Chapter 7

Li Yuan and Qin Yin travelled for a week without stopping. Their pace was quite fast as they were about to reach the borders of the Tang Empire. Li Yuan's soul Cultivation improved to the 12th Level while his Body and Qi didn't improve that all as he focused all of his attention on cultivating his soul.

The reason for that is because his Body needs an Element Essence in order to advance. For Qi Cultivation, Li Yuan waited because he wanted to make the Body Morphing Elixir, a Tier 4 Elixir which will make his Dantain and Meridians bigger. This Elixir recipe was created by him and there are two types of this Elixir. Tier 4 and Tier 5.

The Tier 4 variant will increase his Dantain and Meridians sizes by 50% while the Tier 5 Variant will increase their sizes by one fold. But there is a condition to use them. Both must be used in the Qi Gathering Realm to receive the desired effect.

Li Yuan planned to use the Tier 5 Variant before he achieves the 2nd Stage of Qi Gathering Realm. And when he reaches the Peak of Qi Gathering Realm, he will use the Tier 5 Variant. This will allow his body to benefit from these two elixirs without wasting a drop from the elixirs.

In the other hand, Qin Yin was extremely happy for a few as she finally reached Tier 4 in Alchemy. She made a Tier 4 Pill to show off which in turn made Li Yuan make a Tier 4 pill with better quality than her. This silenced her and made her grumpily curse him during the journey.

Li Yuan was quite bored so he decided to do something interesting.

"Qin Yin, do you have these ingredients?" Li Yuan spoke of a few ingredients which caused Qin Yin to raise her eyebrows. She inspected her storage ring and found that she has them.

"What are you going to do with them?" Asked Qin Yin. She was quite interested in seeing what Li Yuan will make.

Li Yuan's eyes shone after knowing that Qin Yin has these ingredients. So, he went to a tree and used his knives to cut it carefully.

Qin Yin saw the tree transform into a jar which made her puzzled. Then, she saw Li Yuan put the herbs into the jar followed by him chanting a spell.

The jar started shaking violently followed weird sounds come from it. Li Yuan was performing the hand seals continuously without stopping.

This continued for half an hour before the jar stopped shaking. Then, Li Yuan casted a freezing spell on the jar and waited for a few minutes before opening the jar.

Qin Yin's nose twitched slightly after smelling the aromatic smell that came from the jar. She came closer to Li Yuan and saw that he made wine!

What the fuck? Could wine be made like this?! And he asked for the herbs just to make wine?

"Wine... You stopped and did all of this just to make wine?" Qin Yin flared after seeing that her herbs were wasted on making wine.

Li Yuan rolled his eyes and used his knives to make a small cup from the tree. Then, he filled the cup with wine and gave it to Qin Yin.

"Try it," said Li Yuan. Qin Yin angrily took the cup and drank it only for her eyes to widen. It was delicious! It is the most delicious wine she ever tasted. Also, it seems that her soul is getting nourished by the wine and she could achieve the 27th Level if she drank more of this wine.

She looked at Li Yuan who stared drinking from the jar.

"Hey! I gave you the ingredients so half of it should belong to me!" Said Qin Yin.

"Fair enough," said Li Yuan as he filled her cup. Qin Yin drank the wine without any of her prior elegance which made Li Yuan chuckle a little.

After the 4th cup, Qin Yin's eyes shone with even brighter light as she achieved the 27th level.

"You never cease to surprise me!" Said Qin Yin as she raised her cup so Li Yuan fills it again.

The two drank all of the wine and didn't waste a drop of it. Qin Yin licked her lips after the last cup and said: " You should make wines instead of pills!".

Li Yuan whose soul now reached the 14th Level rolled his eyes and said: "You will cry if I stop teaching you alchemy".

"Well, if you continue to give me wine like this l will not mind it" joked Qin Yin.

Li Yuan shook his head at her words and said "Let's cross the borders. We wasted enough time drinking wine". Qin Yin shrugged her shoulders at Li Yuan lack of sense of humour and followed him to cross the border. The Lin Empire and the Tang Empire shared borders with each other.

When Li Yuan and Qin Yin reached the borders, they were welcomed by the sight of dried up corpses scattered across a large area.

Qin Yin's face became serious as she looked at the corpses and wanted to examine them but was stopped by Li Yuan.

Li Yuan threw a knife toward one of the corpses and pierced its head. He recalled the knife and saw green blood on the knife which confirmed his guess.

"Qin Yin, burn the corpses. They are killed by a Blood Devouring Wasp and are filled with the wasp's eggs." Said Li Yuan.

Qin Yin's face changed greatly after hearing his words. She nodded and without hesitation began burning the corpses. Suddenly, and without any warning. Li Yuan appeared beside her and pulled her away.

Bang!

An explosion occurred in the place Qin Yin was standing on.

Qin Yin was scared as she saw an extremely large Wasp stabbing the ground with its stinger.

"The Blood Devouring Wasp specialise in hiding its presence and sneakily attacks his prey. The most common sneak attack is from above" said Li Yuan as the 10 knives floated above of him. He felt something was wrong and used Heaven's Eyes Technique. This is a technique that was created by him which make his eyes able to perceive everything. Still, he couldn't use it to its full limits without remodelling his eyes.

He saw that the wasp was about to strike Qin Yin and acted instantly by performing the Three Inch Step Technique which was his best movement technique he has and appeared beside her. Then, he released his Void Domain in order to slow and change the path of the wasp.

It only took Li Yuan less than 30 seconds to do all of this. But, he nearly used half of his Qi in it.

A blood Mist surrounded the Blood Devouring Wasp and caused it to disappear.

"We are marked by the Blood Devouring Wasp. But, it will only attack once we lower our guard" said Li Yuan.

The Blood Devouring Wasp is quite weak in a direct flight and could be killed easily by an Early Stages Qi Sea Realm Cultivator. But, the wasp specialises in sneak attacks which can kill a Peak Stage Qi Sea Realm Cultivator if he wasn't alert.

"Qin Yin, attack in the direction I speak of" Said Li Yuan. Qin Yin nodded and spread her spiritual sense while taking out a sabre from her storage ring.

"Southwest!"

Qin Yin slashed with her sabre and released an extremely terrifying sharp Sabre Qi that moved in astonishing speed.

A sharp tearing sound as the Sabre Qi cut the Blood Devouring Wasp's body into two halves. Qin Yin looked weirdly at Li Yuan as he was easily able to determine the Wasp location despite concealing itself from her spiritual sense. If she faced the Blood Devouring Wasp alone, she will suffer greatly to kill it. But, with Li Yuan, it only took one minute to kill it.

Li Yuan walked to the wasp's corpse and looked at its stinger. It can be used to increase the Tier of his Knives to Tier 3. So, told Qin Yin to extract the stringer from the Wasp. Qin Yin nodded and pulled out the stinger before beginning to burn the corpses to destroy the Wasp's eggs.

After that, they crossed the border and entered the Lin Empire. Before heading to the Profound Heart Sect, Li Yuan wanted to level up his knives. So, they headed to the nearest big city to them. When they reached the city, Li Yuan bought a small forging furnace and a few things in order to start the process of upgrading his knives.

He started the process with Qin Yin watching him from the side. Of course, she was shocked by the fact that Li Yuan knows how to forge weapons. She saw him throw the knives in the furnace. The knives melted quickly and Li Yuan started to throw many things inside the furnace followed by him preforming multiple hand seals. What Li Yuan was doing was removing all the impurities in the melted knives and the materials so the Stinger could merge into them without any issues.

After expelling the impurities from them, Li Yuan finally put the Stinger and asked Qin Yin to assist him by using her Soul Energy to increase the temperature of the fire three folds. Qin Yin was quick and did as she was told which satisfied Li Yuan.

He didn't stop and performed another set of hand seals which caused the liquid inside the furnace to separate into five portions which each slowly transformed into Bright Red Knives.

Li Yuan nodded in satisfaction after seeing the five red knives. He sacrificed 10 Tier 1 Knives to make 5 Tier 3 Knives. This will shock any forging master and will make them ask him to teach them.

Qin Yin's lips twitched after seeing the five knives and said: " Is there anything you can't do?!". He is a Tier 4 Alchemist, a Tier 3 Forging Master and a genius in both Soul and Qi cultivation. Can he be less heaven-defying?!

Li Yuan ignored her and sharpened the knives with the best method, not like the crude method he used before.

Shortly, five Tier 3 Knives danced in the air around him. Due to being a Tier 3 Weapons and the use of the wasp's stinger to make them. The knives had a special ability to cause profuse bleeding that couldn't be stopped easily once a person is wounded by them.

After finishing from the knives, it was the time for Li Yuan to make a Storage Ring for him. He has already bought the materials required to make it.

Quickly, he made a Storage Ring which he wore. Then, He put the furnace in the ring before finally deciding to leave the city. But, before they could leave the city. Li Yuan got a pleasant surprise as he saw a necklace in one of the stores. What caught his attention was the Blue Diamond on the necklace which is the Pure Yin Jewel. With this jewel, he can transform it into a Water Element Essence with the right materials! And with, he could train his body to the 2nd Level of the Chaotic Dragon Body.

"Wow!" Qin Yin saw how beautiful this necklace was and couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

"Qin Yin, buy this necklace right now!" Said Li Yuan with impatience. Qin Yin was surprised by Li Yuan's impatience. He has always been a collected person who rarely shows any sign of emotions. So, he must have sensed something important about this necklace.

Qin Yin nodded and entered the store with Li Yuan to buy the necklace.

The shop owner smiled when he saw the two and said: " How can I help you?".

"Give me that necklace with the blue diamond," said Li Yuan.

"The price of this necklace is 2000 Gold Coins or 100 Spirit Stones. The Price is final!" Said the shop owner.

Li Yuan raised his eyebrows and stared at the shop owner for a few seconds. The Necklace is quite expensive. Before Qin Yin could buy the necklace, he stopped her and said: " Old Man, how about a trade?".

The shop owner smiled and said " Sure! But is must be of equal value".

Li Yuan smiled and said "What if I cure your impotence? Do you think it worth giving the necklace to me?".

The shop owner was in his mid-50s and his cultivation base was at the Peak of Qi Gathering Realm. And Li Yuan noticed many things from just looking at him.

His Yang Qi was imbalanced and his kidneys also had some problems. It mostly caused by being sexually active. And it was obvious that he didn't have self control in this aspect of his life which in turn caused this situation.

The Shop owner was shocked by Li Yuan knowing about his embarrassing problem. He went to a few physicians and they told them that it because of his unhealthy habits. The shop owner tried many things to heal his importance but all ended up with failure.

Qin Yin's face turned red and said: " You two discuss this matter without me!". She quickly left the store and let the two talks about this matter privately.

"You can cure my impotence?!" Asked the shop owner with hope in his eyes.

"Yes. In the condition, you give me the necklace for free!" Said Li Yuan. When there is a chance for him not to spend money, he will take it without hesitation.

"Of course, I will not take the necklace until you become satisfied with the result," said Li Yuan.

"If you heal my impotence you can have anything in the shop for free! You have my word!" Said the shop owner with excitement. Despite Li Yuan being young, he was able to notice his problem with a single look. This means that he has some abilities to cure his problem.

Li Yuan nodded and said, "I have a Technique that will rejuvenate you and make you perform like a man in his 20s". He studied all types of cultivation techniques from dual cultivation techniques to devilish techniques. And he knows a basic Yang Qi strengthening technique that will cure the owner's problem.

He gave the technique for the owner and when he tried it. He became shocked and ecstatic. He noticed the improvements right away and understood that this technique is his salvation. Actually, it will make him stronger than his younger self!

Tears came out of the owner's eyes and said: "Take everything you want!".

Li Yuan nodded and took the necklace. Then, he looked around to see if there anything useful to him. He didn't find something that piqued his interest and left the store while the owner was bowing to him.

"You didn't tell me that you were also a physician!" Said Qin Yin. Li Yuan put the necklace in his storage ring and said " I can be anything if I want".

Qin Yin clicked her tongue and said "Show off!". Li Yuan ignored her and went to gather the materials needed for turning the Pure Yin Jewel into a Water Essence. Sadly, he didn't find any of them in the city.

These materials are Condensed Yin Powder, the Heart's Blood of a Yin Type Tier 3 Beast, and a drop of Purifying Soul Water.

The first two were quite easy to get. But, for the third material, it is quite tricky to get. Thankfully, Li Yuan can produce a weaker version of the Purifying Soul Water which will only require it to increase the amount to one litre.

Also, he searched for the Ingredients to make the Tier 4 Body Morphing Elixir. Thankfully, the Alchemist Association in the city had the ingredients he needed.

"Good!" Li Yuan bought the ingredients and entered one of the Alchemy Rooms in the association. He didn't use the cauldron that was provided by the association as Qin Yin's cauldron is way better than it. Of course, Qin Yin happily gave the cauldron to Li Yuan as she wanted to see what he will make now.

Since the Elixir is quite important for Li Yuan, he focused all of his attention on making the Elixir with a purity of 100%. Qin Yin's eyes shone as she saw the focused Li Yuan making the elixir with precise control.

"He is quite good looking when he is like this!" Thought Qin Yin as her eyes were on Li Yuan's serious face and forget about the Elixir.
