Rage

Jason took a deep breath, looking around at the wolves that launched forward like an ever-consuming wave. The young guild members rode on some of their backs lowering theirs bodies till they were almost parallel with the ground. Even through the huge mix of emotions throughout the entire group. Not a single word was said, not a single unnecessary noise could be heard.

Jason ran with them, the pantheon party right behind him. The forest floor started to slope downwards, the ground becoming more rocky every passing second. The forest started to give way to a huge valley around 300 meters wide. There were sheer 50-meter drops on the left and right of the valley. There was no green life in the valley only a light reddish rock everywhere. Poorly made structures made out of animal skin and bones rested in the valley. With large masses of green goblins wandering around the valley.

Thankfully they were charging in at where the valley started to decent, where a large group of people could easily descend.

There was a small path that sloped down to the bottom of the valley. On the left side of the valley, Wide enough for two people to pass through at once.

Jason looked at the alpha wolf, a silver glow encompassed the wolf as he dashed towards his lost home,

"godspeed"

The alpha wolf nodded and charged down the valley with the wolves and young guild members following it, it was at this moment, that all of the wolves simultaneously raised their heads up and howled. The noise reverberated through the entire valley and forest.

The goblins in the nest looked up, to see a large mass of wolves charging towards them, their teeth bared and their growls sounding like death sentences.

Loud shrieks of anger and terror came from the goblin nest and soon, large groups of goblins armed with weapons made from bones and from fallen adventures rushed to intercept the invaders.

The alpha wolf lead the wolves and the young guild members down the valley, charging with furious yells.

The groups of goblins hurried up to form a line snarling and snapping at the wolves and young human children as they came closer. Under the orders of what seemed to be a goblin leader, who towered over the rest, the goblins quickly abondined their line, raised their weapons and charged up towards the incoming wolves.

The two groups got closer and closer to each other, under the bright sun, the alpha wolf, who was in front of the pack leaped out into the group of charging goblins with the rest of the wolves leaping in right behind him.

The alpha wolf quickly tore through the first goblin that it saw landing on its throat, the goblin fell to the floor dead. The alpha wolf picked up its head to spot 3 goblins about to swing their weapons down on him. The goblins were grinning as they swung them down, but their expressions died down as they saw a shadow pass over the alpha wolf.

The last ember wolf landed on top of the 3 goblins with flames pouring out of its mouth and body. The goblins underneath the ember wolf were instantly charred.

The ember wolf looked back at the alpha wolf and gave a small nod. The alpha wolf quickly picked itself up and swung around, swiping with its claws. The alpha wolf's claws glowed with a silver light, and a crescent-shaped blade flew out cutting down the goblins near them.

The ember wolf let out a chuckle

"Still got it huh"

The alpha wolf smiled and looked around, the rest of the pack was pouring onto the goblins relentlessly, he saw Jeffery tackle one goblin and dig its claws into another while guiding a small party of wolves to flank a large group of goblins.

Some of the goblins rushed to attack the wolves' side, but a group of young guild members riding on wolves rushed over stabbing and slicing as they went past like a brigade of calvary.

The alpha wolf watched as one of the young guild members, Natalie's son, Adaran, jump off the wolf he was riding with a spear in his hand, and raising it over his head, stabbing a goblin in the forehead. The spear pierced through and even thudded into the dirt.

A group of goblins jumped at what seemed to be a defenseless human on the ground, unlike the agile wolves which seemed to dodge every single attack they threw, the human should have been easy prey.

But that seemingly defenseless human leapt up the first goblin and gave it a solid roundhouse kick, teeth flew out as the goblin feel the floor. Without looking he reached out with his left hand and bent the pole of the spear back, letting it spring back into place in the face of another goblin that was attempting to sneak up behind him.

The goblin lay on the group knocked out in front of the group of 10 or so goblins that surrounded the small human boy. All of the goblins stopped and looked at each other, the human now looked a bit more intimidating than when they had first ganged up on him.

Adaran grasped the shaft of the spear and with a mightily pull, withdrew it from the ground. He held it pointed towards the goblins and let out a yell. A sudden golden glow emerged from his eyes and it seemed to burst out into the surroundings in a small shockwave.

Adaran didn't wait and instead jumped into the crowd of goblins, another guild member riding on his wolf rushed over to help Adaran, he had white hair and dark pink eyes, holding a saber sliced each goblin that came into his reach while the wolf bit and tore at any wolf in front of it.

Adaran's wolf also leaped over the goblins and landed next to him snarling at the goblins.

The alpha wolf turned his attention elsewhere fully trusting that they would be able to make it out alive.

A group of about 20 goblins slowly surrounded the area where he and the ember wolf were standing. With their backs to each other, an ember wolf with flames being exhaled from his mouth, and its dark orange and red fur shifting around, exposing new colors, and a grey wolf, whose eyes portrayed the essence of calmness. Its entire body giving off an aura of confidence and charisma. The alpha wolf's grey pupils narrowed as he assessed the problem before him.

The ember wolf lowered its head, the flame that was in its mouth, steadily burning brighter as it spoke

"When I say so, you better jump"

The alpha wolf nodded its head, grinning a bit, he knew exactly what the ember wolf was going to do.

The ember wolf took a huge breath, the flame burning even brighter than before, the alpha wolf put strength into its legs and leaped straight up into the air.

Looking down the alpha wolf spotted the ember wolf rotating around in a circle letting out a huge red flame out of its mouth that charred the goblins surrounding them.

The ember wolf looked around at the black charcoal remains of the goblins and let out a small burp of flames. As the alpha wolf landed on the ground without a single sound. But the moment its feet touched the floor, it took off running dodging through groups of goblins, leaping over packs of wolves and young guild members.

The alpha's eyes were dead set on a single target, who was standing a few heads taller than the rest of the goblins around, he was holding a huge club and roaring out in anger seeing the goblins get beaten back.

The goblin leader looked up from smelling down its club on a goblin that tried to run away and saw a huge wolf leaping towards it, with its jaws wide open aimed for its neck. The wolf's eyes glowed with a white light leaving traces of it as it leaped towards the goblin leader.

A few moments later the alpha wolf let out a satisfied sigh as it watched the rest of the goblins let out shrieks, drop their weapons and flee under the fierce chase of the wolves.

As the alpha wolf looked at the retreating goblins, he was able to survey the entire valley. It was now stripped bare of any greenery and life that he had once remembered, instead it now the ground and walls of the valley was a dirty red clay color with numerous holes dug into the side to serve as homes for the goblins, poorly made huts was spread in the bottom of the valley, the alpha wolf spotted numerous wolf pellets covering them.

The goblins fleed back to the deepest parts of the valley, where more noise and chaos could be heard. The alpha wolf knew that the group of goblins that came out were only the vanguard there were still plenty more goblins.
