His mind was instantly cleared of his desires.
"You… you're a virgin..." he trailed off, shaking his head slowly.
When the girl nodded, his black pupils narrowed.
Breathing deeply, he closed his eyes. And when his lashes fluttered open, he couldn't hide the hint of anger that crossed his features for a fleeting moment.
"Tell me… how come you're still untouched?" He licked the inside of his cheek as though he just realized what a stupid question he had just spouted.
"Because I've never had a boyfriend before," she replied, leaving him with no choice but to continue asking.
"Why?"
"I don't know… I haven't really thought about it."
For some reason, he felt like her answer this time was a half-truth. Perhaps because her expression was a little flustered, as if she was someone who didn't know how to lie.
"Don't tell me you have never been kissed either." he continued asking.
And she blinked again. She just sat there in silence as she looked around the room.
Once again, he couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief before running his hands through his hair. He sensed that this little lamb might have not been with a man before but… to not even have been kissed at all was a little unbelievable. Did this woman want to become a nun at some point and then change her mind about it or something? How did she even get mixed up with someone like him?
He got up and dressed himself.
"Get dressed." He ordered and the still stunned Abi helped herself up, covering herself with a sheet.
"I… I… wait… Did I pass the test?"
"No, you failed," he said, running a hand through his hair again.
Abigail look shocked.
"W-why? Is it because I really didn't attract you at all?" she asked.
"I don't do virgins," he replied as he put his clothes on. "Get dressed now. I'll send you back home."
She didn't move. She simply stood there, looking like she couldn't believe what he had just said. But after a long silence, she shook her head. "No. I'm not going home. Not until I pass your test and become your girlfriend."
"I told you. I don't do virgins. I don't like inexperience girls. You failed the test," he repeated.
At that moment, Abi didn't know why, but she just felt that if she gave up on him now, she might never see him again. The experience she had just gone through... his touch... his kiss... it was all exhilarating. It was... simply mind-blowing for her. Even though she was incredibly nervous, there was one thing she was certain of: she enjoyed and liked it all—the sensation of his fingers and lips on her skin, the sound of his voice, and the gentle caress of his breath. She yearned to relive that, to experience that inexplicable feeling once more. She didn't know why, but she just felt that if she let go of this man, she would never experience that again. Something within her stubbornly whispered that this man was her final chance. The first and last man in her life.
Eyes gleaming with stubborn determination, she stood and faced him. "Okay, so if I return as a woman of experience, I will pass the test, right? Is that what you're saying?"
He paused, his hands that had been in mid-air, adjusting his jacket, came to a halt.
"What did you say?"
"That's what you want, isn't it? Then I'm going to go out there and get some of this so called experience… until there won't be any reason for you to turn me away."
His eyes widened slightly, a subtle shift in their usual composure. The furrow of his brow revealed a touch of surprise, while an unspoken tension knotted his features.
