The Start of Training Part 2

Charlie pushed Lyle away who was hogging the space in front of the board, he took a look at the foundation that had wooden walls drawn on them and started to draw wooden support beams from the foundations that reached into the walls. He was still talking while drawing though

"Lyle is actually right for once, most people think that only flashy skills are needed, but support skills that hold up your unique skills are vital."

Charlie then finished the house by drawing a neat white roof.

"Everything should be held together, like the house that you see in front of you. Every piece has a part, there is no unnecessary part and they all play into a bigger and wider picture."

Charlie looked at the finished house and sighed in satisfaction. But then Mark who hadn't spoken the entire time jumped in and grabbed blue chalk. He squeezed in front of Charlie and started to draw on the house. With his blue chalk, he drew various patterns on the house, when he finished that he started to go a bit crazy in his drawings, drawing blue dragons that curled around the once peaceful house and some ice crystals that decorate the room.

Lyle laughed and ran back to the blackboard. With Mark, together they pushed off Charlie who was trying to erase the stuff that Mark had put on the house.

Mark stood on guard while, Lyle started to draw chaos on the house, such as more of the burning lotus and field of fire and brimstone and lava. Mark turned to Jason who was just sitting and trying to digest everything, Mark smiled and shouted to him

"even though its good to have one that's balanced, you should always have flashy moves that get the crowd going they don't have to even be strong, but sometimes being a knight means that you have to show off"

Jason thought about how his literal currency depended on him "getting the crowd going" and agreed with Mark by nodded his head. Mark smiled at Jason's response and continued trying to hold back charlie who was trying desperately to get to the house shouting things like "my house!!!" "it's ruined!!" "myyy preciousssss"

Ethan laughed and joined in on the fun taking his yellow chalk piece and drawing javelins of light that were raining down from the sky and even mixed his yellow chalk color with Lyle's red fire fields out of pure curiosity on how it would look like. Heck, even Ardem and Colby joined in Ardem took the green chalk piece and quietly drew wisps of wind around the house, Jason was pretty sure Ardem drew a human face and faint silhouette in the wind, but he got a bit distracted by Colby's drawing.

Now it seems Colby wasn't the best at drawing, he had selected grey as his color and he had drawn what seems to be a huge block of rock next to the house. Jason did see him attempt to make eyes multiple times but failing each and every one of them. After a bit of studying Jason finally figured out that it was his attempt to make a dragon, even though it looked more like a derpy god*illa to him.

Charlie had already given up, trying to salvage his house, and sat at the side of the blackboard muttering to himself angry things, such as "I'll get my revenge," "my precioussssss"

Charlie snapped out of it quickly though, he turned to Jason

"nevermind the last part, but that was a really quick rundown on the rose knight swordsmanship."

A sudden notification came up to him as Charlie said that

[rose knight enlightenment 9/10]

Yeah, he got that from a fricking drawing, but Jason wasn't complaining, free skills was free skills no matter how he got it.

Charlie countied

"Now all that's left is to train you in the foundation or basics."

The group that were screwing around at the chalkboard stopped and looked at Jason and Charlie. Lyle let out the evil smile he was showing at the beginning

"hehe I've been waiting for this"

Before Jason could react Lyle ran up to Jason and threw him a wooden sword. He started to shout out commands like drill sargent.

"raise your sword in front of your chest, center it, and make sure it's halfway between your shoulders. Now raise it and start swinging it!"

Jason followed Lyle's commands and started to swing the wooden sword up and down. Every now and then Charlie would correct his stance telling him to roll his shoulders back a bit or to put on foot a little bit in front of the other.

Jason got to about 50 swings when Charlie continued talking

"Today will be the day where we retrain you on the basics, the very base of the foundation. Keep on swinging until it becomes as easy as breathing to you."

Lyle yawned and said to the rest

"Hey guys, it's getting late shouldn't we head back?"

Mark nodded his head and Ethan expressed his confirmation

"yeah its been a pretty eventful day, let's get some sleep guys"

The rest of the group nodded their heads and started to walk back to the barracks. Jason put down his wooden sword and started to follow them. Lyle turned around and saw Jason following them. He barked angrily

"what are doing? get back to swinging that sword!"

The realization hit Jason, Perhaps the week of hell was going to be all 24 hours night and day. If so... oh god. He was kinda screwed huh. Lyle kept on yelling at Jason while they walked back to the barracks, while Jason stood by himself in the field.

"you better be swinging that sword until sunrise, or else were extending the week of training"

Charlie also yelled at Jason as they were about to enter the forest again and to the path to the barracks.

"we'll be back at sunrise, don't stop swinging!"

Jason watched them leave with them all giving him a goodbye. Colby and Ardem just nodded in his direction, Mark and Ethan laughed and gave him a small wave and Lyle and Charlie kept on yelling at Jason to keep on swinging.

Before long they were out of sight and Jason was left swinging his sword in the center of the field with nobody left there. The mansion's red lights had turned on and had slightly illuminated the field in a soft red glow.

So Jaso being bathed in the shimmering red light kept on swinging his sword. Sweat was already flying off his body every time he swung. This was the moment where his innate talent of determination really showed.

Jason's arms started to feel a bit numb as the sunset. But if you looked around, you would see a beautiful picture. A teenage boy swinging his sword in a plain field, with a forest in front of him and a red mansion with soft rose-colored lights coming out of it, while the sunset behind the mansion slowly dipping into the mountains in the background. Showing off a brilliant mix rose gold color that matched the mansion's color.

On one of the rose mansions balcony stood a certain girl. She was dressed in a dark red dress and held a wand that had a large clear colored crystal on it. A gust of wind blew past her making her hair dance in the wind. She watched as the singular figure in the field countied to swing his sword, up and down. Her eyes glimmer, as she watched him a soft smile spread over her face as she watched the figure continue to swing his sword.

The sun had started to hide itself behind the mountains, the rose gold light dimmed and the brilliant background had started to disappear. The night sky slowly set in but the girl just continued to watch the figure swing his sword with a sharp glimmer in her eyes.

She clenched her wand and whispered to herself quietly in an impatient mutter

"only a week left, then we can get things started"

The maid that lead Jason to the field in the beginning when he got recruit appeared behind her. She bowed and said to her

"Lady Megra, one of the Earls is again requesting assistance, it would seem that they are desperate"

Megra's eyes shone as she watched Jason continue to swing his sword, she said to the maid quietly

"reply that in a weeks time, the rose knights will move out and crush the enemy"

The maid bowed and left the balcony to relay the message to the messenger that was waiting for a reply at the entrance. The messenger was overjoyed at the reply and sped off to give the message to his master.

Megra remained watching Jason, her eyes glowed and her red pupils shone in a bright light.

The first battle and trial for Jason were approaching him quickly.
