She stopped for awhile to listen anxiously, then started to cry in agitation as for response.

Ugh, she wants to see her twin.

The nurse was holding a small baby, swaddled with blue blanket. Both of the babies were crying non-stop and was brought to the waiting new parents whose faces beamed with pride.

The small, petite woman looked utterly worn out as she waited for her two babies. Her dark hair was wet, sticking to her face as she watched the nurses handed her two babies on her arms.

Huǒ Mèi smiled widely as she looked at her babies's cheeks were puffed from tears and still crying non-stop.

She craddled both of them closely.

Huǒ Mèi caressed them dotingly. Then, her expresion tightened. Resolutely, said to the doctor. "Tell Huá Yìng that both children and I are fine."

"Yes, Mistress." the Zhang's doctor stiffled his smile and donned a similarly serious expression.

The birth of young miss and young master did not mean at the end of the matter. To full protect the privileges left behind by General Zháng Shì, there were still many hard battles to be fought.

Gasps were heard from the other side as they looked at the babies in awe and adoration. Even some of the maids gave a sigh in relief, knowing the mistress and the both children were safe hence, their duty was done. All smiles appeared on their faces.

Zháng Měisì raised her little head, and crouched to peek her twin.

Her twin raised his little head, to look at his new sister. Both of their gaze locked onto eachother.

At the moment, they bumped each other and craddled by their own mother's arms. Each of their hands raised out, and their hands intertwined quickly, holding on tightly and they went quiet.

The sudden silence in the whole room made everyone look at the entire scene in shock. Even the doctors never seen such a phenomenon.

Perhaps, it was all coincidence, and the babies holding on eachother's hand was a mere reflex action.

It made Huǒ Mèi furrowed her eyebrows at their unexpected little actions. The maids tried to take the babies. This caused their held hands to separate, and they started wailing again. This time it was even louder than before.

The maids panicked and brought the babies together and once they touched, they were quiet again.

"Put them together." the Zhang's doctor instructed, and seemed to be amused on the babies. The maids nodded and did as was told.

Once the babies were lying down, they turned towards each other instinctively and helds hands again.

Huǒ Mèi have the urge to cry in tears. If her husband sees this, it would make them happier to see how special their babies were. For now, it was enough to see that the strong bond between the twins was truly special and wonderful.
