Perseus happily walked out of the adventures guild. He had just finished talking with the receptionist about the details of the blacksmith and how it would be created.
The guild members were still waiting for him in the wagon as he walked down to them. They welcomed Perseus with smiles and waves once they saw him.
Perseus let out a small chuckle and he lightly leapt onto the drivers seat with a small jump. He looked back into the wagon to see the guild members finishing up the last bits of food that he gave them with a satisfied burp.
With a quick flick of the reigns Perseus set off, he promised to take those kids fishing after all.
The sun was still high up in the bright blue sky, and as the wagon got closer to the ocean, the smell of salt got stronger. Seagulls could be seen flying over the city and the cool ocean breeze swept through the city in a refreshing manner.
The guild members were chattering and excitedly pointing at everything that caught their interest.
One of them pointed out the funny-looking people who ran around the streets wearing elementary gear. There was a large variety of them most of them muttering something about quests and level-ups.
Another one pointed out the large building that was slowly being unveiled in the middle of the city. It was a huge building one that even from where the wagon was, they could see towering high above the rest of the city.
It was a building with red walls and white pillars to accent it. Large glass windows covered the top of the building. And in a sign that many could see written in gold letters on the top of the building was the name
(auction house)
Perseus knew that one was going to appear, but he didn't expect it to rival the size of the adventures guild and also be placed in the central district too. The central district was usually where the important buildings were. Even the important buildings of the other districts like the merchant guild or the city hall were placed in the middle of the city where their respective districts connected at the center.
One of the guild members pointed at the line of soldiers that were patrolling the streets. Soldiers of the Belusian kingdom. They had chain mail covering their bodies with a chest plate and a helmet painted with the crest of an eagle and a blue and white background.
Boops had actually gotten a book that told him what the crests stood for. Of course, they represented the kingdoms and other noble families. But the colors that they had showed which virtues and strengths they held in importance.
For instance, the blue on the Belusain kingdom represented strength, and the white representing sincerity. The eagle itself represented protection.
Boops didn't know if the knowledge he had about crests meant anything or was even useful, but it was fun to know nevertheless.
The Belusian soldiers held gleaming spears in their hands as they marched through the city.
Boops could be heard quietly muttering to himself
'interesting, the soldiers here should have the crest of the rose family, why are the soldiers from the kings land here?'
Another one of the guild members happily pointed out the light purple flowers that were growing on small patches of green near the ocean. If Perseus remembered correctly they were Lantanas. Salt-resistant flowers which were known for their beautiful purple color.
Finally, Perseus rounded a bend and the guild members all stopped to collectively gap at the wide ocean in frount of them.
They were at a port so it was naturally busy. Tall ships could be seen docked at them with numerous people moving around transporting goods and trades.
The ocean was spread before them, magnificent and wide. The sun shone down on the water in little sparkles and the white foam could be seen even from were Perseus and the guild members were.
Perseus took a deep breath of the fresh ocean air and continued to drive the wagon down the port looking for a free part.
One of the guild members who had finished admiring the vast ocean pointed his finger at one person who had caught his childish interest.
"look," he said pointing
"That woman has a drawing on her face"
Perseus curiously looked at where the kid was pointing. It was a beautiful woman wearing a black dress. She had long purple hair that almost went down to her waist. Her lips were cherry red and looked full and plump. Her eyes were dark red almost like the color of blood. She had a black choker on her neck, that Persues couldn't help but think looked a tad bit uncomfortable.
The woman was surrounded by a group of rippers enforcers who stood around her vigilantly watching both her and her surroundings. She was standing on a small empty part of the port just like what Perseus was looking for, watching the ocean waves rise and fall into the beach and sandy waves.
Boops took a quick look at her, and let out a surprised spitting noise as he realized who that woman was.
He quickly told Perseus that he was going to Jason really quickly and disappeared.
Perseus didn't really know what was going on, but he was sure that Boops would tell him later, he quickly turned around to the kids in the wagon and started to toss them fishing supplies.
Soon each of the young guild members had a fishing rod and some bait in their hands.
Perseus pointed with his head towards the empty port that the woman and a group of ripper enforcers were standing at.
"come on," He said hopping off with a fishing rod in his hand. "we can share the port"
So Perseus walked over to the port end with a group of young boys behind him.
One of the ripper enforcers noticed Perseus and the group walking towards them. He stepped forward his arms crossed as he said in a hostile voice
"leave, can't you see that this place is occupied?"
Perseus waved his hand dismissively
"I can see that this place has plenty of room, I don't know about you though"
The Ripper enforcer's eye twitched in anger and he cracked his knuckles as he walked towards Perseus with murderous intention.
A soft voice said quietly
"Let them be"
Persues turned to see the source of the voice, she stood at the edge of the water quietly watching it as she spoke her purple hair lifting up in the ocean breeze.
The Ripper enforcer looked at Perseus for a bit, almost like he was debating whether or not he should listen to what she said.
She spoke again this time a bit more stern
"he won't be a threat, let the poor fisherman fish"
Perseus nodded his head, trying to suppress a small grin as he looked back at the ripper enforcer.
The ripper enforcer's eye twitched again in anger, and finally, after a few seconds, he spit at Perseus's feet and walked back to surround the mysterious woman.
Perseus let out a smug grin and walked over to the end of the port next to the mysterious woman. The young guild members let out a happy cheer and started to toss out their lines.
Perseus too sat down letting his legs hang over the edge as he cast his line. He held it and watched the waves for a bit as the mysterious woman stood a few feet away from him.
"beautiful huh"
The mysterious woman turned to see Perseus for the first time. She looked at him for a few seconds and then turned back to look at the waves
"Indeed, " she said quietly "they give off a feeling of peace and tranquility"
Perseus let out a small chuckle
"yup, my brother actually, has a special spot just like this, and he says the same thing"
The mysterious woman smiled
"Perhaps I and your brother aren't too different"
Perseus turned to look at the mysterious woman. And gave her an appraising eye. He compared her and Jason together in his head.
"yeah no, you guys are nothing alike"
The mysterious woman could only let out a light chuckle as he continued to watch the waves form up and then fall in an endless pattern.
"oh really? enlighten me"
Perseus leaned back setting his fishing pole to the side.
"for starters," he said looking at the group of ripper enforcers surrounding her.
"he isn't a caged bird"
The mysterious woman gave no response though Perseus did catch a small increase in her breathing. Her chest rose and fell as Perseus continued
"my Brother loves waves and the water because it reminds him of freedom, after all, water is the freest element there is, nothing can conform it"
Perseus looked at the mysterious woman as he said quietly
"But, it seems that you may have a longing for that"
