Seriously?

The receptionist looked at Perseus in confusion,

"seriously? your choosing that one?"

Perseus nodded making the receptionist even more flustered and confused

"wait, you'll regret it, it has a secluded location and is very near multiple gangs and bandit hideouts and there are even rumours of a dungeon nearby!"

Perseus's solemn face twitched into a brief smile which mesmerized the receptionist for a brief moment. Perseus gazed at the receptionist and said coldly

"I'll eliminate all of them, I expect a hefty reward waiting for me when I do so."

The receptionist cowered a bit and answered softly

"understood"

Perseus's face was solemn and intimidating on the outside but in the inside, he was celebrating the lucky location he was about to get. Holy crap everything was useful from the secluded location to the many bandit and gang outposts nearby. Now he just needed to hurry the receptionist up.

His eyes shifted to an even more intense and cold stare. He said to her again with a hint of a growl in his voice.

"I'm getting it"

The receptionist nodded like a meek lamb and left the desk to find the grant.

The receptionist while she was walking to the back of the room leaned against a wall halfway to rest. Somehow that boy who had just seemed like a cute boy who had dreams to be an adventure turned into a threatening guild master who knew exactly what he wanted. The receptionist lady wiped the sweat that was beading off of her forehead. She turned around and gazed at Perseus through a mirror that acted as a camera and showed the view at the front desk.

Perseus was just diligently placing out his quests materials with no sign of the scary person that emerged before. The innocent cute boy who had dreams of building a great guild had returned. The receptionist swallowed the lump of saliva in her mouth and walked into the guild safe.

Perseus had finished almost all of the quests, a few hunting ones weren't finished yet, but he still had plenty of time to complete them. It was just that there were so many herb gathering quests that he completed that the herbs started to overflow off of the counter. Perseus stacked them up in a pyramid shape but he was stopped soon enough by Boops who warned him that it would collapse if he added any more to the pile.

Finally the receptionist returned, it had taken much longer then Perseus had thought it would. In her hands was a file of papers. She was about to put it on the desk but noticing the pile of herbs and monsters parts she forced herself to stop. She looked around for a place to put down the file. But with no place to put i down she sighed and said to Perseus

"is it okay if I turn in all of the quest materials first?"

Perseus smiled in a way reminiscent of the way he charmed the receptionist lady into helping him create a guild.

"of course"

The receptionist handed him the file and said to him as she picked up a huge basket and started to place the items in.

"hold this while I sort this all out"

The receptionist kept on pushing the herbs and monster pieces into the basket, Perseus peered into the basket, he couldn't see the basket filling up no matter how many things were pushing into it. After the entire pile of herbs and monster, parts were taken in and the receptionist pressed a small silver button on the side of the wooden basket, a blue hologram jumped up. On the hologram was information on the materials and items inside. It was a lot like Perseus's inventory with the way it classified the items and its quality.

The receptionist gazed at the screen for a bit then turned back to Perseus

"Alright, so you have completed all of the herb gathering quests and 3/4s of the monster-hunting ones. Do you want to pay to not have to do those quests or do you want to continue doing them?"

"ill do them"

"Alright, here is your reward for the quests you have completed so far."

[you have completed multiple adventure guild quests]

[You have gained 7 silver and 1000 EXP!]

Perseus pocketed the money that the receptionist handed to him. Currently, he had only about 5 gold in total. Still though compared to the rest of the player base who were still earning bronze coins and treating silver coins as rare things, basically Perseus, Arjuna, and his master were very rich.

The receptionist, after putting the basket away in the guild safe asked Perseus

"would you like to look at the file?"

Perseus looked at the file in his hands, he had totally forgotten about it after witnessing the inventory like basket. He nodded and placed the file on the table.

The receptionist opened it gingerly as the file was very old. She pulled out various papers and started to explain to Perseus the inner workings of the house.

"so this is a mansion outside on the outskirts of the city. It has a large backyard and comes with a fairly large land size of about 4 acres of land. The entire property is yours that includes the already stocked blacksmith and training center. Unfortunately, most of the furniture in the mansion itself was ruined and needed to be removed. There are only the bare necessities placed in there such as beds and chairs."

She flipped through the blueprints and handed them to Perseus for safekeeping. Who then put it in his inventory for Boops to analyze. The receptionist lady then flipped to another page and read it briefly. She then explained to Perseus

"so the mansion was used as a small outpost for the army a long time ago, it seems the reason why it was abandoned is a mystery since they left it stocked with most of their valuables. The kingdom sold it to the adventures guild, and they have kept it in the same condition for many years. You are the first person to buy it because of its dangerous surroundings."

Perseus nodded and asked

"Alright, can I take the entire file?"

The receptionist nodded

"of course, the grant is in the file also, with your name already on it, things got streamlined because of the token, the entire house is yours. Ah! wait"

The receptionist bent down to reach a small cabinet underneath the desk. After opening it she grabbed one of the many maps that were folded neatly in it. She unfolded it out for Perseus to see.

Perseus watched as she circled the adventures guild at the center of the city and then drew a long line to guild house, it passed the nobles district, the craftsmen district, the merchants guild, the slums and was close to the ocean and went outside of the city.. The cities walls were in a large U with the ocean finishing the wall with its banks. The house was close to the ocean but the port was far away and that was the good part. There were no other large houses like the one Perseus had since it was the countryside and most of the land surrounding it was just grass and weeds growing unattended. Perhaps it was abandoned because of the many gangs and bandit hideouts that were rumored to be there or it may have been for a more sinister reason.

Whatever it was. It was Perseus's problem now and he would deal with it himself with no help from his master, he had already gotten enough help from him. He pocketed the map and thanked the receptionist with another one of his flashy smiles and left to where the guild wagon was waiting for him along with a group of boys.

He jumped onto the wagon and addressed the group of boys who were curiously looking at him with a grin.

"Alright guys, we're going home"

How long did the young group of former bandits have to wait until they could finally have a place to call home? some were picked off of the slums others were slaves they all had experienced the terrible things in life with no one else to help them. Perhaps this golden-haired person was just going to use them like how the bandits did, to be honest, they were mentally prepared for that already. But the way he grinned and most importantly the mention of a home.

One of the boys in the back, a former slave who didn't even know his own name let alone his parents, took a big sniffle and tried his best to hold the tears that were threatening to erupt. He was one of the softer ones that somehow survived the harsh environment. That boy was the first person in that group to finally have hope. Hope at a brighter future and a place he could call home.

Only time would tell if what that boy hoped for would come true.
