Jason ran over to where Peppers and Uranius had exited the forest, the group of grey dots getting closer to the open field.
The alpha wolf also smelled the newcomers and dashed over to join Jason as he ran across the field.
Peppers stood at the edge of the forest waving her staff in the air towards them as Urnaius stood next to her with his hands on his hips and a proud expression on his face his two red blood axes hanging from his waist.
From behind the two of them. A creature with gleaming grey eyes and a shiny silver coat with red wisps walked quietly out of the forest. It walked out silently on four legs. Giving a curious look to the two figures another wolf and a human running towards them.
More and more wolves emerged from the woods, some with grey coats and others with a more reddish tint.
They walked out into the bright open field, shaking their fur.
The alpha wolf paused and came to a halt when it noticed the new wolf's reddish coat.
Jason also took a moment to admire the growing pack of wolves.
Some of them walked out with scars covering their bodies, and one of them even had one of its eyes half-closed with a red scar covering it.
The pack of wolves emerging from the forest grew in size, congregating at the forest's edge as the newcomers looked around in confusion and caution.
Jason recognized one of the wolves in the silver wings guild pack walkout.
With its tail wagging furiously between its legs, it emerged from the middle of the new pack, happily running over to the alpha wolf.
As it ran over to the alpha wolf, it let out a happy bark.
"Boss! I found some friends!"
Jason squinted his eyes as he counted the number of wolves.
The number that was emerging from the forest has started to decrease and at last, the last remaining wolf stepped through the forest.
But something was different with the last wolf. Much different, instead of the regular grey and red coat of the rest of the wolves. This wolf's coat seemed to embody all of the colors of fire.
From its head, the rich golden orange color like the warmth of a campfire slowly trickled down into darker shades of orange and red as it went further down the wolf's coat.
Its eyes had orange-red iris, and as the wind slowly brushed against its fur coat, the colors on it started to ripple, almost like the colors were moving in waves, exposing the darker or lighter colors when the fur coat was moved in a different way. This wolf stood a head taller than any of the other wolves and its claws also seemed to have a dark orange color.
The alpha wolf stood in the field, its voice slowly letting a soft tremble as it quietly said
"it's him"
Jason didn't understand much of what was going on. But quickly stepped back, and silently waited.
The alpha wolf turned its head back and let out a series of loud barks. In a matter of minutes, Jason could already see the dust cloud of the entire wolf pack running towards them.
Jeffery was the first one to reach the alpha wolf. It stopped next to the alpha wolf looking around curious as to why they were summoned. Jeffery's view fell onto the pack of wolves waiting at the edge of the forest. Its view fell upon the last wolf that emerged its magnificent red coat shining in the soft glow of the afternoon sun.
Jeffery paused for a moment, and then with a loud yell of joy it ran down towards the wolf with a joyous yell
"UNCLE MILES IS HERE!"
The red and orange coated wolf squinted at Jeffery for a moment and sniffed the air and then the sudden dash of remembrance hit it right before Jeffery jumped onto it frolicking in joy as it jumped around the new wolf.
Jeffery looked tiny compared to the large wolf, almost like a toddler around an adult.
Miles let out a cheerful laugh as it rubbed Jeffery's head with its snout.
"haha, young Jeffery, it's been ages since I've seen you"
"yes it really has been ages, old comrade"
Miles gently shook off Jeffery who was trying to pounce in its hind legs and looked at the source of the voice.
The alpha wolf stood a few feet away, having followed Jeffery down to the new pack. The alpha wolf's grey fun quietly ruffled against the wind as it looked at Miles with solemn eyes.
Miles gently laughed
"It has been ages, how have you been Adawolf?"
The alpha wolf shook its head
"I don't use that name anymore, I'm simply the alpha wolf, I lost that name along with everything else"
Miles looked at the alpha wolf quietly for a few seconds.
"What a shame, it was a good name, bestowed by one of the mystics too"
Saying that Miles looked around at the open field at the large gathering of wolves that stood a few meters away along with a human boy standing in their midst. They all looked well-fed and had a healthy sheen to their coats.
"what's with that human?" He asked nodding his head towards Jason.
Jeffery who was struggling to climb onto Miles's back shouted out
"THAT'S BOSS, BOSS IS A NICE HOOMAN"
The alpha wolf quietly explained.
"he speaks our language, and perhaps, maybe even has a blessing"
Miles solemnly nodded. He looked around seeing the large buildings in the background with the human children running around the overall activities around the place.
"So is this the haven that I was told about?"
The alpha wolf slowly nodded
"every day it gets closer to being one"
Miles looked around again, seeing the wolves part of its pack look around warily.
"then what does it have to do with us?" Miles said in a low growl.
The alpha wolf walked closer to Miles, tilting its head upward in order to make eye contact with Miles.
"it can be a home," The alpha wolf said quietly.
"Perhaps it's time the remnants of the clan settle down, we've run away too much, we've lost so much already, shouldn't we start to attempt to regain what we have lost?"
Miles let out a low chuckle
"with what, your grey wolves?"
Miles tossed its head towards the group of red and grey coated wolves next to it.
"the ember wolves legacy is destroyed, its home lost and the last remnants forced to watch the bloodline slowly get tarnished, What confidence do you have to take back what the ember wolves, the mystic wolves, and the tempest wolves have failed in?"
The alpha wolf shook its head
"I don't have confidence, but I do have trust in somebody, some people"
Miles growled out in a bit of anger this time.
"in that boy, in humans?"
The alpha wolf let out a laugh and looked at the two humans next to Miles.
Peppers and Uranius looked at both of them with shining eyes. They had no idea what they were saying but it was fricking awesome since it looked like wolves could communicate. Oh man, what would happen if they learned how to communicate with them.
Peppers let out a small squeal as she imagined herself surrounded by fluff while Uranius let out a small giggle as he imagined himself leading a pack of wolves to take down a goblin leader.
The alpha wolf turned its head towards the silver wings house
"humans are very interesting, some are good, and others are extremely evil, but for now, rest and enjoy some food, this is your home, whether you want it to be or not"
Miles looked back at his pack to see them all looking at him with eager eyes. This was the first time they had ever seen another wolf besides their own pack, and it was also the first time they were ever offered a place to stay, most of the time they had to fight for a place to rest, along with how healthy and well-fed the wolves here were. It wouldn't hurt to stay a bit right?
Miles looked at his pack and then back to the alpha wolf.
"fine old comrade" it grumbled "we might as well stay for a bit"
The alpha wolf let out a smile and turned around to face the silver wings group.
"Great!" it said "I'm sure you'll enjoy the food"

Jason let out a small laugh at the notifications that started to flood in and then turned around to see the group of wolves, now integrating themselves into a singular pack all of them walking towards the silver wings house.
With a shrug of his arms he followed them.
