Justice or Vengeance

My latest self imposed mission sought the source of humanities near destruction and the hunt was on my fleet of ships scouring the nearby stars for a hint of the perpetrators. I'd given humanity a chance now it was time to get payback for their near extinction and so I traveled to empty systems building new ships and soon my fleet numbered in the hundreds mind you these were all operating with a relatively dump ai and a near instant connection to myself. I was ready for anything but what I found my foes proved elusive and powerful their technology was on par with my own and each time I found one they would mutually annihilate my own ships and themselves before they surrendered often times I came across a battle site and both ships were little more than scattered debris.

I had stagnated from the lack of challenge my new foes gave me the ultimate challenge and I was living it up new ideas new ways to fight and exotic insanity that had almost no chance to work. My latest random idea ended up giving me the ability to curve my plasma lance beams making it so I could fire up to 80 degrees with out line of sight meaning that at any given direction I could have 80% of my ships entire weapons array firing at an enemy and that was amazing and kind of cool looking with the plasma arcing around my ships. My newest invention brought my fleet above parity with the new enemy and soon it was clear that I was winning as more and more of their ships fell to my fleet. After a couple years of hunting the alien ships down and searching for their origin I found it a massive star base that was surrounded by their ships in orbit of a planet that looked pristine and untouched by technology. I called in my entire fleet of ships and soon space was filled with planetoids I even called in my mega ship though even with extensive modifications to it that allowed it to make short jumps it would still arrive too late for the battle though I was stalling for time the enemy armada was lined up and ready to go and out numbered my forces by 3 times as many ships.

I knew that this battle would be the end of my fleet but I couldn't give up so I readied my respawn system and ordered the attack the battle commenced with hundreds of thousands of plasma lances arcing through space and striking shields I had never used their full range before and this time I was even technically outside of my range with only ionized particles hitting their lead ships. Before the enemy could even get in range my concentrated fire had taken out dozens of their ships and then we reached effect lance range and dozens more were destroyed and yet the enemy fleet was still not in range of their own weapons.

I bought every advantage I could by packing each of my ships a full cargo bay of missiles honestly I typically avoided missiles as I felt that they were a waste of resources but in this instance they were my secret weapon as I triggered the command and hundreds of thousands of missiles shot out into space as my fleet shifted positions to clear the arc of fire. The missiles were a distraction and a threat of a few of them made it to their target get then they would have done their job I'd calculated optimistically that they would take out a handful of enemy ships. The battle turned bloody when we reached the enemies weapons range and they finally returned fire and so the battle was on ships on both sides exploded in their death throws as reactors went critical and ignited the fuel.

Space boiled with plasma lances missile exhaust and explosions the battle was drawing to the inevitable conclusion my fleet defeated and in ruins the system a wasteland of discarded parts and slagged metal. It was as the last of my fleet a mere handful for ships struggling to survive the maelstrom of firepower that was being directed at them that my most powerful starship had arrived its hull a mirror polished gold and silver color was a much welcome to see. My warship had finally joined the battle and the tide was instantly shifted as beams lanced out and enemy ships simply vanished into rapidly expanding clouds of metallic gas's.

I awoke on the bare deck on the floor of my respawn room aboard my guardian class dreadnought and so I rushed to the command center to observe the end of the battle and boy was it glorious. The enemy fleet shifted aim to my beast of a ship and it simply shrugged off the firepower while the three ships that were left of my armada of Aegis class ships took the temporary reprieve to do some damage of their own before they were destroyed. My once mighty armada reduced to a single slow warship but what a ship it is there were about a hundred enemy ships left but each time one of the main lances fired another vanished in a cloud of atomic energy and they could barely test my shields. Once their fleet was wiped out I ordered the attack on the station and then the real battle began luckily once I realized that they had weapons I ordered my starship to attack from maximum range and then it was just a matter of time before the station was destroyed.

The orbital station surrendered before their shields gave out and asked my demands to which I replied that they should give me all of their data and never destroy another world in my dominion and if they did so I would exterminate them I even said that I was acquiring their tech for the 'borg collective' lol.
