I feel like the shapeshifters background could be elaborated on a little more as the story progressed. What exactly happened during the war, how did it effect others? I find little grammar mistakes here and there but that's more of a personal pet peave for me. As for character development, the story is only on chapter 2, so I'm sure our protagonis will progress later on in the story. Besides that, great story so far!
