Preparing

Jason had hunted so many goblins that his armor and weapons changed and he leveled up a few more times.

His armor now looked like an adventurer's armor. It was a solid iron armor with an iron helmet that had bars on the face. If you looked at it from far away you couldn't see his face but instead an eerie red glow.

The stats were fine but for some reason, after getting the armor all of the goblins in his vicinity started to run as fast as they could as if they were scared of Jason. Well, it was fine Jason had spent the rest of the day killing goblins and was level 25 now.

His armor now suited his stats and he was able to fight any unlucky goblins well.

Jason was a bit nervous as it was starting to get dark and he didn't want to be stuck outside in the forest where monsters came out. As he was walking back he thought about how he would continue to invest his stat points.

So far he could train the physical stats here at the training center, so he would hold off pouring stats it into them unless he was desperate. Boops kept emphasizing charm/charisma and Jason had to agree with him, charm was an important stat for the future.

Yeah, that was it, Jason would start investing his stats in charm, intelligence, and wisdom. He would keep on training his strength, stamina, and agility in the training centers here.

But more importantly, he wasn't getting any more points! It seems that his moment of fame had dissipated when everyone started to focus on WOW.

Basically Jason had to do something impressive again in front of a ton of people. The only thing he could think of that was coming up was the agility trial and he was not ready for that. Just as he was pondering how he could save his empty wallet

[Perseus and Arjuna have reached level 15! +100 points]

Ah yes, that's right, he could get points on the actions his subordinates did. Now it was a matter of waiting for the twins to do their work.

He walked back to the path that he had cut with his skills and leisurely walked through it. Jason could see everything, from the cut-up bushes to the trees that had large cut marks in them, it looked like a giant monster had wandered into the forest. Thank goodness it was just Jason's trail, right?

Jason had already gotten out of the first and reached a small green plain that had one single hill in the middle. It was just a small clearing in the huge forest of the training center that Jason had ran past without noticing, but it really did look good in the afternoon sun.

The green plain just lay there in calm stillness with small colors spread around the place. Jason could see purple, blue, and sometimes even red flowers all around the plain.

Jason took care to walk carefully through the field without damaging the flowers. The grass was up to his ankles and since the hill was in front of him and also on the way to the training grounds, he decided to be a little adventurous and hike up it.

Surprisingly it was really easy, every step he took felt like there was a trampoline under him and he could spring into the air whenever he wanted. Every step that he took felt so easy and natural to him and even though he was walking on a slope, he was breathing as hard as a baby was when it was sleeping.

In no time he got to the very top where a single tree was planted on top. With nowhere to go Jason climbed the tree to the very top.

As he got to the top a fresh gust of wind blew past him as if it was greeting him. The gust of wind continued down to the field and gently passed through, making all of the grass bend and sway revealing all of the flowers underneath in all of their glory. The grass was actually hiding an entire patch of budding flowers underneath itself.

Jason's gaze was transfixed on what he was watching, but as another gust of wind blew past his ear he looked to his left like he could feel something pointing towards another direction, he saw the sea, its vast size and its deep blue.

With the combination of the afternoon sun, the rays of the sun reflected on the water making it looked like the ocean was full of stars.

Right in the middle of Jason's view of the field of flowers and the sea, was the city. Even from here, Jason could see the tall walls and the patrolmen on top. He could even see a bit into the city and its people. The large crowds, loud marketplaces, the humans that looked like small miniature figures.

Jason did not say a word, nor did Boops both of them enjoyed the picture for as long as they could.

But then the sun started to dip down, the breeze started to dissipate along with the flowers with the field. The stars in the sea started to dim out one by one. All that was left was the setting sun on the city, it was beautiful in its own right, but Jason felt this sense of melancholy like he lost something important to him as he gazed at the setting sun.

As if it was a parting gift one last breeze picked up, it was cold and strong this time, and it was always in one direction. It reminded Jason of the push his younger brother gave when he tried to bring him home when it was getting dark. The push was always a bit forceful just like the cold, and the wind right now, but at the same time loving and stubborn.

Jason picked himself up and climbed down the tree, this time with a sight he wouldn't forget.
