Ch.3

The next morning we did our clean up routine and headed to school in Emmett's Jeep. Alice hadn't wanted to drive and I wanted to feel the wind. Alice met up with Bella and I headed to the front office to bump up mine and Alice's grades and get new schedules.

We'd arranged to take the tests to join Bella and the others as juniors. Once Edward returned he'd do the same. Alice and I sat through the tests and matched our schedules before joining Bella in biology.

Alice took Edward's usual seat and I sat next to Rosalie on the opposite side of the room. Her usual human partner took the hint while Rose subwhispered. "Thanks, she spends more time staring at me then anything else. It grates on my nerves."

I chuckled and started working on the class assignment. After school Alice went with Bella to meet up with Esme. They wanted to talk room decorations and space maximizing. Rosalie drove over with her tools and started a preliminary inspection of the truck as well.

Emmett and I were left to make our own fun so we went on a hunt with Edward. Emmett bagged a deer while Edward got a mountain lion. When they finished draining them I brought them back to the house before skinning and grilling the meat.

I enjoyed some homemade bbq while Edward played some of his own music. Emmett broke another controller while I was eating so he had to grab the new ones from the truck of the car.

I shopped online and ordered Rosalie's parts with one day shipping. When I finished that, I looked over the builders working on the property an acre away while I had my food. Emmett asked. "Why do you cook it when you eat it raw as a wolf?"

I shrugged. "I'm used to the flavor as a wolf where I don't like it raw myself. I can't after Rome, it reminds me to much of what I ate then."

He frowned but didn't push. Edward stopped playing for a second there before picking up the tempo again. I sighed and lowered my barriers and pushed the lighter of those memories to the surface. I knew instantly that he picked them up when the house went silent.

I put my shields back up saying. "Those were the good days during that time."

Edward came in and gave me a hug. "I'm sorry you had to experience that."

I ruffled his hair. "Think nothing of it little bro, just try not to ask for more. I don't like to dwell. Alice knows and helps where she can but the damage is done and I've long since moved passed it. I just tend to have quirks about certain things now."

I washed up while they talked about the memories I'd showed him. When I finished the cleanup I joined Emmett and Edward outside for a three way wrestling match. Edward was fast and Emmett was strong but I was experienced and with both speed and strength it was a true struggle for them to win.

When they finally worked together to pin me, I gave them the win. It only took the five hours so it was a new best. The girls had arrived when we were washing up. Alice joined me for a light shower while telling me about her new friend. She'd met Charlie while Esme was showing possible designs and talking pant textures with Bella.

Apparently Rosalie has surprised him on his way in. She'd taken apart the trucks engine and was cleaning the gasket rings when he met her. Rosalie needed her own shower apparently.

We got out just as my eyes started their green tint. I pushed it down and we joined the others in the living room. The girls had met Bella and her father and it seems they actually liked her regardless of Edward's opinion.

Emmett laughed when he found out Rosalie liked her spunk. I suggested. "Perhaps we should have Emmett find something to do with her has well. Maybe dirt bike racing or teaching her kickboxing- on second thought, maybe something less hand eye coordinative like bird watching."

Emmett frowned. "What's so fun with bird watching?"

I snorted. "Not the point, Bella is apparently very clumsy and accident prone. With our luck she ends up leaning into a punch and your charged with the murder of the police chief's daughter. Volturi would come and slaughter us and the rest of the town to keep the secret. Let's just say that's a bad future."

I grimaced and Alice nodded seeing a glimpse before agreeing. "He's right. We would need something less hands on for you two to do. Maybe we should take her to the beach in Seattle some time. You two could build sand castles, at a human pace."

I grinned and told them. "I already have the reservations so no take backs either. It starts Friday after school and we can come back Sunday night. Alice will ask her to come and Esme can chaperone as it were."

Carlisle asked. "And I'll be?"

I grimaced as a vision hit Alice and I knew what it was. She spoke up. "You'll be at the hospital. There's going to be a flu epidemic in the nursing home. Several are going to die regardless but if you act tomorrow you can save most that would die."

He sighed. "At least I'll be doing some good."

I smiled weakly. He knew my opinion on it as well. Human's died, it was apart of living. I knew helping them was his passion so I didn't say anything. We'd argued once when the atomic bomb was dropped during World War Two. He'd went to Japan to help where he could to relieve their suffering.

I'd told him it was pointless but he argued that to not try would mean he was going against his code. In the end he came back with a defeated look that broke our hearts. I didn't have the heart to say 'I told you so'.

From then on I never brought up my opinion on the mortal coil with him. Our week continued with Alice and Bella getting closer as friends. Rosalie joined them to my amusement. Emmett seemed happy Rosalie had found a friend as well.

When the weekend came I was glad to have booked the private beach as Seattle was crowded. After a couple cloudy days of sand castles and hot tub relaxation we headed back home. Another two and a half weeks went by in a blink as Bella's room and truck were finished.

Rosalie had even repainted the truck blue with black stripes on the side. It was a fully repaired gas guzzling beast now. On the day Edward rejoined us back at school we had front row seats to his blunders.

The girls helped him talk his way through their first meeting. I chuckled a little at his obvious slip ups. He retook his seat next to Bella and I gave my seat next to Rosalie in favor of sitting next to a human that gawked at me for half the class period.

I'd started to get annoyed a bit and my eyes were green by the end of class, but I got through it. Alice has to calm me down and keep me from killing the humans. Rosalie found it amusing though, saying. "That's What I've dealt with for nearly sixty years."

When I shrugged it off I joined them in PE. After a few games of dodge ball that ended with me being the first one out via Alice I sat on the bench for a break. Alice joined me to make sure I stayed calm. My wolf was closer to the surface than ever before as tonight was the begging of my changes.

After a quick lunch Alice and I skipped the rest of the day and headed home. We missed the car accident and the field trip the two next days. After the third day I went to school feeling ragged and worn out like usual. It was more of a mental weakness than a physical one but even then it did make me physically weaker than most vampires.

It was the price of power I guess. When I heard Bella invite Edward to La Push I felt another vision of Alice and me in the sun. I told her we'd have our sunny day Sunday. Emmet whooped and Edward used the camping trip as his way out of the beach trip.

After school Esme handed me a tray of the protein mix to perk up the wolf. It had bear blood in it to help with the taste. I let the wolf take over and devour it happily. After the third tray I called a halt to it as the wolf was enjoying it now. It liked the new additives better and it wanted a lot of it.

After rinsing our my mouth I told Esme the verdict. "It's a lot better. It seems to make the taste more palatable to both the wolf and me. It didn't want to stop."

She smiled and sighed. "I'll make sure to keep it this way then. How's your strength? Are you still feeling weak?"

I sighed and nodded. "Some but it's manageable. It'll pass with the night. It's merely the moons leftover effects on me now."

She nodded. "That's good at least."

Alice pulled me in for a kiss and Esme wondered off. After she pulled back she murmured. "Still a hint of lamb. Has my big bad wolf been playing amongst the sheep?"

I grinned mischievously. "Now that would be telling, love. By the way, I've added your newest portrait to my collection."

She smiled. "That's good. The pool should be done by Sunday evening. Once we spend our time in the woods would you care for a swim?"

Chuckling I answered. "With you darlin? Always."

She led me to the den where I became her pillow while she read. I sang Lullaby by Nickelback softly and held her. I caught Esme and Carlisle ballroom dancing like it was a loud slow dance song. Rosalie was humming to the tune while Emmett was playing smash Bro's on silent.

Edward played the sheet music to it and added his own twists. Alice looked up at me when I switched to If You Could Only See by Tonic. I smiled and continued, giving her a light hug. When I finished the song she looked up and asked. "What brought that on?"

I smiled lightly. "Love darlin, love."

My eyes were tinted green far longer than even I'd noticed. She reached up to pull my head down for our very own Spider-Man kiss. I growled a little in my throat when I heard Emmett's wolf whistle. He chuckled. "That's kinda hot. Rose, want to try it?"

When we broke apart she suggested the den but I shook my head. "Not now love, holding you here and now is more than enough to satisfy a beast like me."

She nodded slowly and went back to her book while I began another tune. Songs and albums of love passed as the night went on and morning came. As the sun rose up clouds covered the light and our day went on. Edward went to seek Bella out but I stopped him saying. "She's heading to La Push today. Let her enjoy her time with the humans and wolves. She's safe, you have my word."

He seemed to relax at that and went to compose his own music. We listened and when Alice set her book down, I let her up. She sighed. "I need to feed. Come with me?"

I smiled. "Always love."

We went into the woods and hunted deer. I made sure the buck wasn't our target but the rest were fare game. When she was satiated I led her to the cabin for some wild lovemaking.

The day passed in our passion fueled love making and eventually a bright morning set in. When my wolf sensed it I was the one to pull away and take us outside to our lightly wooded area. When I saw her there sitting naturally on a fallen tree, I sighed. "This is the moment from my vision."

She smiled and raised a finger signaling me to join her. I didn't even hesitate and became her cushioned pillow. I sighed. "My beautiful pixie, if I could, I'd give you wings and let you fly wherever they may take you."

She giggled before replying. "They'd take me right here to this moment with you."

After the sun set in we got up and grabbed a shower and some swim clothes before spending the rest of the day in the heated pool. Rosalie and Esme were the first to try out the hot tub while Emmett joined us in the pool with Edward.

Carlisle eventually got home and tried the hot tub after a double shift. When he got home I called a family meeting. After everyone gathered I told them. "The wolves have broken the treaty. Yesterday the Black's descendant told Bella a story about us, more specifically about how the treaty was formed. He linked it to the Cullen last name."

When I told them that, Alice had a vision of Bella as a vampire. She didn't close her mind so Edward saw it as well. I sighed when a similar one hit me. "The path is set right now. Bella's going to find out the full truth soon. We won't be back in school to slow her down because tomorrow's sunny as well."

Edward growled and I sighed. "The damage isn't done. How we handle it will determine the rest."

Carlisle nodded. "I'll call a meeting with the tribe to ask why they're letting their kids tell our secrets."

I agreed. "Demand reparations. Tell them that since they're responsible for the break in the treaty they must renegotiate the terms. This time I'll go as well for the new treaty, I've a problem with them coming into our territory if we can't come into theirs. I want to establish a non aggression treaty to allow us to pass onto their lands in times of battle. I've a feeling it'll be necessary with how things are going. I saw a group of nomads passing through and they may become a problem."

He nodded and made the call. They set the time for tomorrow during school hours near the border. When we showed up, I had a newer treaty written up and while they asked about me, Carlisle just told them I was on the same strict diet as the rest.

Billy Black read over the treaty and signed it as if underlined the newest changes. We each signed it in turn. When I gave him their copy I told him clearly. "Make sure your shape shifters are aware of the change as well. While it may seem minor I don't want any accidents or slip ups that could cause us to revisit this. You may not yet feel it, but theirs a storm brewing. Some nomadic human blood drinkers are going to pass through town and we don't know if they're friendly or not. You're more than welcome to reinforce the treaty where you deem necessary to keep your people safe. Might I suggest you keep the young ones near the tribe while they're here?"

He thanked me for the news and we parted ways. That evening Alice told Edward to head to Port Angeles and find Bella. He took off like a bat out of hell and we retired to the hot tub. It and the pool had become our new congregating area for the most part.

I smiled and pulled Alice into my lap saying. "And so it begins. Your vision is a near certainty now."

She raised an eyebrow. "Which one?"

I just grinned and kissed her. The others looked our way and Emmett repeated the question. I sighed releasing her lips. "Bella seems to be apart of our family in nearly every vision I've had since Edward left. I've been thinking on the future and deciding some things to figure out how it may turn out. In almost all the outcomes she becomes like us."

Esme asked. "And the other ones?"

I shook my head. "Dead, or as close to it as humans can get without crossing over. The Black boy ensured she'd figure it out and since we're so close, Edward's decisions effect me as well in an almost direct view so I've seen what he's up to. From what she's learned tonight she'll put it together by tomorrow morning."

Alice asked. "Is she still my friend?"

I grinned. "Yes love, in every outcome she stays your friend. There may be some inane way I haven't thought to decide on yet that she stays human but even then I doubt she'd stop being your friend."

Esme asked. "Then she's-"

I nodded. "Edward'a mate, yes. While I can't see the details yet, she and he are destined as far as I can tell."

Esme and Carlisle smiled while Rosalie scowled a little. I sighed. "You must understand Rose, what you wanted was a choice and that's all she'll want, the same choice. You can't blame her for the one she makes, she isn't you. All people are different inside, perhaps that's why they find each other. To compliment what they lack or find attractive."

I rubbed Alice's arms and chuckled. "Besides, you can't hate the outcome when it lead you to Emmett, not that I'd call that a complete win."

Emmett chuckled good naturally and splashed me with pool water. "Says dog boy!"

Rosalie sighed. "You're right, I know you are, but it still hurts sometimes."

I nodded. "I get it. Believe me, I know pain if nothing else. But the secret I've found to getting around it is not to dwell and instead fill your days with love."

I turned my attention from the couple to Alice and kissed her lightly. Twenty minutes later Carlisle was called in by the sheriff's department to help with a body.

The next day I watched with Alice as Bella led Edward into the woods by the school. "She knows. Come on darlin, it's time for class. She'll be fine I'm sure."

Alice nodded. "She will, I've seen it."

The day went by fast as I made excuses for their absences. Rose drove us home in her convertible where Edward was still absent. For the next week he was enthralled in his version of a courtship.

When he informed us he wanted to bring her by the next day I chuckled. "Tell her to come hungry, Esme wants to make Italian. It'll be nice not to eat alone. Not that I'd eat Italian."

The next day Alice and I arrived fresh from a hunt. I brought in the deer I'd be making while they made Italian food. Alice had caught and drained the deer as her meal.

I cleaned it outside and dumped the skin and organs in the river before bringing it inside. While it only took me five minutes, Bella and Edward had arrived just after I put the venison on the grill.

I washed up while Alice hung on my back and kissed my neck. Rosalie spoke. "Is she even Italian?"

I shrugged and grabbed Alice's legs, helping get a firmer hold while she bit into my neck. The smell of my blood leaked out but only Edward reacted. He'd been the only one of the family unable to build a mind scape. It actually helped to control emotions and even hunger.

They each had excellent control and Edward only stopped to scowl as he didn't find my blood appealing. When Alice finished her snack she kissed my neck and hopped down, just in time for Bella and Edward to come into the kitchen.

Esme asked her. "I hope you're hungry, you're the only one that eats besides Zach and he can't eat Italian."

Bella looked at me questioningly causing me to chuckle. "Little Ed didn't tell you all about me?"

She shook her her head before asking. "Little?"

I laughed and Alice told her. "Zach's special even by our standards. He's also the oldest vampire here by a long shot."

I pulled her into my arms. "The second oldest is Carlisle, he's just shy of four hundred. I'm older than everyone here put together and even adding you. I was born some time before Rome was founded and when everyone lived in mud and straw huts. After a while I lost count but I know I'm over three thousand six hundred years old."

Her eyebrows shot way up. "Wow that's..."

I chuckled. "Yes I've been around the block."

Emmett laughed. "That's not even the most interesting part about him."

I snorted. "Em you flatter me. Care for another one on one in the yard?"

He chuckled. "Sure, but I get a handicap. No arms."

I smiled and we went outside in a blur. Alice told Bella. "He's a hybrid. A vampire and werewolf mix. As far as he and we can tell his mother was a werewolf and she was impregnated by a vampire seer. He wanted some sort of revenge on Zach's grandfather for not helping him so he took her and abused her. He's the result. He may seem happy now but he's been through a lot."

I ignored the rest and proceeded to kick Emmett's ass with my hands behind my back. When he was thoroughly trounced, I went back inside and let him clean himself up. I arrived at the grill and started taking the meat off.

Bella asked. "Where's Emmet?"

I smiled. "He's cleaning my foot print off his butt. That and the garbage he ended up in."

Rosalie scowled. "He'd better take a shower this time."

Alice came over to me as I set the plate on the counter. Edward and Rosalie moved closer to Bella before she noticed the mood change. "What's going on? Why's everyone so tense?"

Edward answered her. "Zach's inner wolf eats the food most of the time. We're unsure of how it'll react with a human around once he gives it free reign. We're waiting for Emmett and Carlisle's getting some tranquilizers in case it sees you as a better meal."

Bella replied. "He's over three thousand years old, how can he not know how it'll react near humans?"

I grimaced and Alice rubbed my back while I answered her. "The first and last humans I let my wolf bear it ate. Those were unique circumstances and let's just say they can't and won't be repeated."

She seemed even more confused but Edward told her he'd tell her about it later. When Carlisle and Emmett came back in Esme took her place near Bella and Emmett went to my left. Carlisle stood waiting behind me. When I let it take control my eyes changed a vibrant green and the wolf sniffed around, taking in everyone's apprehension.

Went it smelled Bella, everyone tensed as it growled and claws started pushing through my fingernails. Alice pulled us to face her and murmured. "Shoosh, behave and I'll give you a treat tonight."

The wolf relaxed a little and turned to its meal, ignoring the rest of the group. Alice told them. "Just don't bring her around during the full moon phases and leave her unattended and I should be able to steer him away. I don't think it likes humans very much and I doubt it's for food either. The Romanian's did a number on him and they used their human slaves to torture him. The wolf took the brunt of it but it only associated humans and occasionally vampires with its torment. It'll take time to make it realize you weren't responsible for it."

Bella asked. "How long was it like that?"

Alice grimaced. "A thousand years as far as either of them can tell. It's a mesh of pain and agony. Let's just say they got creative and leave it at that."

The wolf growled as it ate and Alice whispered sweet things to it before telling them. "Before I found him he'd only ever spent any significant time with one other friend and their dead now. He spent most of his life in the forests and deserts avoiding civilization because his experiences with it weren't that great."

When the wolf finished eating I tried to reign it in. It's claws hadn't receded and it had found a new target now. Alice spoke took it in a hurried whisper before telling Edward. "Take Bella out of here slowly. It's targeted her as its next problem. Carlisle don't, it has full control right now and it'll kill the first that attacks it."

A deep growl vibrates out of our chest while I fought it for control it really didn't want to give up. Alice made her way into our view and the growl quieted down. The wolf could prioritize like any other. Now it had become food, mate, kill. Before it had been food, kill, mate.

(In the Wolf's POV.)

She knew she had our attention when she smiled and darted in a blur. We chased, crashing through the kitchen at a speed she barely matched. We were catching up and soon we'd have her.

She began playing games and we could play as well. We dropped down to all fours and increased our speed. She laughed a musical tone that set us on edge and we almost caught her, crashing into a tree and taking it down when she dodged.

Shaking our head we continued the chase and when we found her trail we saw her in a tree. We called to it and it answered bending to our needs. She pouted as we tackled her.

She giggled as we removed the fake fur and rolled her over. When we found her ready we entered our mate and roared shaking the forest and scaring the weak prey away.

She moaned and pushed against us and we bit into her shoulder. We were in control and we would do the mounting. We began thrusting at full speed. She moaned and buried her human paws in the dirt. When we felt her release, we prodded her womb and felt us enter. We began our own release as we expanded in her causing her to shiver and gasp.

We released her shoulder and roared, letting the world know we were alpha and she was our mate. When we finished our mind went foggy and our other half took control from us. We fought to keep it but he surprised us.

I finally got back control as a massive orgasm shook my body. I felt weirder than I'd ever felt before. I'd never experimented with the wolf's abilities because things got foggy on who and what I was when I first tried. Now it seems it or we can ejaculate like a wolf.

When I felt the bulge swelling Star to go down, I slid out of Alice and she moaned as her own orgasm continued to wrack her body. I picked her up and carried her to the cabin as we weren't far away from it. After washing us off I laid Alice on the bed as she seemed to be continuing her orgasm.

Sighing I laid down beside her and held her in my arms. When she finished, she sighed. "That was amazing, I didn't think that was even possible. It was the best-"

I grunted. "I'm not my wolf thank you. You needn't encourage it. I barely got back control as it is."

She giggled. "Is someone jealous of their big bad wolf?"

I shrugged. "Maybe darlin. I've never felt that powerful of an orgasm either. For a second there my wolf and I truly became one and it scared the hell out of me."

She rolled on top of me and grinding against me before smiling. "Freud would have a field day with you and your inner beast. Let's leave that out for now, I want another round, this time with you."

She pulled herself up and slid me home. My breathe hitched and she grinned beginning her own pace. When we finally crashed over our peak I felt the weird bulge come back and she started bucking on me like I was a bull.

I sat up to meet her as my release blasted full force inside her sending her over an even higher edge.

I leaned forward and took her nipple into my mouth and gave it a flick with my tongue while my other hand reached below for her nub to push her far higher still. She screamed her own orgasm as it hit her like a tsunami.

I held her as my own crashed over me in waves. For a while I thought I'd never stop releasing inside her. I began to get a little worried when I felt a bulge in her stomach forming. She continued to spasm and enjoy her own release.

Finally I felt myself start to soften and she came out of it slowly. When she felt it was ok, she slipped off my softening length with an audible pop and a rush of liquid that flowed out of her. The sheets soaked with our combined mess while she leaned forwards on my chest.

An hour later we re-entered the main house clean and clothed. The wolf was far more docile now and didn't even bother when I saw Bella and Edward playing the piano. We started to dance while they payed us no mind.

When Bella did notice us Edward stopped her from freaking out. "He's ok now. It's easy to tell with him. If you see no green in his eyes he's in full control of himself. A little green means he's struggling for control with his wolf and all green is the wolf in control."

We stopped dancing and I turned to Bella and bowed. "I'm sorry for my other sides reactions. I mean no harm to you."

She nodded slowly and I heard her heartbeat slow back down from its panicked state. Alice slipped over to Bella. "Let's go see about a makeover and let the boys talk."

Bella followed her and I apologized to Edward. "I'm sorry little bro, I won't test it again. Humans mean no wolf."

He sighed. "It's not a problem. We had to know. Besides, Alice seems to have the wolf and you wrapped around her finger."

I chuckled. "That she does. Even when it was in full control it wanted her more than the food or Bella dead. It only ate because of her promise and when she got it's attention it wanted her more than being near the main house. Though I did have a minor panic attack when it chased her. Speaking of which I better get to the clean up."

He shook his head. "Emmet took care of it. He also seemed to find the roars and screams coming from the forest hilarious."

I shrugged and let him go find Bella while I went to find Emmett. I found him doing dishes while Carlisle and Rosalie installed a spare window. I apologized to them and Emmett laughed. "Don't worry about it. It seems the beast needed let loose anyway."

I snorted and Esme swatted the back of his head causing him to laugh louder. I helped them clean up the super dishes and broken table before bringing in a new one. Sighing I rubbed the back of my head. Carlisle must've sensed my stress because he asked. "What's wrong?"

I replied. "There's been some physical changes since the wolf had control. It had a stronger control than I'd ever felt even during the full moon."

He frowned. "What are the changes?"

I showed him the claws as they came out at will now. He seemed surprised as I told him. "I've never had that change before but there's another one as well."

He raised an eyebrow and I sighed. "When it had its release a bulge formed in my penis like a real wolf's would. It happened again when I was in control. As far as I can tell it's a permanent change now."

Emmett burst out laughing and I made the floor sprout vines, covering his mouth and effectively gagging him. I was seriously worried about this and I wanted answers. Carlisle went into doctor mode. "Let's go to my office. I'll need a sample as well-"

I set handed him a small tub. He took it and I handed him my venom/blood mixture I'd taken before the shower as well. "I need answers Carlisle. Whatever else you need from me just ask."

After a series of questions he nodded and asked Alice to join us. She gave him her answers and samples as well. Before he let us go I told him. "There was something else as well. When it roared the final time its thoughts were almost clear to me. It was a display of dominance and a declaration that Alice was its mate. The only clear impression I got was that it was an Alpha or the alpha if that means anything to you."

His eyes lit up. "We've always theorized the werewolves originated from one source, a bite like us vampires. We were able to trace eleven werewolves back to the time before the Volturi. If what you're saying is what I think, then your wolf started it all the night of your thirteenth birthday. That would make you the progenitor of the werewolf species, this is big if it's true."

I shook my head. "Keep it in the family Carlisle. I know for a fact the Volturi would hunt and kill all of us to make sure I died If they knew or even suspected it was true."

He nodded and I released Emmett in the kitchen. He let out a barking laugh before quieting down. Alice went back to her makeover session and I headed to our room to read up on alpha's and progenitors of species wherever I could find it.

Worry drove my search and I hadn't even felt night fall or Alice enter the room and join me in our search. My visions were oddly unresponsive when it came to the wolf and it's origin. I knew who gave it to me, but now I needed the how.

I searched out my biological father from my grandfather's description. I found a blank slate and was left clueless until a vision struck me hard, driving me to the floor. I saw the end of breaking dawn where the half vampire and his aunt showed up on the field. The vision seemed to be singling them out.

When I searched them out and their location in my memories I realized they were some of the memories I'd lost before I built my mind palace. Sighing I realized certain events would have to play out before I'd get my answers.

I turned to see Alice going through book after book on werewolves. Sighing I told her. "That's enough for now. I had another vision we won't find answers in any of these. The answers lay elsewhere and won't be available for years yet."

She frowned and I explained. "Bella was a vampire in the vision and we were fixing to go to war. My answers lay then, not now."

She set her book down asking. "Who were we going to fight?"

I shrugged. "The vision didn't focus on that, it focused on a specific vampire I know we won't find until war is upon us. Oddly enough he's the answer to stopping the war as well."

She lightened up at that knowing that since I wasn't to worried we'd be fine. We left the room and another vision struck me. I chuckled. "Baseball is this Saturday."

Emmett whooped from the den and Esme met us at the bottom of the stairs. "Is the war-"

I shook my head. "I don't know. It was vague. It was a battlefield and we and a lot of people were on one side ready to fight. The vision didn't give me the other angles. The tribe was with us though and from what I can tell there's going to be a lot of them shifting, maybe all that have the shifter gene. My answers will depend on the same vampire that helps stop the war."

She didn't ask anything after that. Emmett met us at the den door. "So a full baseball game or are we stopping again like Canada?"

I shrugged. "I got to see we're going to need two balls. I'm going to shatter the first one when I swing for a home run."

He grinned. "Sweet. You're-"

Rosalie spoke up. "On my team."

I nodded. "Alice pitches when it happens."

I turned to her. "Sorry love, I know you hate when I break the toys."

She smiled and slugged my arm creating a thunderclap sound. "I get it. It's just good we know to bring more when we go."

I chuckled and put my arm around her before kissing her head and whispering. "You're too good to me."

She leaned up like she wanted a kiss before pushing away and dancing around me. "We'll see."

I sighed and chased her till I got my kiss. The next day we went to school like usual. After school we went home to prepare for tomorrow's game.
