Exiting the gate I came into a ten meter by ten meter tiled room. Multiple sinks on one side and multiple toilets on the other. A single door leading out. No one was inside so I wasn't sure if I'd come to the correct location. Seeing nothing of value I exited the room into a larger venue.
It was a vibrant atmosphere with many humanoids. Some were surrounding tables throwing dice while other humanoids were dancing on top of the tables in various states of undress. Surveying I noticed that nearly all humanoids here ranged from one-half to six meters in height. Didn't the requirements state that four meters was the limit in height? Well maybe the additional height caused penalties over the four meter limit. Might make it easier to pummel more demons at the expense of a lower reward rate. There was some fierce betting going on not only at the tables but also people watching large screens of adventurers killing or getting killed by demons. One screen had a list of adventurer group names along with their trophy kills, win/loss, profit percentage and share price. A graph showing the ups and downs of share price since a group inception was also on display.
BoldB*stards was at the top spot for the last 53 weeks. Share price currently listed at 5aa. . Its Initial Public Offering at the groups inception was one silver piece
Looking at the last place was the newest group GoldDiggers started yesterday and with a share price of n/a.
A nearby currency conversion chart read:
n/a = no IPO (Initial Public Offering)
100 copper pieces = 1 silver piece
100 silver pieces = 1 gold piece
100 gold pieces = 1 aa piece
100 aa pieces = 1 zz piece
100 zz pieces = 1 level piece
100 level pieces = 1 Rumoldolayug
Each level piece could be used to raise a player's level up regardless of which level they use it at. Surging through a bottleneck or level cap. So raising up by one hundred levels was basically being raised to a deity level character. Getting to Rumoldolayug was winning the game.
I looked around and spotted the registration desk. Approaching easily I said "I want to register as an adventurer. Can I solo?"
The attendant was a shapely well endowed female humanoid. I was only able to tell by measuring the increased heat signatures whenever a male humanoid glanced her way.
"Sure honey, just fill out this card and pay the fee to the registrar at the counter behind you." said the attendant.
At the top of the form it was time to name this character. Feeling smug I wrote a Lord Fatty, Heavenly God of Healing, Level 10,000,000. Supreme Qi cultivation of blesses alchemical monk, Greatest being to ever live. I continued to fill out the registration card and paid the required sum to the registrar.
Looking around I adjusted my visual array to display the other humanoid species names.
Dwarf, Elf, Human and Chimeran were represented. I knew what the first three were so I double tapped on the Chimeran to get the species description. Describing Chimeran as a mixture of two or more species such as Elf/Dwarf, Elf/Human/Dwarf, Dwarf/Goblin, Human/Other, Dwarf/Giant/Dragon/Squirrel/Frog, Etc.
Then received my Adventurer card.
Lord Fatty / Chimeran healer / Level 0
"Pardon me Miss Attendant but this is not what I filled out on my registration form" I said.
"Honey, there's a truth in registration law here. If you lie your registration will label you a criminal. You won't get any quests after that."
"Umm. Then thank you Miss Attendant."
Somehow I registered as Chimeran.
Truth be told that I'm the collective sentience of trillions of beings too small to see. Each of these tiny beings have their own way to generate primordial energy for action potential. While it's difficult for me to hone in on any single being their collective will guides my thoughts. Which also generates my true name, Phati, written as Lord Fatty publicly. Previous experience dictates not giving my true name out to strangers. I never want to experience a malicious geas again.

I'm
The BoldB*stards are a mixed collection of Dwarf and Elf. All a wearing green headbands with their gang name printed on the front. Looking around many others also are wearing headbands while many are not.
"Miss Attendant, is there any significance to wearing a headband?"
"Headbands identify which group you belong to while the colors show your level rank. Look at this chart"
Rank Color
Level 13 Black with Gold edge
Level 12 Black
Level 11 Dark Brown
Level 10 Light Brown
Level 9 Tan
Level 8 Red
Level 7 Blue with Red edge
Level 6 Blue
Level 5 Green with Blue edge
Level 4 Green
Level 3 Orange
Level 2 Yellow
Level 1 White
Level 0 No headband
So I don't have a headband nor belong to a group. Looking around there are several others without headbands chatting with different groups.
So it's a team based role playing game I've been invited to. I mingle with other level zero players as well as groups since I need information.
"Eh? The BoldB*stards are not recruiting newbies! Orange headbands or higher." one Elf BoldB*stard shouted at the young Elf girl that apparently made the wrong inquiry.
I walked over to her. "Hey there. What's your name? I'm Lord Fatty."
The young Elf girl looks up. "I'm Luna Regolith" she extends her hand to shake. I take it as gently as I can without using any strength since I cannot actually touch her. The hand sensors indicate that her hand is soft. Almost as soft as my natural body.
Luna wears loose ao dai dress that accentuates her curves. A fact that was noticed by several gangs that might take her for group play or other "support".
Being a invited player myself I calculated the statistical number of possibilities of becoming her associate.
"Please take care of me Miss Luna Regolith"
"Please take care of me Lord Fatty"
"I arrived today and don't know the situation please guide me." I look into her eyes which register as a warm green of innocence.
"Well if an adventurer is just starting out then performing super simple quests to generate a reputation of success. After which you can try to join a group, gang or guild. I've been here a week and completed two herb gathering quests. So I thought I'd try to join a group. Unfortunately, everyone still considers me to be a green newbie adventurer."
"What's your profession?" I ask thinking she might be a mage or courtesan not having armor or any weapons.
" I'm a Elf monk level 1." Luna said.
"I'm a Chimeran heavy armored healer" I said omitting my level.
Luna looked at him in his obviously expensive armor. He must be super wealthy to afford that as a healer. It would be worth her time to make his acquaintance
Hmm, she might do, I thought. She's small enough to be able to fit inside the exosuit if we get into a difficult situation. With my Divine Sense I could feel she wasn't another god nor evil.
She was near perfect cover. Besides I was sure the nature of this game was to acquire the most experience and wealth. That wouldn't happen just collecting herbs without a party.
"Miss Luna Regolith would you form a party with me?"
She looked hesitant. "Well. After all we just met. Shouldn't we get to know each other first. How could we get married?" She stammered.
