Jason rushed over to the city gates. The rose knights along with Jason's traps had already whittled down the bandits army from a few thousand to around 700 hundred. Sadly it seems that most of them were elite bandits.
The charge at the rose knight platoon failed spectacularly and the remaining bandits regrouped back out of the archers range.
Jason didn't know how they were going to be able to take down the city with those tiny numbers. Unless they had a super powerful tool or person it was going to be impossible to take down the city of Muno.
The bandits could see Jason and the group of wolves and people following him. They probably spotted the bows on the green barrack members' backs and saw the wolves, so they immediately thought knew that he was the one who was responsible for all of the traps.
The bandits wanted to immeditatly charge towards Jason and the group, but then stopped cautiously. If he was walking to them all nonchalantly it probably meant that he had another trap laid out for them right?
Jason suddenly stopped at a safe distance, and just looked at the bandit army. The bandits saw him stop and all thought that he couldn't cross that because he laid some deadly trap that they didn't activate yet or something.
Jason stood there in the valley wonder what he should do. In hindsight, it probably was a stupid idea to walk down from his vantage point to where they outnumbered him.
But the bandits weren't approaching him for some reason so he was pretty safe apparently.
The rose knights and the elite bandits were also just gazing at each other. The bandits though felt a tremendous pressure by the people behind them, the ones who orchestrated the traps that had thrown them into chaos.
In the bandit's minds, they had only one way forward, through the rose knights. The bandits started to prep themselves for a charge. But it was noticed by the rose knight trainees a sudden shout from a familiar person in the rose knights shouted in his impatient hot-tempered voice
"Aww screw this"
Lyle activated shunpo and appeared in front of the bandits and swung his sword in a downwards motion, blasting bandits away. Lyle stood up from the small circle he had created for himself and let out a battle-hungry grin.
He placed his sword on his shoulder as he said in an almost thuggish style
"heh, alright finally some real action"
Jason could hear back in the rose knight platoon at the city gate, an audible sound of a hand meeting a face.
Charlie slid his hands down his face as he sighed in a tired voice. Eventually, he gave up
"haaa, alright charge"
Hearing their commanders order the rose knights let out a vicious roar and charged. The bandits were still disturbed by Lyle's sudden attack and weren't ready for a full out charge by the rose knight platoon.
But the elite bandits were able to create a defensive line with their shields after Lyle retreated back to join his comrades with shunpo.
The rose knights and the bandits clashed with a tremendous noise, shields deflected heavy blows, and blood was drawn. The two lines clashed and had a moment when both sides were at a stalemate, with the bandit's ferocity momentarily making up for their weakness. But then again the rose knights had been trained their entire lives for battle as one of the most elite forces, even as trainees with no experience, they weren't going to lose to some bandits.
The red members dug their feet into the ground and grit their teeth as the bandits swung and stabbed as hard as they could on their horses. But not a single one gave ground in fact, they pushed forward like a moving steel wall.
With a sudden push and a yell from their leader Jitsuryoku, the red barrack members shoved with their shields giving them a gap of 3 meters. They picked up their shields and rotated so that their shields were touching the person's next to them creating lanes in the formation.
Green members charged with a loud war cry, their daggers shone as they slid on the ground and cut the tendons of the horses that the bandits were riding on making them collapse on the ground.
Most of the horses on the bandit's vanguard were immediately rendered useless, and the bandits had to struggle to get themselves off of the horses without injuring themselves leaving them easy prey the green barrack members.
A sudden charge by the bandits caught the green barrack members off guard and they were forced to retreat back behind the red barrack members again. The blue barrack members rushed out to meet them. They ran in long lines each of them wielding a deadly sword.
They acted like dividing lines in the bandit's army they would sweep in and cut off a chunk of the group with a furious charge. Their lines were split with one person in the front and another in the back. They would charge into a group and furiously force the bandits on the outer side back. While the one in the back acted defensively and made sure the other side wouldn't get stabbed in the back.
Using this strategy the blue barrack members started to isolate groups of bandits, leaving them as easy pickings for the green barrack members who had armed themselves with arrows and other long-ranged weapons.
The red barrack countied to stand firm advancing constantly making the bandit army slowly retreat as they lost more and more people.
Lyle who was in the very front of the line that charged deep into the enemies to break them apart saw one of the guys behind him get hit by a spear. Lyle yelled out to Colby who was next to him a warning as he didn't want the line to suddenly collapse.
Colby nodded and stuck his shield into the ground, a golden light emitted from his shield and a clear force field with hints of red and brown in it emerged from it blocking out all of the enemies and protecting the trainees next to him.
Lyle grabbed the blue trainee next to him who had a spear hanging out of his stomach and disappeared with Shunpo behind the red barracks defensive line. He dropped him to the ground and nodded to Charlie who awaited him and disappeared again.
Charlie quickly kneeled next to the blue barrack member. The blue barrack member was conscious and could talk, Charlie could hear him mutter
"I can't believe I got hit by a stupid spear, I swear it appeared from nowhere"
Charlie gripped the shaft of the spear and said
"save that for when you show your scar off"
And he quickly pulled it out, the blue barrack member let out a small gasp of pain, but he quickly suppressed it. The blue barrack member was about to stand up even though he had a gaping hole in his stomach, but Charlie stopped him, pushed him back down, and started to chant

A soft warm light enveloped the blue barrack member and he watched as the wound started to close.
The blue barrack member flexed his stomach a few times and thanked Charlie, he then stood up again intending to fight but Charlie pulled him back down again, he admonished the barrack member
"no, fricking stay, leave this to the rest of us"
Lyle shunpoed in with another injured member this time it was a red barrack member who complained that he was fine as an arrow that was dangerously close to his heart was stuck in his chest bleeding profusely.
To prove it the red barrack member flexed his chest muscles making the arrow pop out with the arrowhead and everything.
Charlie witnessed that monstrosity and resisted the urge to slam his face into a wall. He walked up to the dude and said in a slow calm voice
"you weren't supposed to do that"
For some reason, the red barrack member froze up like a cold gust of wind had hit him and he just mumbled the response of
"yes sir, sorry sir"
and once Charlie had finished the chant he lumbered off, but then immediately stopped where he stood at Charlie's sharp command
"you are staying here, understand"
The red barrack member nodded in fear and stood their and Charlie left to attend more minor wounds.
The hooded figures in the very back watched as their bandit army got completely decimated by the rose knights, even if they used the tools there wasn't a way to break through at this point. From a few hundred meters away the saber wielding figure kept on picking up spears and threw them will all of his might, while the dagger-wielding figure occasionally used a bow and shot a few arrows.
The saber wielding figure muttered angrily
"I could have finished a few off, but that dude keeps on taking them somewhere before I do"
The dagger-wielding figure shook his head
"We should retreat back to the main force, I'm sure the bandit leader can help us.
