An Endless Blaze

Fire bursted into the distance as two young men shot out of the flame's direction into two different sides. The plume of flames consumed the vegetation around the place where they had been standing—the cool weather and the wet ground was completely obliterated from the fox's fire.

A Huli Jing hovered all around them, each one identical to the other and neither of them could tell which was the real one. He was toying with them, a languid smirk on this face as he showcased the difference between him and them.

Centuries of experience.

Was it true that the young ones could always overtake their seniors? A disciple becoming stronger than their master. Someone had said it before—but that didn't take into account the legends, the ancients and those who didn't stop pursuing their goals. And so the fire grew.

A being of fox fire and illusions.
