Gwinnett Medical Center

Michael stood up from the bed as he grabbed his head in pain. He grunted to prevent a scream from coming out. As he left the bed a distant part of him noticed a pain emitting from his right arm as he stood up, and a loud beep as he entered the bathroom in the room.

Closing the door behind him he rushed to the washroom, just opening the cold water lever, he splashed his head at first before dunking his head sideways under the water. It made him feel a lot better, he felt like a knife was constantly ramming into his head from different directions.

Michael turned off the water. Glancing at the towels to his left he grabbed one and pulled it out of the tube it was folded it in. Drying his face he slowly straightened out, the headache went away like it was never there. He noticed there was knocking behind him.

"Just a minute!" He said under the towel, Michael glanced up into the mirror as the towel slipped from his fingers.

Staring back at him was a young blonde teenager with emerald green eyes and pale white skin. There were stitches in the upper right side of his forehead. The boy was wearing a hospital gown and while tall, was rather skinny.

"Wha-what is."

Michael saw himself growing up in Mexico, raised in an orphanage, the only thing he could do for fun was soccer. In there he could at least dream of getting out and seeing the world one day. Eventually when he turned 14, a scout from the team of Monterrey, saw something in him and soon he was signed to Monterrey.

Getting his shot to play professionally as a midfielder for the team at 16. He was soon bought by-

William saw himself growing up in Suwanee, Georgia, raised by both his mother Samantha Lawson, a criminal lawyer, and his father Joshua Zahino a quartermaster in the army. He had always had everything he ever wanted, except , time with his father, he was always in his base station, and when he came, he expected a disciplined soldier, not a rebellious son. Their parents would argue days on end, until eventually they divorced, his father found another family while his mother stayed single. He eventually found an out in Cross Country and Track.

He was a natural at running long distance, but for some reason he could never pull out reserves in the last lap out of his ass like most runners seem to be able to. Highest place he had gotten was 8th place. Having finished middle school last week, he was hopi-.

'No, I am Michael! Or am I William? Who am I ? What's going on? Whose memories are these? Am I going crazy?' Michael glanced up once more, touching his face, staring at his hands.

'Maybe I went on a comma and all of this is my imagination? Or did I really die and my last wish came true?'

'Did I get another chance in life? How could this be possible, how am I in someone else's body?'

Touching his face again, he could only accept it as real. 'No matter if this is a dream, or if it is real, I will fulfill the dream I couldn't as Michael. I will be William, William Zahino from now on.'

"I am coming, you can stop knocking." William finally said.

He opened the door and the lady with dark-brown hair, 'No, my mother.' rushed into his arms in tears.

"Oh Will, I tho- I thought, I, I had lost you, I am so sorry." Her words were muffled as she buried her head in his shoulders.

William had his hands on his side before hugging her back. 'In my last life, I was an orphan, in this life, I will treat you like you deserved mother.' He silently promised himself.

"It's not your fault." Recalling the memory of the accident, William continued. "I am sorry for what I said before, you are the best mother anyone can wish for, I love you Mom." He realized he did, he had the feelings of William from before the crash, as well as his memories.

His mother pulled back to look at him in wonder, tears masked her face. He gently reached his thumbs to wipe away the tears.

"What's with the tears Mom? Criminals won't be scared of you if they see you like these."

She laughed and cried at the same time as she hugged him back with more strength.

William glanced up and saw that there were 2 nurses and a middle-age man with a white coat on, a doctor he assumed.

"Ahem, Mom? Can we stop for just a minute so they can check me and release me? I want to go home." He did feel tired, and he had a lot to ponder about.

As William took a shower he inspeacted his body. While he was very lean, at least he was toned, he assumed he was around 5' 8" tall.

'I can work with this, there is definitely room to grow.' He was specially happy with what he was carrying below. 'No more blue pills, Haha!' He thought with a smirk.

"Honey? Are you in there?" Came his mother's voice followed by a knock.

"Yes!." William yelled back after moving the shower curtain out of the way.

"Okay. Why are you up so early? It's 4am! You couldn't sleep honey?" Came his mother's worried voice.

"I slept just fine Mom, I just want to get some exercise done early." He yelled back. "I'll be finished in a few minutes."

After a pause his mother added. "Are you sure you should be exercising Son? Why not take it easy for a few days honey?"

"I am fine Mom, I haven't felt this great in a long time."

"If you say so." Came the reply. Not hearing anything else, Will continued his shower before getting out and changing clothes.

After putting on some shorts and a Creekland Middle School shirt, he stared at himself in the mirror again.

'I will have to do some weight training, as well as a considerable amount of sprints. I need more muscle and speed.'

'Jesus, I will have to go to high school! I had private tutors in my past life. Maybe this time I can get the most out of that experience.'

'I have to check if this is the same Earth, or another reality as well.'

Getting out of the bathroom, Will walked to his room. Looking at the bed-stand, he spotted his S10. Recalling his passcode, 1201, his birthday, he opened it.

Opening Google chrome, he typed his name, old name. Michael Espinosa.

The first three results told him what he needed to know.

"Michael Espinosa died on Sunday May 19th due to a heart attack, experts agree that this might set Barcelona back..." FoxSports.

"Did Michell Espinoza die?" Yahoo Answers.

"Sad day in sports, Michael Espinosa has passed away. Not having any close kin, at least he will be sorely missed by both fans and his players..." ESPN.

Locking his phone, William put his phone in his pocket.
