"I am a foolish Ghost who fell in love with a mortal woman."

"Can you imagine that?" Said the Old Ghost.

"This is the place I met her. She was being chased by a group of bandits after they attacked her village. She was quite young and beautiful at that time which made her a target for those bandits. While she was escaping from them, she stumbled upon my resting place and awakened me."

"I was enraged at that time because a few mortals dared to wake me up. And killed all the bandits. I was about to kill her but when I focused on her, I was stunned by how pure her soul was! She kneeled in front of me and begged that I save her village from the bandits. To this day, I don't know why I agreed to help her!"

"I went with her to the village and saved the remaining people from the bandits. Then, I stayed in the village while watching over her. The beauty of her soul and how pure it was made me unable to leave her."

"Each day, I only thoughts of her and nothing else. I wanted what is the reason that makes her soul this pure."

"Day after day, I was only staring at her. I, an old Ghost couldn't help but want her to stay beside me. I felt that the world became more colourful with her smiling and laughing with me."

"But, good times don't last for too long. She is a mortal and she started to age. From the young girl that an I saved to a beautiful mature woman. In my eyes, she was the most beautiful thing that my eyes lied upon."

"I left the village and searched for a good cultivation technique. I spent five years and when I came back, I found that she got married."

"I felt something in me shatter when I saw her hugging her husband. I wanted to kill that man so badly and tear his soul apart. Yet, I couldn't bring myself to do so because of how happy she was with him. That day, I understood my feeling. I fell in love with her."

"I was presented with two choices. Leave and forget about her or stay in the village and watch her spend her life with another man. What do you think my decision was?" Asked the Old Ghost.

"You stayed in the village." Said Li Yuan. The Old Ghost's body trembled and said "Yes! I made the stupidest decision in my entire life! I stayed in the village and gave her the cultivation technique so she can live longer."

"That woman didn't have a good talent for cultivation and even with the cultivation technique I gave to her, she couldn't achieve the Qi Gathering Realm. But, her husband was talented and cultivated on this technique. He reached the Qi Gathering Realm and left the village to join one of the sects. He promised that he will come back and take her with him. But, he didn't come back!"

"Years passed and she continued to grow older and her husband still didn't come back. I couldn't watch this anymore and went to search for that man. He might have died or something unexpected happened which prevented him from returning."

"After years of searching, I finally found him. He embracing another woman and showing a satisfied face. I was enraged by it and confronted him about her. Do you believe that he actually forget about her?! When I heard his answer, I snapped. I completely and thoroughly razed that man' sect to the ground. Then, grabbed his soul and slowly tortured it until I made him remember her. After that, I destroyed his soul and returned back to the village."

"By the time I came back to the village, she was already an old woman who is about to die. She asked me about him and I didn't know how to answer her. That day, I lied to her for the first time. I told her that her husband was alive and he is in a far place which couldn't allow him to return easily.

"I still remember that sad smile on her face to this day. I didn't want her to die so I offered her to prolong her life. Yet, she refused and said she told me that this is how is a mortal's life and she didn't want to go against it."

"I tried multiple times but all ended up in failure. And in the end, I saw her die in front of me." Said the Old Ghost.

Li Yuan sighed and didn't say anything. The two continued to drink wine until they emptied the jar. Li Yuan stood up and bowed lightly to the Old Ghost.

"I hope we meet again, Old Ghost." Said Li Yuan.

The Old Ghost looked at Li Yuan and said "Young man, this old ghost can't repay you for this wine. Please, take this with you."

A bead came out of his body and flew to Li Yuan.

Li Yuan grabbed the bead and looked at it.

"Are you sure about it? Your live span will dramatically decrease because you gave this to me." Asked Li Yaun.

The Old Ghost smiled sadly and said "I am cursed with a long life. You will be doing a favour to me by taking it."

Li Yuan looked at the Old Ghost and sighed. He put the bead in his storage ring and bowed to the Old Ghost before leaving.

The Old Ghost turned his head and looked at the gave.

"I will meet you soon."

Li Yuan walked toward the cave. The bead that the Old Ghost gave to him contains huge amounts of concentrated Ghost Qi from Old Ghost. You have to know that the Old Ghost is at the Peak of Saint Realm and this Ghost Qi that he gifted to Li Yuan contained half of his cultivation.

Li Yuan can use his Cultivation Technique to absorb the Ghost Qi in it to push his cultivation to the Sage Realm as it was 10 times better than a Tier 6 Qi Gathering Formation.

He decided to return to the cave and refine the Bead.

Quickly, he returned to the cave and saw Qin Yin cultivating in the Qi Gathering Formation. Since he has the bead, he will not disturb her cultivation.

He sat down and swallowed the Bead and started refining it. But, his Bloodline reacted violently to the Bead that was filled with Ghost Qi.

Li Yuan lost control over his body and couldn't control it at all. He could only watch hopelessly his Bloodline absorb the Ghost Qi at a terrifying speed.

"No! I need that Bead!" Yelled Li Yuan in anger at his bloodline. Sadly, the Bloodline continued to devour the Bead.

What will take him about 4 months to refine only took his bloodline a few hours to completely devour it! Then, his body shone with silver light as the 3rd Tail was formed. It radiated a strong Ghost Qi.

Booming sounds came out of his body as qualitative improvement occurred to his soul and body. His Soul which was at the Peak of the 41st Level improved and reached the 43rd Level. His Body which has comparable strength to a 2nd Stage Sage Realm became stronger and reached the 5th Stage of Sage Realm.

A look of horror appeared on Li Yuan's face as his Qi Cultivation might decline. But, it didn't! It improved from the peak of the 4th Stage to the Peak of the 5th Stage of Qi Sea Realm.

Li Yuan wasn't happy by it because he should have reached the Sage Realm with this bead. But, because of this damned bloodline, he only reached the Peak of the 5th Stage.

But, he got a pleasant surprise from his bloodline. His Qi flow improved even further and the speed that he can form the Pure Silver Qi doubled.

"I see! The more I awaken my bloodline and form more tails, the faster my cultivation will be!" Said Li Yuan with a look of understanding. His body has three different types of Qi in it. Yin Qi, Life Force( which could be considered as a type of Qi) and the Ghost Qi.

Li Yuan maintained the Fox Transformation and used his tails. A wave of Yin Qi, Ghost Qi and Life Force gushed out of his body at the same time which made him ecstatic.

"My bloodline can accept any multiple types of Qi and improve further after absorbing them. My goodness. This bloodline is way easier to awaken than what I thought it will be!" Said Li Yuan.
