Ch.41 Pure soul

As soon as we left we began sprinting, trying not to run into any of the passerbys. Once we were away from people I let my wings come open and flapped upward it felt so good to stretch my wings. I looked down to find Anyira, found her and swooped down to pick her up.

"Are you ready?" I asked her.

She nodded and we took to the skies. I flapped hard against the wind, I could feel myself growing weak, but I kept going. We were so close to the island, I couldn't turn back now.

After many minutes of struggling we finally it to the island. I felt myself grow weak and I fell to the ground.

"Hey! Myira are you alright?" she in an out of breath tone.

"Y-yeah." I said as I slipped from consciousness.

There was nothing. Nothing. No vision. No memory. Just darkness. What could this mean.

"Myira?" a familiar called out.

The darkness began to fade from my eyes, I was in my parents house. I looked around and I saw Anyira sitting next to me.

"You woke up, but, how?" she spoke in curious tone.

"Wait what," I asked. "What is going on?!"

I heard a thud and mother came rushing in.

"Thank the gods! Myira your ok!" she said hugging me.

"What is happening?" I questioned both of them.

"Well," Anyira began. "You passed out as soon as we landed here and I took you into the village to see if there was anyone who could help." she finished.

"A power, a power only from a sacred tribe blotted out the pure light within you. I sense this power is what distroyed the tribe of Shadows well over 200 years ago..."
