5th Day

Jason got thrown around by Colby, it was kinda funny, he was just getting bashed by the shield that Colby kept on hitting him with and no matter how hard he dug his feet in, how strongly he used his sword to block, almost every time he ended up on the ground or 10 meters away from his original spot.

I didn't hurt too badly though, and Jason was able to get up easily. It was just that every time he got up Colby would almost instantly rush towards him and bash him into the air.

Jason started to lose count of how many times he landed face up on the ground. But every time he got back up. The amount of time he needed to get into the defensive stance, shortened and eventually, he started to get used to the incredible force that slammed into him constantly.

At around midday, Jason was able to land perfectly from any type of slam that sent Jason flying which many of them still did. Jason was not even able to mitigate a bit of the damage.

Finally, Jason jumped back up from the ground, his stance was ready almost the moment his feet touched the dirt field and his entire body was ready to brace for the tremendous impact.

But no attack came and Jason after waiting for a bit of time finally started to search for Colby. Jason couldn't see Colby anywhere. No matter how hard he looked he just couldn't find a sign of the person who was wearing a literal metal suit.

Jason walked all around the field checking everything. But nothing could be seen, Jason walked to the tree where he saw Colby sleeping. Much like when he interacted with Ardem a note and a pendant was left next to where Colby had sat down.

Jason squatted down and opened the note.

it read

[ey whats up Arch, it's me I'm writing this on behalf of Colby, if you get this then that means that Colby thinks that you have successfully understood and mastered the 5th form so congrats and stuff. You get another break, feel free to wander around the camp and stuff, you can head out to the city also if you want. So yeah, I'm going to be your trainer for the 6th form, try not to die on me, and mentally prepare you self k?]

[sincerely your awsome and handsome genius teacher Mark]

[p.s I think Colby wanted to give you a pendant or something like that]

Jason slightly shivered at the thought of Mark teaching him, out of the twins Ethan and Mark, Mark was more in the chaotic camp sometimes accompanying Lyle on random adventures.

And from what Charlie said after he learned the 6th form all of them were going to teach him the 7th form. Which didn't sound like good news to Jason.

But he had again had a few hours of rest. He first looked at the pendant that Colby had left for him. It was made with a silver chain and had a small red orb in the middle of a larger white crystal in the shape of a triangle.

[pendant of protection]

[effect: takes damage equivalent to 10% or targets health]

[description: a pendant made with high-quality silver and a non-elemental mana crystal and a mysterious red orb in the middle]

Jason quickly equipped the pendent and checked the rest of his equipment. He currently only had iron armor and an iron sword. Of course, they were his beginner's gear that could grow so he kept it by his side at all times. It just felt like those weapons were a bit underwhelming compared to all of the shiny swords that the rest of the group had.

Jason could merge his iron sword with the space weapons that he had. Actually that probably was going to be what he did.

Jason pulled out his sword. Sadly the thousands of zombies that he killed didn't drop any amour. Jason had no idea why. He grabbed an ax that he had gotten with a chance of giving a bleeding effect onto the enemy.

The moment his sword touched the axe, a notification popped up

[do you want to use the (regular axe) to upgrade the weapon (iron sword)]

[yes/no]

"yes"

The axe suddenly started to turn into bits of light, those bits of light started to fly to the sword and rotate around it before finally flying into the sword.

Jason quickly check the sword

[iron sword]

[rating: growth (common)]

[attack power: 20]

[defence: 8-10]

[special traits: 5 %chance to inflict bleeding on target ]

[durability: infinite]

The sword's appearance didn't change but the attack power had increased and a special trait had also appeared.

Jason decided to invest the rest of his spare weapons into his weapon, after all, they were just sitting there doing nothing. He did keep 2 daggers and an axe just in case though. But he quickly let all of the weapons pile up in front of him and placed his iron sword on top of all of them.

[do you want to use all 17 weapons to upgrade the weapon (iron sword)?]

[yes/no]

"yes"

And once again all of the weapons turned into light and spun around the iron sword until finally flying into it. The sword had finally changed its appearance though it was tad bit disappointing since it didn't change that much after all of the weapons Jason had put into it.

It was still a iron sword, the blade was still metal, it did shine with a deadly light and it looked noticeable shaper. Jason could also feel that the sword was much lighter in his hands and more balanced. He checked the stats and grinned

[sharp iron sword]

[rating: growth (rare)]

[attack power: 80]

[defence: 40]

[special traits: 20 %chance to inflict bleeding on target, 15% chance to inflict poison status on target, 15% chance to inflict corrosion on target, .1% chance to turn target undead, 4% chance on life steal,]

[your weapon had gained the ability to change into a dagger and axe!]

[durability: infinite]

Jason nodded in satisfaction at the stats. The attack power and defence had jumped up extremely high and the special traits, oh man those were awesome. The number of effects he could put on somebody by just hitting them was so large and the ability to change into different weapons. Hehe, that was going to be awsome to use.

Jason grinned in happiness and then suddenly remembered that he had gotten a gatcha ticket after doing a mission. He had promised himself that he would use it when he got back to reality, but he had totally forgotten about it until now.

Jason quickly asked Boops to use it.

'yeah alright give me one sec'

After a bit, a gatcha wheel emerged in front of Jason. It was a wheel that was split into different colours. There was a speck that looked like the colour emerald would make, a tiny sliver that was gold, a sliver part a bronze part and a blank part that covered most of the wheel.

[would you like to use your 1 gatcha ticket?]

[yes/no]

"yes"

The wheel in front of Jason started to turn, Jason had never played gatcha games but he started to feel a great amount of anxiety and glee as he watched it move. It rotated around once or twice until it finally started to slow down.

Jason held in his breath as the wheel almost completely stopped and only slowly moved every second or so.

Finally, the wheel stopped completely and Jason saw the tick on the silver part of the wheel. He grinned happily. He was totally fine with that.

The silver part of the wheel started to glow, and soon a gift package flew out from the silver part of the wheel in front of Jason.

It simply had an open button on it and Jason pressed it, watching the opening animation of fireworks and sparks flying everywhere before finally stopping and revealing the new item.

[congratulations you have gained a cloak of hiding]

Jason looked at the black cloak that had fallen into his hands.

He quickly analyzed it.

[cloak of hiding]

[rank: unique]

[effect: People can not see your identity when you are wearing this cloak. ]

[note: people with high perception are able to price through the effect of the cloak]

Jason looked at the cloak and thought to himself about the uses of the cloak. It would help when the players got here that was for sure. But currently, it wouldn't help much right? he had no need to hide his identity when nobody knew who he was in the first place.

Jason put the cloak into his inventory and walked off to the cafeteria, it was noon and he was going to get lunch no matter what he was fricking starving.

Meanwhile, Arjuna was suffering under the strict teachings of the dawn alchemists.
