Waking up

Arjuna woke up and lazily walked over to his capsule. He yawned and laid down in the capsule. He tried his best to remember what he was supposed to do today. It was usually the normal things, gathering herbs and selling them, alchemy lessons at noon, and Archery lessons in the afternoon.

The capsule door slowly closed shut and a familiar notification appeared in front of Arjuna

He then opened his eyes in the game world and saw the morning sun shining through the windows of the room. He got out of the bed he was currently laying in and checked his stuff. He had all of his equipment on him, and after a few days of practicing his Archery skills with the gnome master, he was more confident in his skills than ever before.

He walked out of the inn room still yawning and stretching. He the wooden corridor until he reached the stairs.

Right, when he was about to walk down the stairs, the door next to Arjuna's room opened slowly and a familiar hooded figure emerged looking around cautiously at first, but then the hooded figure straightened when she saw Arjuna's back walking slowly down the stairs.

The hooded figures' brain started to churn and she was able to finally understand who that person was. She quickly followed him to the first floor of the inn.

He had already passed by the front desk and had walked to the large room next to it that had tables and wooden chairs set up for a person to sit and eat at.

The smell of food wafted through the air, and Arjuna lazily sat down on one of the tables. One of the waitresses quickly spotted Arjuna waiting and she walked over to him and said politely

"would you like to order anything?"

Arjuna nodded and answered with his chin on the table.

"I'll take whatever you recommend"

The waitress was probably going to give him something really expensive but Arjuna was pretty rich currently and he was too lazy to actually ask for what kinds of food they had. A pretty female voice sounded from behind Arjuna

"make that two"

The waitress nodded while giving a hidden scowl to the hooded figure behind Arjuna. Arjuna just turned his head slightly to see who was talking.

The hooded figure walked over to the table he was lazily lying down on and sat down.

Arjuna lazily looked up to look at the cloaked figure. He said tiredly

"what do you want?"

That sent the hooded figure into a panic, she started to fear that Arjuna didn't recognize her, which he didn't. She said in a shy and worried voice

"ummmm, I'm the person that you meet yesterday"

Arjuna tried to think for a bit, he started to think hard, trying to remember the suspicious hooded figure in front of him. It took him a few minutes but finally, he remembered who he hooded figure was.

He nodded and said

"Alright, what do you want to know?"

The hooded figure nodded back happy that Arjuna remembered her and answered

"I need help, I want to talk to the master gnome Archer Sninkkaakac but he is notorious for being scary to newcomers and he doesn't accept talk to anyone except the people he acknowledged."

Arjuna propped himself up remembering that this was probably the start of some quest.

"why do you want to ask for him?"

The hooded figure stopped for a second and thought for a moment, Arjuna could tell that the person was trying to decide something. Eventually, she whispered to Arjuna in a low voice.

"my people need his skills, and if he won't come to help then I must learn some of his skills."

Arjuna was a bit taken aback at the person's statement. He didn't think that the gnome master that was teaching him was worth anything. He was just a grumpy loud gnome who had some skill. But enough for people to actually seek him out?

Arjuna asked curiously

"who is Sninkkaakac to you?"

The hooded figure lifted her head proudly and said

"the master archer, the one who is able to blend with the shadows and fight them too. The last of his kind, the one who even got the blessing from the night. The Nightfall Archer"

Arjuna started to contemplate what the hooded figure had said,but then a notification popped up in front of him

At first, Arjuna kinda thought the hooded figure in front of him was just spouting some bull crap, but now with the system itself confirming everything. He had to rethink how he views the gnome who was teaching him.

He looked at the hooded figure in front of him and said.

"Alright, ill try to help you, but you have to tell me more about the nightfall Archer"

The hooded figure nodded

"Alright, I free to talk whenever"

Arjuna nodded, he started to think that he didn't want anyone to eavesdrop on them so he said to the hooded figure in front of him

"Alright, let's talk in my room"

The hooded figure looked taken aback and thrust her head away like she was extremely bewildered and confused. She started to stammer out

"u-umm I'm not sure if that's a-any g-good you s-see its a b-bit..."

Arjuna cut her off since it seems she was going to talk for a while longer if he didn't

"I don't want anyone hearing this"

The hooded figure got out of her trance and nodded quickly and followed Arjuna up the stairs. If you looked closely you could see a pointed ear poking out of her hood that was flushed bright red in embarrassment.

Arjuna just continued walking up to his room to lazy to think about anything else. He invited the hooded figure in and sat down on his bed lazily. The hooded figure looked around but couldn't find a place to sit, except next to Arjuna, but she was too embarrassed to do that and just sat down on the floor.

Arjuna looked at the hooded figure and asked

"alright, the black cloak is pretty suspicious is there a reason why you keep it on?"

The cloaked person in front of Arjuna thought for a moment and then asked him quickly

"do you have any prejudice to subhuman?"

"na"

"do you have any relation to the Lion empire or believe in its ideals?"

"na"

"will you be willing to not tell anyone except for people like Sninkkaakac about my identity?"

Arjuna didn't know why the person in front of him, had started to act as if she trusted him. Not that he was complaining things were much more convenient for him. So he nodded and answered

"uhhh, sure, we just met remember"

The hooded figure nodded to herself no hearing what Arjuna said after the sure. She said quietly

"Alright, I don't think you will do anything bad to me, and from what mama told me you should be trustworthy."

She then looked at Arjuna and said with a determined voice

"Alright, ill show you since you are my only hope of meeting the Nightfall Archer"

She then pulled off her cloak and revealed her self.

She wore a green tunic with elegant golden embroidery on it. She had a light green brooch on her neck. Dark green pants that hugged her body tightly and high leather boots. She had a brown belt around her waist and a small skinny sword was holstered on it. She had elegant blond hair with fair white skin. Her eyes held a gentle light her warm golden pupils giving her a gentle aura. She had small pink lips and she gave off a gentle smile. She looked to be around 17 years old.

She said again, in the morning sun that shone down on both of them

"I am Alanis Enneiros an elf residing in the hidden forest"

If any other dude were standing there they would definitely would have been stunned at the beautiful lady in front of them. But Arjuna was Arjuna and he just lazily looked at her and remarked

"yeah, I could tell you were an elf"

The aura and awesomeness from Alanis's reveal started to fade and she sat down again, awkwardly. Arjuna looked at her in the eyes this time.

"Alright, tell me everything you know about the Nightfall Archer, in exchange I'll help you with the Sninkkaakac thing"

The elf nodded and started to talk

"the Nightfall Archer is a profession that before belonged almost exclusively to the elves. During the great tribulation, they were one of the pillars of elven strength, they are as fast and deadly as an assassin, as sneaky as a rouge and with the dexterity and agility of a ranger. They are the true masters of the hunt"

Arjuna's eyes flashed and all signs of tiredness disappeared from his eyes, he started to focus on the elf in front of himself even more
