Lingering Attachments

"Ah, we meet again." Liu Guiren inclined his head at the dark haired young man before him. Inside of the university, the student council president met up with a familiar person.

One could almost call them an old friend.

And right now it was easy to notice that they looked roughed up, as if they had encountered a scuffle before arriving at this premise. Liu Guiren managed a friendly smile, "It looks like you've been quite busy and that amounted to your tardiness didn't it?"

Wang Liquin kept themself silent, perhaps wishing to ignore them before nodding their head in greeting. The young man before him couldn't dare offend him by not saying anything—despite their own personal vexations, they had no choice but to pay respect to their senior,  "It's been awhile, I heard that you were busy with locating your missing friend, Guo Xiaobo?"

But it didn't mean that the young man before him wouldn't throw their own jabs.
