Water

Jason was falling straight toward the waterfall, his sword wasn't able to completely stop his fall, so he put it back into his inventory for safekeeping.

The waterfall was gushing out a hidden river in the cliff so Jason fell and smacked into the beginning of the waterfall.

Jason was riding the waterfall or at least he tried to he was floating on the top but when it got to the part where the water actually fell he wasn't so lucky. The moment he started falling thousands of pounds of water just started pouring down forcing him to the ground.

Jason quickly looked down to see if the place where he landed was going to keep him alive or turn him into meat paste.

Luckily the waterfall poured into a large lake, and the lake looked deep enough to dive in even from Jason's height.

He rode the waterfall into the lake with what he thought was his safety ensured. He looked behind to look at the waterfall and saw some dark patches.

'Ah, those' he thought nodding as if he already knew what the origin of those dark patches was.

'I'll need to remember to go back here later'

He continued falling down the waterfall, when he got close to the end he tucked himself into a diving position and let gravity take control of his body.

*Splash*

Jason was underwater, he could feel the coldness and hear the quietness of the water. He surfaced spitting out the mouthful of water he had just swallowed.

For some reason he instead of thinking about the course he just thought to himself

'man when am I going to be a fully-fledged rose knight, I mean as a trainee I get no benefits, but at the same time I don't know how to become a real rose knight'

Jason climbed out of the lake wondering where he should go, he wasn't sure if falling off the waterfall was part of the course or not. If it was, then the designer was actually satan.

Jason was in a small valley that was completely enclosed beside the lake that he had dived into. Large cliffs surrounded Jason on all sides with parts of the cliff jutting out into the land. The lake was about the size of a regular lake, Jason could see the end of the lake but it would take him a few minutes to swim to the other side. Looking around he could see the height that he had just fallen, the cliff that he fell off of looked like it was immersed in clouds, he could barely see the part where he fell of off, it was even hard to find the source of the waterfall he had jumped into.

Jason had a feeling that something was in the lake. But decided to explore on land a bit more. He started peering behind the parts of the cliffs that jutted out, they were all covered in darkness except for one. It was right under the sun and when Jason looked in he could see the grass and the rocky cliffs and more importantly the tunnel that was lit up by torches hidden on the backside of the cliff.

Jason marked the mysterious place in his head. The place confused him something was missing in it but he couldn't figure out what it was. He looked back at the shimmering lake, the roaring waterfall, and the mysterious large cliffs Something in him knew that he was going to return here and figure out the source of the weird feeling he had here.

He turned around and plodded through the tunnel.

Jason walked through the cave. Nothing was really different except when he walked through all he saw was the walls and the torches appeared in front of him every time he rounded a corner.

He felt like he was walking forever. Jason wasn't scared, but he started to feel bored. Every time he turned around another corner the only thing that waited for him was more cavernous tunnels and more torches. On the plus side, Jason was along with his thoughts, he was thinking many things. Some of the things he thought were important like thoughts about his family or what really was his course in life. Other times his thoughts were stupid like how armrests were chairs for your arms.

Eventually, Jason forgot that he was even walking or even moving, the only thing that he was focused on was his thoughts he didn't direct them but he let them move freely shifting randomly from subject to subject.

Jason didn't know it but every time he was thinking and using his brain, It was like working out his brain making it stronger, faster, and smarter. But Jason didn't know this and just continued along with just his thoughts.

The adrenaline rush from the waterfall incident was starting to wear off, snapping Jason back to reality by the flood of weariness in his entire body. And then with impeccable timing, he saw a light in front of him. It couldn't be anything else besides sunlight.

Now Jason was really feeling it his legs started to wobble his vision started to get blurry. Dragging out the rest of the energy he had he walked to the end of the tunnel.

The gust of fresh air that hit him when he stepped out felt like the sweetest fruit of them all after being stuck in the cramped cave for god knows how long.

*clap* *clap* *clap*

Jason turned his head up looking for the source of the clapper. It was Lyle standing on a wooden platform in the trees looking at Jason. He jumped down and helped Jason sit down on a wooden stump nearby. When Jason had rested enough, Lyle faced Jason and with a solemn attitude addressed Jason

"congratulations trainee Arch, you have formerly passed the trial of agility and wisdom under the witness of me Lyle Anchord and the rest of the Blue 2 squad."

Jason looked back at the platform to see 4 more people standing on the platform. They were all in different shapes and sizes but Jason could see that they were all smiling.
