Cha.6

Lucius Malfoy paled further if it were even possible and Fudge looked outrightly fucked as if he knew his name was going to be mentioned. Finally Malfoy regained himself and sneered. "Very well, you say this is about honor then Lord Greengrass? Then I challenge you to an honor duel."

I smiled. "And will you submit willingly to this body's decision if you loose said honor duel? I'd like to hear you say it Lord Malfoy."

He growled before nodding and I stood up as he spoke. "Very well. If you can best me then I'll submit to the courts decision."

I chuckled and followed him down before looking to Dumbledore. "Albus, if you will, a full circle should do. I don't want to injure or maim any onlookers."

Dumbledore smiled and flicked the elder wand, creating a powerful barrier around us and I stood back to back with Lucius before walking the paces and saluting. The moment I saluted a blasting hex came right at me, smiling, I dodged with nimbleness rarely seen and decided to end this quickly.

I did a flashing Lumos and blinded all those watching including Lucius before stunning him with an overpowered Stupefy. He hit the floor just as everyone regained their senses and I smiled before walking to the barrier and raising an eyebrow at Dumbledore.

He lowered the barrier and announced. "The winner is Lord Greengrass. As per the agreement-"

Madam Bones coughed and he stopped before looking ashamed. "Sorry, forgive an old man?"

She nodded and smiled lightly. "The winner is Lord Greengrass. As per their agreement Lord Malfoy Will now submit to Veritaserum and be questioned about the money he stole, and only about the money...for now."

I headed back up into the stands and sat back in my seat. Madam Bones sent someone to revive and feed Malfoy Veritaserum while summoning a chair for him to sit it. It looked very much like one the prisoners bound for Azkaban sit in.

I was inwardly amused while outwardly cold while the process began. When Malfoy was coherent and clearly dosed, Madam Bones asked. "Lord Malfoy, how much money have you stolen from this governing body through the Hogwarts funds?"

He poke in a daze. "Fifty million seven hundred and sixty two thousand four hundred and and twelve galleons, seven sickles and four Knuts."

The crowd was outraged but Madam Bones quieted them down before asking. "Where did the extra money come from?"

Again in a daze he monotoned. "The funds for quidditch supplies asked for by Headmaster Dumbledore each year. I claimed it simply wasn't in the budget while taking it from the access vault for school supplies and upgrades."

There were murmurs of shock and outrage while Madam Bones continued to press. "And if that money, how much have you invested into various means and how?"

He monotoned. "All of it. I invested the majority of it in dark objects bought out of the country and smuggled in to be sold through various buyers while a fifth of it was used for various business ventures including investing in the shops I already owned creating a tax exemption clause to avoid paying taxes each year. Most of it has paid off more than I could've hoped for."

Madam Bones asked. "And how much exactly have you made off the money you've stolen and invested?"

He looked to be trying to resist but failed as he spoke. "Seven billion, eight hundred million sixty four thousand and twenty eight galleons, ten sickles and five Knuts according to my last bank statement but half of the dark objects I've bought haven't been sold so there's a great deal more I could make from it."

Madam Bones asked one last question. "How much of the Malfoy family's current holdings would you say are there because of the money you stole and where exactly are the dark objects you've bought with this money?"

He grunted and tried to fight so much harder now. Finally he bit out. "All but the main family manor and my father's estate in Italy. The dark objects are divided between the Malfoy family vault, my personal vault and in a hidden room under the library fireplace in the Malfoy mansion."

Looked worse now but the questions were over so Madam Bones has them administer the antidote. When she turned to the Wizengamot she spoke clearly. "I believe we're all ready to vote. All in favor I seizing the Malfoy estates except for the one in Italy and the main Malfoy manor?"

It was unanimous as there was no one who didn't vote yes. Even Malfoy's goons Crab and Goyle weren't dumb enough to pass up free money. Now she asked. "All those in favor of seizing the Malfoy Family vaults for the funds stolen and owed as well as all dark objects in both the vaults and the Malfoy family homes?"

It was unanimous once again and this time Malfoy was awake enough to yell out. "No! You cannot!"

It was already too late though as the court's decision had been made. Finally Madam Bones was ready to dole out the real punishment. "Lord Malfoy as you are a member of this court I cannot send you to Azkaban for the crimes of theft no matter how heinous, but seeing as you've used your position and considerable influence to cause so much damage to not only this governing body but to Hogwarts itself, it is within my power to strip you of the position of the treasurer of the school board and remove you from said school board. Whom they appoint next shall be up to them but you shall never again have the chance to ruin so many children's futures."

She slammed the gavel down and continued. "As for your position on this governing body, It is unfortunately not within my power to remove you but I'm sure your actions and your own admissions have made it clear exactly whom you're willing to screw over for profit. You will remain here until the properties have been all successfully seized except the main Malfoy manor and your father's estate in Italy."

"Once the vaults have been turned over and the monies seized you will be lead back to Malfoy manor by a team of Auror's where you will lower the manor's wards and allow them to confiscate all the hidden dark objects you've aquired. If you resist in any way it will be seen as an act of war on the ministry itself and you will be taken Damien with lethal force if necessary."

I nearly had a heart attack at her last words. (Damn this woman is cold and bloodthirsty. Truly a woman after my own heart. If only I felt that same spark as I did with the others...)

A few hours later, all known Malfoy family and personal properties had been seized except the two aforementioned. When the Auror's with the aid of the goblins, seized the vaults, damned if they didn't find more than they bargained for.

Billions was right. Even after all they took from it including all the dark obejects from both vaults, the Malfoy family vault still had over a billion in it and Lucius's personal vault still had half a billion as well.

They were still well off it's just Lucius never wanted to risk his own money on investments. He'd rather risk everyone else's and that truly fucked him. The money was deposited between the hogwarts accounts and divided amongst the twenty eight families.

Hogwarts has received it's fifty odd million in its separate funds while the majority, over twenty billion after all three hundred properties were sold off, was split twenty eight ways with me receiving a cool billion for both footing the bill for this case and fighting the duel to ensure everyone received the money in the first place.

The dark objects however were given to the goblins to dispose of as they see fit. My accounts managers were ecstatic as they'd earned fifty million apiece for their efforts while Ted had received the same. Fifty million galleons wasn't anything to scoff at as an auror only made maybe a million every ten years depending on their seniority and extra training.

It was by far the most profitable venture to date for both my account's managers. I had all of the eight hundred and fifty million sent to my family account and left when Malfoy was sent away with the group of Auror's.

It was no longer important what the outcome of the search and seizure was as if they succeeded in getting the horcrux the goblins would destroy it as they've ran across the same magic in digs in Greece and Egypt and knew how to deal with it.

If however he managed to keep ahold of it as I suspect he will, then he'll most likely go about the same direction as the original story timeline as being caught with more dark objects a second time would give the light side all the leverage they'd need to see him and the Malfoy name stripped to taters and ruined.

As it was he was pegged as a greedy and eccentric pureblood and most were that already while some were even open and above board about it. But if he was caught a second time it would be a show of carelessness and unfit for the courts duties as the light side would push for immediate expulsion from the court until the next Malfoy head was fit for duty or the old head returned to London to reclaim his seat.

As it was I couldn't care less what happened as it didn't matter one iota to me. I sent a letter to Nagnok to use as few coin from my own pocket as possible to buy up and and all ranches and beasts that the estates had sold, including house elves. I sent Fiona with a bottomless pouch full of the second half of my goblin gold and several tons of pure solid gold to be sold if necessary for the funds needed.

She returned in a flash of green fire on my way out of the Ministry with a hastily written letter that showed clear excitement on Nagnok's part. The gold bricks were being immediately processed and turned into coin at the moment and he'd already been ahead of the ball taking a small lean from the bank that was paid in pure gold bricks I'd sent so he managed to buy up half the estates.

The rest were either houses and vacation homes or store fronts. I sent him a small missive with more bricks saying to buy it all. As it turns out goblin gold is just transfigured steel to appear as gold and any tampering will see it turn back into a useless chunk of metal.

The gold they kept for themselves that allowed them to pay out the fake currency, 'much like the American currency and commerce today', is weighed against a certain amount of fake currency and allows them to print more as needed to avoid one person hoarding all the real gold and crashing the banking system.

The same goes for the sickles, silver and the Knut, bronze. So when I was delivering piles of bricks I was in essence making them literally print more fake gold coins and fill my accounts after their cut of course. After he confirmed I'd gotten all but five properties at a fraction of the price, only one point eight billion, I had to ask him how much I had left in my accounts and what the exchange rate was.

As it turns out they literally measure it by weight after printing. Damned if I wasn't surprised I was literally making tons of money. I'd sent ten tons of gold and it'd turned into four billion galleons after they took their cut. Plus the one point eight loss meant I was sitting fine at two point two billion.

The last five estates had been claimed by separate dark families for reasons only they and Malfoy would know. For now though I stepped through the floo and headed back to the Scamander home. There I went to my room and shifted back while contacting my father with the news.

He was ecstatic to learn we were up eight hundred and fifty million in the family vaults and that I'd bought all of Malfoy's old estate but the last five vacation homes. I changed and grabbed a shower before heading to the location for the training camps for our new feeder programs.

Thirty eight sixth years and all of the previous seventh years had shown up. There I trained them over the next three months while using the time turner to meet with Charlie and my sisters over the course of a month.

At the end of the month Newt declared I'd learned all he had to teach while Charlie was taken under his wing. I had to have Daphne and Astoria rejoin Ted and the Tonks family as I was training the new recruits for the family businesses.

They both understood though were very sad on the inside so I used the time turner a few times over the next two months to visit them and even hang out with Nym. Fiona was a bit busy though as I'd had Nagnok invest heavily in Apple, Microsoft and their UK equivalent at the time Acorn, specifically for their microprocessors.

I had a few months before that investment would begin to mature and several years for the others. As for any further investments, I halted them for now and worked on a more serious project, expanding our work force.

I put out feelers in the werewolf community through nearly every contact I could tap thanks to my father's suggestions while I made several thousand gallons of wolfsbane potions and worked on connecting Newt's trunk to my inner realm.

I'd used it as an excuse to take my sisters and Charlie inside and Newt was still using it as an excuse but Charlie wasn't completely blind so I had to work fast. It took two weeks before I finished making a stable connection with all the runes at my disposal and my actively helping it along to Will the connection into place.

A week later is when the first werewolf contacted me willing to sign a contract and take the potion as well as learn all I needed him to. Unsurprisingly it was Remus Lupin. I was very professional about it and had him sign the non disclosure contract as well as the part agreeing to take the wolfsbane potion every week leading up to the full moon.

I felt a call from something inside him I could only assume to be the wolf when I shook hands with him. I put him through the same training regimen as the rest and found he was already adept at Occlumency and fighting. All that left was curse breaking, Herbology and caring for magical creatures.

Almost all of which he was nearly flawless at except the curse breaking which he was put through the ringer for. You may think curse breaking is easier than being an auror, but it's not. It requires time effort and intense studies to understand the ancient curses and how to go about dismantling them safely.

I'd had to teach them all basic Latin, Greek, Egyptian and Sumerian not to mention their written counterparts. Luckily the ability to compartmentalize and retain near perfect knowledge of what you read while you suggested it helped them all as their Occlumency improved.

Soon they retained all I taught them and began to expand their own knowledge with the library of books I provided. I pulled Lupin aside halfway through the last month and told him I had a specific task in mind for him.

He agreed almost immediately as it was fairly straightforward. I wanted him to spread word all the werewolf packs about my recruitment drive and the free wolfsbane potions I provided. I sent him out with the task and told him to avoid Fenrir Greyback and his ilk as I wanted nothing to do with that beast.

He'd agreed though made no promises on who'd show. Hell, he was looking far better than when he'd arrived and he even had plenty of coin in his pocket. I'd given him applications with the address on them and sent him out before packing up the camp and sending the fully trained recruits to the farms, preserves, ranches and even Gringotts.

Nagnok saw to it that they'd receive a decent welcome as six had chosen the curse breaker path. They were all already graduated so their path was clear. I'd left them a gift of a hundred galleons and a copy of all the books involved in curse breaking or about curses that I owned.

I'd done the same with each of the graduates from the program and offered those that had graduated from hogwarts a job as instructors. Three chose to do so and would go with the rest until I knew for sure it was safe at the training camp.

In the meantime I waited two days before applicants started making their ways to the camp. They thought it a joke at first but the killing intent pouring out of me, directed at them all as a wide spread pressure made them change their minds. Even the most skeptical of them could feel that I had drenched my hands in blood and was willing to do so again.

I began taking their applications and explaining them to them all. It was fairly straightforward. It had all the plus sides of the other normal contracts and all they had to do was not reveal their training and I'd provide them with wolfsbane potions every month for free along with a safe place to roam in wolf form without fear of killing anyone.

They could roam and hunt wild deer as a pack or go individually though they risk self harm if they're alone. They would also receive guaranteed job opportunities and if no one else would hire them, I guaranteed I would for above minimum wage provided they learn and pass through the training.

They could leave at any time and so long as they not talk about their training, nothing would happen. But should they talk about it their magic would be stripped away from them. Many had little hope otherwise and signed on the spot. A few left and only a couple railed against my terms.

I told them coldly as I noticed their more prominent wolf like features. "I've no interest in those that do not wish to be here. I'm running a business not a whine fest. You can either sign or leave, there is no third option unless you're risking death to try and take my head."

The larger of the two smirked. "And if I am?"

I grinned. "Then I'll eat wolf tonight."

He took exception to that and attacked. As beastly as he was he didn't even think about using his wand. Instead he tried to overpower me. I promptly cut him in half with my soul swords, straight up the middle.

The other wolves looked at me in fear as I'd just killed without blinking. I looked to the second one who wanted to cause problems and told him coldly. "Tell Fenrir Greyback to stay away from me and my business or I'll hunt him down like the mutt he is and slaughter him and all those who follow him. You've been warned, if I see your face again, I won't give you a chance to flee, you'll join your friend here in the afterlife."

He paled and fled while I waved a hand, sending the dead werewolf to my second lethifold cave where my male lethifold was busy with Newt's female. My female had already given birth to another female unsurprisingly.

I'd had to separate them immediately and now I've three caves receiving deer and rabbits. On a lighter not my house elves have all given birth and are pregnant again. The kids are all tied to me and learning their duties from their parents. I'd taken the time to teach them to read and write as well using the time turner.

The miles of fields were being easily attended to with thirty three house elves working them. I was actually hard pressed to make enough work for them so I sent half the kids to help the three house elves working in the room of requirement.

Back to the present, nearly a hundred werewolves were here waiting to be trained and they each had signed the contracts. I called the three instructors back and we began working in groups of twenty five as we trained them all.

When Lupin arrived, I assigned him as an instructor and called back a few on the ranch to work as instructors until this group was trained. They took to it all with fervor as many of them had dreams and hopes of their own but were ruined by Fenrir and his ilk or an accident.

They truly wanted to improve their lots in life and as such I didn't stop at just having them learn magic, I gave them copies of muggle education textbooks as well as updated history of magic and muggle studies books.

As Lupin saw I was willing to truly help them improve themselves and I was in fact paying, he became more open and happy. No one had mentioned the murder I'd committed but then it wasn't illegal to actually kill a werewolf on your private property when they attacked you first.

As summer was starting to come to a close, Newt contacted me about Nicolas Flamel coming to visit him. He sent Charlie home earlier in the week and was preparing for his world tour when Nicholas finally got back to him.

Apparently he'd been in his alchemy lab working on another new discovery while he letter had waited with Perenelle. His advanced age prevented him from moving any faster than a brisk walk for normal people at his fastest and that tired him out considerably.

As it was I had go to Newt's as Nicolas and Perenelle couldn't make to harsh a strip at once and they'd already come from France. I instructed my previous students to erect the intent based wards and prepare full evacuation should Fenrir and his lot show up.

I assigned ten house elves from my family's estate to help with evacuation then take the books and supplies if Fenrir and his lot showed up. I'd be informed immediately if the wards were attacked so I could deal with the problem if necessary.

When I exited the floo and saw the elder couple I snorted. "Your philosopher stone sucks if this is the results."

Nicolas wasn't offended but Newt was a bit embarrassed. I walked up to him and squinted, testing his reactions to see if he was faking it. Sighing I asked. "May I see your hand?"

Nicolas held his hand up and as fast as lighting I pricked his finger with a needle and pulled the needle away, sticking it on my tongue before spitting it out on the floor. "Shit, unicorn blood. Nasty stuff that."

I cleaned the traces out of my mouth and sighed. "Phoenix tears, Unicorn blood, dragon blood and is that basilisk egg?"

Nicolas's eyes went wide and I snorted. "Don't be surprised, I really was hoping you'd met death and it gave you a stone but damned if it isn't the worst option. So which creature did you sacrifice for the catalyst? No wait, it was a live basilisk eggs, huh, better than a unicorn foal or a Phoenix I guess. That's where you messed up by the way. The basilisk isn't eternal nor is it the strongest of the ingredients needed to tie it all together."

Nicolas finally got out. "You are an alchemist?"

I nodded. "Among a great many other things. Many of which your about to learn of. Newt, you fill him in on what I'm offering. If I'm going to fix their issues I'll need to meditate and find my center. It's going to take two thousand years of lifeforce to reverse the damage they've done to their bodies because of the silly stone."

I walked over to the couch and sat down and closed my eyes, focusing on gathering my lifeforce out of the seal Lucifer put it under. After about two hours I opened my eyes ready to get the show on the road.

I turned to the Flamel's who were watching me with amazement and hope. They both disliked their current state but it was the price of staving off death. I scowled lightly saying. "You should've used Phoenix blood and ashes with dragons blood and basilisk flesh. Heated at a high dragon fire temperature and mixed with unicorn horn, not blood, and you'd have had a decent enough stone. The Phoenix ashes would've staved off the need for a sacrifice."

Nicolas nodded wisely and I sighed. "Have you made the vows to keep my secrets?"

Newt agreed. "They have. I witnessed it personally."

I smiled. "Then come here, I'm going to show you a sight to truly behold. I've a tree that will one day hold the stars themselves up like the great Yggdrasil."

They hop-jogged slowly to me and I took putty on them saying. "No need to fear falling, remember I'm in control inside. Newt, you want to come with?"

He nodded with a smile. "I quite like the view myself besides I want to see these two's expression when all their dreams come true."

I chuckled and took us all into my inner world. There I showed the Flamel's a sight of true beauty, my world tree. They were both steely shocked by it though only a little disturbed by standing on air.

I floated in front of them saying. "This next part is going to suck for both of you. The philosopher's stone you have is deeply flawed and is essentially a built up poison in your system. I'll need to purge it out of your bodies while I reverse the damage it's done so it's going to and I repeat, suck."

A dagger appeared in my hand and with a swipe, I slit both their throats before they could react. I grabbed them both as my eyes lit up green and I forced lifeforce into them while pushing what I could see as a cancerous blackened goo out of their bones and blood. It took a great deal of time to ensure they didn't die in the process and once the last of it was out, I sealed their throats and veins with a overpowered epsilon's and a healing drought.

The front of their clothes was blackened by the goo now but I ignored it as I began reversing their age with tons of lifeforce. Slowly the color returned to their skin and hair until they both were no longer an elder couple but as young and healthy as Newt seemed to be.

When I finished Nicolas smiled and looked at his wife with tears in his eyes. He turned back to me. "Thank you. It's been so long since I've felt this good."

I nodded. "Now to make you eternally immortal."

I raised a hand and two golden apples on a branch came down. I told them. "Pluck them and eat them and you'll stop aging and not die until after I really do. As a got of rebirth and reincarnation, I'm notoriously hard to kill so you two should have eons together."

They didn't hesitate and ate the apples together. Almost immediately they shivered as youth and vigor overwhelmed their systems while they became eternally still age wise.

I smiled and took them to my inner realm next with Newt trailing behind with a smile. I gestured to them and called Fiona. She flew up and I told them. "Feed her the cores. I don't want world seeds to get out and cause chaos. It works shake the foundations of the world of mortals found proof of divinity. Wars would be waged and billions would die."

They did so readily with my warnings in mind then I took Nicholas to my alchemy lab. I'd had to relearn it all but it wasn't really that hard once I got back in the saddle.

I showed him my philosopher's stones and warned him. "These like yours are flawed. They do give eternal life and can do a lot more than that or you could possibly dream up but they require human lives in exchange. They're more like miracle stones that cost thousands of mortal lives per use so do be careful not to activate them. You can study them all you wish and any alchemy material in here you find interesting but you're not to take it to the outside world. "

Nicolas nodded in understanding. "About our old lives, do we simply pass away by the public standards?"

I chuckled. "You can do as you wish that's why I collected hairs from each of you, polyjuice potion. With it you can fool whomever you must for a time. As for what I have planned for you, you can retire and live here in this world full time after 1992 if you choose to. I've a special mission for you and one I'm curios to find the results of. For now just use the excuse that you're not interested in the public affairs any longer."

I gave them the mission to let Dumbledore borrow their philosopher stone and to destroy it when he suggests the same. Then they can officially retire from the public eye as they 'die'.

They agreed easily as they were tired of the wizarding world and it's problems. They'd battled people like Grindelwald and Voldemort long before Albus had been born and prevented the worst people throughout history from taking over like each of them had tried.

I gave them the wrist bands they could hide with a cloaking charm and we returned to Newt's living room. When they realized it wasn't a dream, Nicolas went to bow to me and I smiled stopping him with a hand to his cheek. "I've children far older than you so don't bow to me. I'm just one man in the end. I've a unique history but at my very core I started out mortal just like both of you. I may be a god but I'm just as flawed as the next man."

They both seemed to disagree but went with it. At that moment my wards went off indicating an attack. Growling I made my swords appear and told them. "I'll have to cut this meeting short, I've wolves to skin."

Newt asked. "Need any help?"

I shook my head and entered the floo heading to my farm house that was under attack. When I arrived it was chaos as scared werewolves were being evacuated by my elves left and right and my former students were holding the wards as best they could until I waved them off.

The wards failed as I sent everyone inside the farm house. I made a barrier around the farmhouse and stood outside as Lupin surprised me by standing beside me. I chuckled as the wolf pack descended with Fenrir Greyback at the lead. "Go inside Lupin. I've no need for help, I intend to end Greyback and his followers here and now and this is no time for revenge. Do as I say."

He looked at me and I applied killing intent before he sighed. "Fine but if you need help-"

I snorted. "Then It'll be because I died laughing."

He rolled his eyes at me and I sighed. "Just watch from inside the barrier. You'll understand why I don't fear even Voldemort."

He went wide eyed but followed my orders. I turned my attention back to Fenrir and his idiot follower who I made a certain promise to. I keep my promises as I drew my swords they fired stunners but I deflected them with my blades as I sliced through them quicker then a hot knife through butter.

They screamed and died in horror and I made a point of slicing the arms and legs off the idiot as he died from my blades effects. All of them died until it was just me and Fenrir. I was covered in werewolf blood and smiling as I'd enjoyed the ex period letting loose a bit.

I waved a hand, summoning a throne of skulls and bones as I transfigured the corpses of the dead werewolves into my throne. I sat down and told the stunned werewolf. "You've gained my attention now Mr.Greyback. I warned you away and made a point to avoid notifying your people of my plans and despite all that you've come running like prey into the wolf's den."

He regained his voice finally before growling. "They don't matter. I can always make more."

I nodded. "Indeed, they don't matter, they're dead after all and the dead don't have an opinion, after all, they were prey."

He scowled at me. "Don't talk like you're a werewolf or that you understand! You're nothing but a meat bag, prey."

I chuckled and sat forwards unleashing a fraction of my killing intent and bloodthirst on him. He squirmed and I increased it to the point where his knees gave way. When he was on his knees I asked coldly. "Out of the both of us, whose predator and whom is prey?"

I increased the pressure and felt my eyes change, something I hadn't experienced in a very long time. Claws peaked out of my nail beds slowly until they replaced my regular nails. My teeth changed as I increased the pressure on the foolish werewolf.

He didn't know what it truly meant to be a werewolf, none of them did. My face shifted and I moved with strength and speed contradicting my frail human physique. I grabbed Fenrir by the throat, hauling him off his knees and above my head. Moved and crushed his throat, swinging my blade in my other hand as I cut him in half.

His blood and viscera scattered around me as I tossed it aside and turned to face a very pale Lupin with an innocent smile. My eyes had yet to change back as I was feeling the need for a run I hadn't experienced in a very long time.

I pushed it down as I put away my swords and walked passed Lupin. "Call the ministry to here and tell them you and the rest of the wolves cut down Greyback and his subordinates. Those out there effected by the waste of breath deserve to know their nightmare is finally over."

Lupin asked shakily. "What are you?"

I smirked. "Lupus primus regenerati."

(The first wolf reborn.)

I walked past the recruits who were shivering in fear from my presence and headed upstairs for a shower. When I came down there was a commotion as the Auror's were causing a disturbance. One of them was clearly Corban Yaxley, a death eater.

The moment the werewolves sensed I'd entered the room, they went silent and backed away from the Auror's. I spoke coldly as I was shown by the parting bodies. "What seems to be the problem here Auror's?"

Yaxley didn't get a chance to answer as Mad Eye Moody himself spoke up while making himself known as the lead auror here. "We were trying to get the story straight for what happened here this evening. There seems to have been a slaughter out front your house Greengrass."

I nodded. "Very well then."

I gave the werewolves a look and said. "Lupin, stand out and tell the man what happened so they can all clean the mess up and you can get back to training. The goblins aren't going to be pleased if their curse breakers aren't fully trained in time."

Remus stood out with a smile and started to tell moody what happened when I heard Yaxley mutter. "Bloody halfbreeds."

The werewolves all clearly heard it as well from the growls but none of them were quicker than me in sending a powerful silent and wandless knock back jinx at the auror in question. Only Moody reacted in time and that was only to dodge as Yaxley was hit and blasted into the back wall hard enough to shake the house and break both his legs.

He was in no condition to fight back as the wolves all drew their wands ready for a fight. Moody stood up spinning around while making sure he wasn't next. The other Auror's, Shacklebolt and Dawlish, were protecting their own asses while I ordered loudly. "ENOUGH!"

More softly after my point was across I told them. "Put your wands away. As a matter of fact if you're name is not Lupin then go outside away from the battlefield and cool off."

A few wanted to argue I could tell but with a look they backed off and cleared out. When Moody was no longer surrounded and outnumbered severely, he calmed down considerably though looked mightily nervous.

He told Dawlish. "Get Yaxley to Saint Mungo's immediately to get him looked and and tell him when he wakes up that I'll be reporting his insubordination to Madam Bones personally. Calling a room full of werewolves halfbreeds and putting us all in danger of a fight to the death, he'll be lucky to end up with a demotion or Amelia can have my resignation! If he can't control his own prejudices then he doesn't belong as an auror."

Dawlish asked. "What about the attack? They injured one of our own!"

Moody snarled. "And I suppose you want to drag them all before the Wizengamot in chains just to ask who did it? Hmm? Bloody idiot, get him out of my sight or you'll join him."

Moody turned back to me as Dawlish quickly led a floating, moaning Yaxley out of the room. Once they were gone, Moody said. "Mr.Greengrass, I thank you for helping us handle the situation without casualties which I suppose was the point."

I gave him a non answer. "Whatever do you mean? Oh sending them all away, think nothing of it. They're just on edge from going through a battle, I'm sure you with your clear hard won victory patches can understand."

He chuckled and the room seemed to loose the last of it's tension. He nodded slightly but wasn't buying it as his magical eye clearly saw where and who cast the spell while he was clearly still shocked by the age of the castor.

He sat down, drawing his attention to Lupin now as he changed his approach. "So, Remus, what exactly happened here tonight?"

Remus gave me a questioning look and saw my steely gaze before telling Mad Eye. "Everyone was training as the jobs required by the Greengrass family require so that we may have a chance at a better position and employ when Fenrir Greyback's men showed up and started attacking the wards. We fought back, though those ill equipped and trained to fled with young master Greengrass's orders in case they overpowered us there'd be less casualties and a higher chance to flee fro the rest of us."

He grabbed a glass of water before continuing even more smoothly now. "When the wards completely failed we'd already outnumbered them but Greyback refused to surrender so he and his cohorts were killed with a volley of cutting curses. I crushed Greyback's throat personally as I had no wish to hear the dying words of the lunatic that turned me into a werewolf."

Shacklebolt asked. "What training were you doing might I ask?"

I snorted. "You may not. Though you can read an application if your interested in a transfer. We pay better for the experienced and pre-trained wizards. You never know, you might find the excitement in your job a little to much, well, much. We're running a feeder program of sorts for my family's businesses and Gringotts. They've signed an exclusive contract with us to only hire from our training program for curse breakers. That my wizard catching friends is all you need to know unless you sign up yourself."

Moody grumbled. "That's saying a lot without saying anything at all. Clearly a politician in the making."

I rolled my eyes and slid them the forms to sign. "For experienced trainers we're willing to pay a premium and battle hardened as you both are, you might find teaching a bunch of new recruits for three months relaxing. You can have it both ways as we don't forbid you from having other jobs. I've nearly fifty farms, ranches and preserves I need manned as well as the curse breakers to be trained for Gringotts so if you're interested by all means sign on the dotted line but do be sure to look it over as it is a magically binding contract."

Mad eye looked his over before asking. "What does the werewolf one require?"

I slid him another copy and he looked it over before snorting. "No wonder you're recruiting by the dozens. The only differences in the contracts is to accommodate the full moon issue and that's all free."

I nodded. "I intend to add vampires and perhaps even giants and trolls to the training program as basic guards if nothing else. Gringotts does use troll guards so it'll be interesting to see if I can train them to beat their standards. Accommodations will be the same for them should I find it possible to succeed. If not then I'll probably build them each preserves to be taken care of as well."

Mad Eye nodded before asking. "Can I keep these?"

I nodded. "By all means and should you decide to sign it I'll have a special gift prepared with your disabilities in mind. I've been tinkering with limb regeneration potions and droughts for aches and pains caused by battle. I'm sure you'll find it all very interesting and by far more relaxing. Although I can't do anything about the eye for now though."

He grunted. "If you can do as advertised I just might sign it when I retire."

I nodded. "Very well. As for the mess outside, if you don't intend to clean it up then I've an acromantula farm I can ship it all to. Nasty business but it makes it cheaper on feeding them I suppose."

He grunted. "I see no reason as to make natures creatures go hungry."

He turned to Lupin while his magical eye never left my face. "You've done a great service to the ministry by getting rid of Greyback. If the circumstances were any different I'd see you got the order of Merlin personally."

Lupin shrugged it off as the two expert Auror's left. While they walked out I heard Kingsley whisper. "You don't believe them do you?"

Moody snorted. "About the attack and the dead werewolves? Not a word. My money's on the boy having done it all. He's dangerous and powerful. It was him who sent Yaxley flying and without a wand or word to boot! As for the contracts, he meant every word of it as far as I can tell."

I cursed inwardly as I'd apparently given something away. Clearly my occlumency slipped somewhere and gave away something. Sighing I told Lupin. "Get back to training. I'll send for the goblins to fix the wards immediately. I've some matters to take care of as soon I'll be off to school once more so you and the other instructors had better buckle down. I want the quality of those trained here to only rise from here."

He agreed and I sent Fiona to Nagnok to have him send a team to fix the wards. I'd a month till hogwarts started so it was time to see an old friend.
