The guild members looked at Perseus who had just asked them the question in surprise, they knew their new guild master was nice but nice enough to do this?
All of them suspected that there was something that Perseus wanted them to do. They shivered remembering being beat by the bandits for reasons they still didn't know.
One of the guild members answered shyly after remembering what happened when he spoke like this to his former "leaders"
"umm sir, we are fine with whatever you want"
Perseus quickly turned around and said
"great" with a mischievous grin on his face, now nobody could complain if he put these kids to work.
Perseus then started to drive the wagon deeper into the city, towards the ports. He opened his inventory to see the fishing equipment safely displayed in it.
It was finally time to put the fishing equipment into use.
Perseus and the group of guild members went past the center of the city where the adventures guild and other important buildings were situated in.
Perseus was glad that Boops was currently checking in on him and was kind enough to display the map of the city of Herdita.
The city was separated into districts, of course, the central district that Perseus and the guild members were currently in included key buildings like the adventures guild, and the various sub guilds, the City Lord's mansion, and more.
Right next to the central district was the noble district with its large mansions and gardens with clean walls and streets that were well it and patroled by diligent soldiers.
On the left of the central district was the merchant district which had the commerce market and the merchant guild along with numerous bustling markets and shops.
And after that the craftsmen district that Perseus and the guild members had once gone through. Perseus reminded himself that he needed to find an able blacksmith later for the item he had gained as a reward for having 30 guild members.
But that was for later. The residential district seemed to wrap around the merchant, noble, craftsmen, and central district and fill in the outer part of the city in a crescent shape. Of course, there were pockets of the slums that were spread everywhere.
And behind the 4 main districts and the residential districts and all of the other smaller districts was of course the ports. It couldn't be counted as a district as they were just so large.
The city of Herdita was in a half-circle shape with the sea almost cutting the city into a half-circle. Large wooden ports stretched out to the sea with huge clippers and other types of ships were safely docked on them.
Perseus while he was thinking about the layout of the city had safely arrived at the ports and gazed at them.
The bright sparkly sea greeted Perseus and the guild members along with the strong scent of salt that assaulted their noses. The sea breeze brushed against them gently lifting Perseus's golden hair up in the wind.
The guild members all collectively let out sounds of amazement as they looked at the huge ships that rolled into their sight.
Their towering frames, the white sails, the strong hulls, and menacing black cannons that shone in a dark light.
Ship after ship they passed, and every time the guild members would "ooh" and "ahh" at each once. Some were simple clipper ships made for long-distance travel. Others were menacing battleships that looked like they had taken a beating with crumbled posts and shattered parts of the hull.
Perseus looked at the emblem that was inscribed onto the battleships. It was a black sea serpent raising its head out of the water with a fierce expression. It was much more detailed than the rose knight's emblem, which was just a rose.
And it seemed much more technical with a complex circle with various runes surrounding it shining in a unique turquoise color. When a wave rose up and touched the black sea serpent emblem Perseus could just barely make out faint turquoise scales that briefly shone as the water touched.
Perseus and the guild members rode on, their eyes glued onto the damaged navy ship for a few extra seconds.
Finally, after around 30 minutes of riding, they came across an empty port, with almost nobody nearby which was very convenient for Perseus, he rode as close as he could to the empty port and then jumped off.
He handed each of the guild members a fishing rod and bait and then pointed towards the end of the port.
"Alright kiddos, we are going fishing, if you need me to teach you then just ask"
Perseus laughed to himself evilly, he was going to make them fish for a while and he would get so much fish from them heheheheheh the amount of money he would get from selling them somewhere inland.
The guild members looked at the fishing rods in their hands and then at the vast open sparkling sea and back to the fishing rods and bait.
Huge grins appeared on their faces.
They had expected to be brought to someplace to work their butts off. But now the guild master was bringing them to fish! Fishing was one of their favorite activities. Simply just letting their rods sit in the ocean hoping for a fish to bite while they relaxed and enjoyed the view. There was almost nothing better than this!
The guild members looked back to Perseus in gratitude, they would treasure this mini-vacation with him for a long time and they quickly ran to the end of the port chasing after each other with happy smiles as they prepared to fish and enjoy life for a bit.
Perseus watched them in confusion. While Boops chuckled. Jason received a large number of points from those boys and Perseus still thought he was an evil genius for making those kids work.
He grabbed his own fishing rod and walked towards the end of the port to where the 5 guild members were happily chatting and throwing their lines into the sea. He joined them and sat down as they all started to settle in.
Perseus sat next to two guild members, who both gave him enough room to sit. He nodded to both of them and stared off into the vast blue ocean. Small flocks of white seagulls flew over it. Ships could be seen approaching the port. The sun sparkled off the ocean like jewels and Perseus and the 5 young guild members quietly sat there. Looking off into the vast world wondering what lay beyond it.
Perseus smilled as lifted his rod to a better position. Just as he thought about whether he could get the fishing skill from this. One of the boys gave off a yelp as he stood up resiting the pulling force that came from his rod.
Perseus stood up, excited, this was the first time he had ever seen something like this happening. Like he had seen and read books but seeing it first hand was always different.
The boy struggled with the fish on the line. Grunting as he tugged back. Perseus wanted to help, but he honestly had no idea how to do so. Thankfully one of the boys that he sat next to jumped up and helped the struggling boy to stay in place.
Together the two of them pulled and in a glorious fashion, a fish flew out of the water and onto the deck. The two boys celebrated and ran up to the fish.
They picked it up and unhooked it expertly. They seemed to know all of the fishing techniques after all this was a port city and some of them weren't always the servants of the bandits.
They took the fish and walked over to Perseus and handed it to him with proud victorious smiles.
Perseus smilled and put the fish into his inventory. Boops analyzed it and said that it was on the smaller side of the fish they got. But it was the effort that counted.
Perseus smilled and thanked the two for their hard work.
Another boy gave off a sharp cry and all 4 of the guild members rushed over to the kid eagerly anticipating the fish that might come out.
But Perseues's gaze was directed elsewhere at the end of the port, where the road began and where numerous people were still busily walking from merchants conduction the trade to fisherman hauling in their new catch.
Perseus saw a white-haired girl walk down the streets, she had violet eyes, a black eye patch covering her right eye which was almost completely hidden by her white hair, pure white skin, and small soft red lips completed the picture. She looked to be a bit older than Jack around 11 or 12, she was dressed in dark gothic clothes and a single white flower adorned her hair. She had a despondent expression as she walked down the road.
Perseus wouldn't have paid any attention to her if she was just like that, but the real thing that caught his attention was the numerous large muscular men that walked down the road proudly with no shirts on.
Perseus glimpsed at one of the guy's backs and saw an insignia that he was all too familiar with.
It was a mound of dead bodies pilled over each other and a single skull on the top of them. It was a ripper symbol.
Perseus analyzed one of the guys
[ripper enforcer]
[level: 33]
"interesting," he said to himself "I guess the rumors as true"
The white-haired girl seemed to sense Perseus's piercing gaze and turned to him. Violet pink eyes stared at him.
Perseus felt a sudden pressure wash over him, but he still maintained eye contact with that girl. His blue eyes stared back at the girl with an almost defiant expression.
The girl narrowed her eyes at Perseus, but after taking a look at the kids next to him. She seemed to close her eyes and turn away. She then walked away with all of the ripper enforcers carefully and loyally following her.
Perseus quickly analyzed her
[Lilliana Lightheart]
[leader of the rippers gang]
[level:???]
A cold shiver ran up Perseus's back as he watched her figure recede into the crowd.
