Ch.62

When I woke up I looked at my clock. 'Today's the first of November?' I thought rubbing my eyes. Wait. That means I slept for TWO DAYS. It's strange but some how I feel recharged, almost as if I could take on anything. I sat up on my bed and stretched. After stretching for a few minutes I got up and headed into the kitchen to grab some water. As I sipped the water I made my way to the sliding glass door and stepped out onto the cool ground. I looked at the sky and decided I was going to the beach today. But why would I want to go there? I finished my water and headed back inside. After setting my glass near the sink I changed into decent clothes and left.

As I walked down the crowded street I felt rushed, almost as if I was late to something. I walked faster and faster but it would never be as fast as flying. "I can't fly here!" I thought to myself. My walking began to speed up and before I knew it I was at the beach. There were small groups of people spread out on the sand. I walked to a small space where where hardly any humans lingered and took off my shoes. I stepped onto the warm sand and headed to the water. As soon as the water touched my feet, a strange but familiar feeling fell over me. I breathed softly.

"Myira." I looked around shocked. That voice! 'It's the same one that called to me the other day.' I thought. I looked around and realized that you could see the islands in the distance. One stood out in particular, the island of Shadows. A huge beam of purple light illuminated from the island. I looked around, could the humans see it too?

I took a few steps further into the water. A cool breeze drifted across my skin. I closed my eyes and took a breep breath of fresh ocean breeze. I could feel heat from the sun warm my skin. I opened my eyes and looked at the island again. The beam of light was gone. I wonder why it was there? I stood there a few moments longer before I felt the warmth of the sun disappear from a passing cloud.

I looked up at the cloud, it was dark! As I focused on it, it grew larger and larger and before long the whole city was covered in a dark shroud. The air around me began to grow cold, a similar feeling to the Snowy Realm of Shadows. One thing seemed off, why was no one moving? It was almost as if the humans were trapped in time. I glanced back at the clouds before my eye caught something. A dark figure outlined in the clouds. It's eyes glowed a deep red, almost like Darbuse's. I scanned the clouds a bit more before finally looking back at the figure, it's glowing eyes were now locked on me. I tried to look away but I couldn't. My thoughts became clouded and my eyesight blurry. A headache quickly came over my head. Red hue began to radiate from my eyes staining my vision red as well. What was happening to me? I anxiously tried to move but my body failed me. It was like something was keeping me in a tight grasp. I breathed heavily, I couldn't take much more of this.

Suddenly a red light flashed from the clouds and hurled towards me. There was nothing I could do. I watched as the light traveled towards me almost as if in slow motion.

"Myira. Get ahold of yourself!"

A familiar voice shouted, my left eye filling with pain.

"That thing is controlled by The Red Curse, and is practically unbeatable. You mustn't fall into it's hands."

"I- c-can't fi-fight, i-it." I managed to studder.

"You must." the voice said as my vision clouded with a piercing purple light.

I could move again! I looked away to blink my eyes and refocused myself on the cloud. The purple light radiated from my whole body now in the Symbol of Shadows. Time regained it's speed and I watched as the two lights collided, followed by a hallowing screech. I felt myself grow weak and allowed my body to fall into the water.

At the same time I jolted awake. I was, still in my room? I looked around. 'What happened?' I questioned myself. My whole body seemed tense. What did that dream mean? Why did it come to me in this way? I could feel worry grow within me. I was scared. Why was all this happening to me? I wanted to cry, but I held back my tears and got out of bed. After changing, I headed to the door. I was going to get answers, and I'm sure Grandmother Verazea would be able to help me.
