "You sound like a typical old guru that's about to guide me to glory and fame!But I will take this power. By the way what is the power we are talking about. Super strength, flying, reading peoples mind or mind control.

Aku: I dont know... for every person its different. I was given the power of true sight.

Yami : Wait so that means you were also like me. Your human not a devil but you killed so many and why are were we chosen"

Aku: Every power is given for a reason my purpose was to find you but I do know one thing your world is introuble. Your given those powers for a reason. Also I didn't kill any one they vanished because of their greed. This temple is sacred, people who enter here with evil temptation they vanish to.... well I don't know where.Lucky that Haru kid fainted or he would of vanished to.

Yami: "What but he has no evil what's so ever!

Haru: " Thats for you to find out."

Yami: "What! What ever but its kinda cool this is kinda like a superhero origin story!The myth the man the legend Yami the black devil, the man who took powers to save the world even if it meant destroying himself. Yepp! Sounds cool to me."

While saying that he smiled and laughed without a care in the world. His demeanor changed so fast that sometimes you couldn't tell if he was acting or not. At first Aku was confused, he didn't understand how someone could smile and just accept the fact there going to suffer even more but then he realized this kid was already in his own hell, suffering everyday from his past mistakes. But even if he's dying on the inside he was still willing to accept a power to save the world not because of he cares for the world but because to him its the least he can do. He thinks he deserves to suffer.

Yami: "At least this way no one has to soak there hands in blood.No kid should ever suffer as I did. I'm not some hero of justice. I don't believe I have a strong will. But ill do my best its the least I can do.

They were both silence for a few seconds.

Aku: Yami put your domimate hand up.

He puts his left hand up. Aku begins to chant

Aku: "As times gets darker a new light must shine I Fudo Sato the wielder of foresight will now transfer my light to a new vessel so he can shine and break down any evil that might come his way"

[A shining light enters Yami.]

Yami looked at himself hoping that he would change into a more muscular physique but no he stayed the same. But then got curious

Yami: " Your name is Fudo sato!?

Fudo: Well I was once human too you know.

Yami: Wait was!?

Then just like that the island disappeared in an instant. Him and Haru were teleported back to sasuko beach. As Yami tried to put his head around the whole situation Fudo spoke to him in his mind.

Fudo: Yami Ill be watching. When the time comes we will meet each other agian

Yami: wait can you at least tell me a hint on how to activate it.

Fudo: Good luck

Then after that he wasn't heard of again.

In another world

Unknown voice:Why didn't you tell him his future or give him a little hint.

Fudo: Yami is a special kid ,the first of whom who has no direct path. Meaning anything can happen.

Unknown voice: Wait what!? I thought you chose him because you knew he was gonna save everyone.

Fudo: I dont chose, the light does if he wasnt the one his body would of instantly been destroyed. Every path leads him to "The fallen one" but what happens after that I don't know. Me telling him would only trigger an outcome we don't want

Unknown voice: I hope your right or else both worlds are finished.
