Lyle raised a mug of juice and a plate of food in the air.
"PARTY BAY BEEEEEEEE"
And all around him, the rose knight trainees all raised their mugs filled with the various beverages of their choice. The soldiers of Muno also raised their drinks high in the air as they faced Lyle who was standing on top of one of the central tables in the tavern.
And with a laugh, Lyle downed his drink along with the rest of the people in the tavern.
The entire group erupted into cheers and loud laughter celebrating the defeat of the bandits and subjugation of the commander ranked monster and its various leader ranked monsters. For the red barrack members, it was their celebration for fulfilling all of the requirements to finish the trial. For the soldiers of Muno, it was the celebration of their dear city, finally being set free from the calamities that plagued them for years.
They had lost some people in the battles, and their comrades drank to them multiple times. Their sacrifices would be remembered and their families taken care of, the Baron himself had promised that.
So the largest tavern in the city of Muno was jampacked with men celebrating their return and victory.
The sun started to slowly dip down behind the mountains as the nightlife in the city of Muno slowly stirred awake.
The lights in the various houses and restaurants shone brightly as the sun slipped away in a gorgeous mix of red, violet, and blue.
The tavern was still full of energetic people. The red barrack members were competing for how many drinks one could hold. The blue barrack members were betting on who would win setting up a voting ballot and everything.
The green barracks were busy eating food and playing with the wolves, which were allowed in the tavern as a special occasion. The green barrack members loved the wolves back in the training center, having a wolf help out in reconnaissance was like having a giant radar that could detect almost everything in a 200-meter radius.
Plus they were fricking adorable. Jason spotted various green barrack members feeding the wolves with the food they bought from the tavern. The wolves loved it and seemed to be the happiest beings in the room.
The owner of the tavern at first frowned at the sight of the wild animals freely roaming around. But after he almost spilled an entire tray of food on the floor before Lance jumped in and caught the entire tray of food neatly on his back.
The tavern owner was now tossing the wolves a spare piece of meat every now and then when he was free.
Jason watched the rose knights and the soldiers of Muno freely interact laughing and swapping stories. He sat on a table away from most of the chaos on the corner of the tavern where the rest of the blue 2 team sat.
Charlie spotted Lyle walking towards the red barrack members drinking competition with a smile on his face and hurried off to stop him before it was too late.
The rest of the group was at the table. Ethan and Mark were talking, Ethan was in tears muttering something about his horse and Mark was trying to stop Adaran from climbing on top of his shoulders while comforting his brother.
Colby was quietly drinking and eating. But Jason could see him savor each and every drop and bite of food with a clear expression of relief on his face.
There was one more person sitting at the table. The only female in the tavern beside the waitresses that took orders.
Natalie laughed to herself as she watched her child climb all over Mark who had surrendered to the child's overwhelming energy.
Jason hadn't gotten a chance to look at the two closely as he was distracted at the notion of going back into the forest, but now he could at them.
She had blond hair that fell past her shoulders and blue eyes that had a unique sparkle, a gentle smile covering her tired face. She had rough hands from working in the fields, and her skin after Charlie's healing spell didn't have any of the bruises that she had originally and instead had clear pale skin.
After they arrived she had gotten some money from Charlie and had bought clothes and other necessities in the city shops.
She was now wearing a white skirt that reached her ankles and a sky blue wrapping that covered her shoulders and chest.
She looked to be in her 20s or 30s and acted like so too. Natalie noticed Jason's gaze and smilled at him.
Jason realized that he was probably being impolite. But then saw an opportunity so he scooted a bit to where she was sitting and greeted her.
She gave a gentle laugh and responded
"haha, Arch I heard from the rest of the guys, that you were the one that spotted me and my child"
Jason shook his head
"no, I was just lucky to have spotted you"
Natalie shook her head
"no, regardless you saved our lives and for that, I am eternally grateful."

Jason swipped away the notifications that were comming in as they started to swarm his vision.
"no problem Natalie, by the way, and please excuse me if I am being impolite but what are plans for living now?"
Jason seemed to have struck a chord as Natalie's expression considerably softened and lowered from a smile to a neutral expression.
"I don't know," she said softly "I don't have any family or acquaintances here and the only belonging we have now are the things Charlie gave us, the only things I can do well are a bit of sewing, cooking, and gardening"
Jason suddenly was hit with the empathy of the fact that this was the ideal moment to recruit her and subsequently her child Adaran.
Jason's brain started to churn and looked at Natalie with a serious expression.
"I have a proposition"
Natalie looked at Jason curiously, she for some reason, trusted this quiet boy who didn't talk much but had somehow become close with those ferocious wolves and an integral part of the Blue 2 team.
"what is it?"
Jason looked at her with his chin resting on his propped up hands.
"my brother is currently running a guild, it's just recently started but already has a guild house and is destined to become a big guild. The guild's members currently consist of people around your child's age 8-13 year olds. While they are all responsible people, my brother needs somebody to help take care of them all. He will pay you at a good price I can vouch for that but you are going to have to take care of a bunch of kids for a bit of time until they can grow up."
Jason laughed to himself as he continued
"It may sound stupid taking care of a bunch of kids, but those kids are going to grow into something amazing, and your child can also join if you want, so I, Arch, am now formally extending an invitation to you and your child, I want you to join the silver wings guild."
Natalie thought about it for a few seconds but then was reminded of her circumstances. The rose knights were going to leave the city after this. The rose knights, famed for their strength and chivalrous acts. This could be a chance in a lifetime perhaps her son could grow up to be one, they currently had nothing to their name, their village was now in ruins behind the dark forest. Perhaps this was the start of a new beginning.
Natalie looked up
"I accept, please take good care of me and my child"
Jason widened his eyes as he remarked internally
"Wow I didn't expect that to go so easily"
To which Boops crossly said
'its the fricking Charm stat ugh that's so op'
Jason nodded and smilled at Natalie
"Alright, we'll take you to the city of Herdita and let you settle in there, ill let you meet my brother Perseus and you can officially join the guild.
Natalie nodded happily and Jason excused himself happy that he just got himself a responsible caretaker and a talented child. He wasn't sure what Adaran was talented in, or if he was even willing to join Jason. But steps were being taken in the right direction.
Colby on the other side of the table listened to the entire conversation. His interest peaked as he listened to the news of Jason having a brother who was a guild master at that.
Perhaps in the future, the two worlds of Jason and Perseus would collide in an interesting fashion. But that was for another time.
