Yuri chose to say nothing to her instructor. Without knowing who or where the boy came from she instead kept everything to herself.
"He doesn't look dangerous and he's not one of those beasts were sent too hunt... " she thought out loud "I'll take you back and get some medicine... then we'll figure it out"
Quite optimistic and equally cleaver she managed to sneak him back into the country. A little extra tip to the taxi driver and she had gotten him home.
It took several bandages and some of her medical supplies but being in the H.A.L.O. program these supplies were easy to come by.
After wrapping him up she fell back into the bedroom, mind swirling with the days events until she fell asleep on top of the covers.
In the early morning she found the boy alive but still asleep. After preparing a note and some lunch she rushed off to school.
As the sun inched it's way across the floor it eventually fell on his face, the warmth and bright lights shook him awake. "What?" He said looking around.
Slowly he picked himself up looking around this new place. Impressed at how clean this space was his curiosity was triggered at the total lack of Qi.
Off in the far distance he could feel a great body of Qi but it was to far to feel.
After looking about the apartment for a little while longer he eventually began making his way out of the building.
Down the halls past the elevators he had never seen towards a stair well. As he made his way out the building several people gave him dirty looks as he made his way out into the street.
Following the crowds he moved slowly towards the mass of Qi.
Through the garden path and through the towering buildings Atom was marveling at the structures and people.
Each person gave the bloodied child in strange clothing and bandages a looking over before continuing. Atom however looked from one person to the next.
Not a single person resonated Qi yet they were all healthy, several quite elderly but most of all the sea of people seemed endless.
In the northern wastelands where Atom was from the population was decimated by the calamity and as such Atom never seen such a mass of people.
Yet as Atom looked from person to person he still had not sensed even the slightest Qi.
For the first time in his life Atom felt like a lion amongst cubs.
