Unexpected But It Was Inevitable

'Being a president of so many companies, I sometimes just want to runaway," Amber couldn't help but complain in her mind.

She had been helping Snow Fall Hotel while SNN Beginnings started becoming an international company, two years ago, right after graduation.

Then there is also Capa, despite Jake France handling most of it, she was still the one who really was spearheading it.

With all these she actually felt like an old woman instead of a 23 year old lady.

"Earth to Amber, are you listening to me?" Leslie knocked on the table.

"I am, I am, I have been going around the country and even went to Oort Country, Meteoroid Country, Meteor Country and even Cruithne Country for the past two years. Let me rest a bit."

"Stop complaining in front of me, the most difficult country was Celestial and it was I who you sent to go there," Leslie retorted.

That's right, they were able to open a branch country in Celestial after six years of SNN's establishment. With Leslie as Yara and her as Pianist, they were able to advertise their products quite well.

Of course Pianist and Yara didn't appear in every product but to the major ones only.

She also noticed that there are more and more other entities trying to get through Pianist defenses. And some of them are quite persistent. There are multiple times where they almost lock on her.

"By the way, are you ready?" she remembered and asked Leslie.

"Do I have a choice? You are the owner but I am the CEO. Plus if I still don't appear in public, most people will think that the company is shady," Leslie nudged her glasses up as she check her tablet.

"Hehe," Amber could only laugh sheepishly.

"Don't be apologetic, I chose this as well. Plus this way is quite amazing. Our restaurant have bloomed quite well as well," Leslie looked up and said seeing her look.

"Why don't you come with me?" Amber finally asked.

"To Celestial? When I felt like it."

Amber shrugged, there was already a general manager in Celestial Country, both of them checked his background and he was clean. He was an IT major but had also the dual major of business management.

At the age of 26 he is quite capable already. His family was an owner of a mall in Celestial Country.

And if one is rich in Celestial, then one is very very rich in the other countries.

He explained when he came for the interview that he was watching how SNN is taking the whole technological world into another level.

Seeing that he was capable enough, he was then hired. He shall be the main face of SNN in Celestial Country.

"I just don't feel at ease with someone I barely knew. With everything that was going on, I'll have to speak with him sooner or later," Amber pouted.

Leslie couldn't help but laugh, this is something that never changed in Amber. She shows her disdain as long as she wanted or does not even try to befriend people whom she didn't like.

"Don't worry, if worse comes to worse, I will follow you there."

She had been grateful towards Amber, if she didn't find her, surely she wouldn't have the life she has now. Their restaurant wouldn't bloom this much either.

So in total, she was actually among the top five when it comes to being rich. SNN has given her that much opportunity and allowed her to fly as high as today.

Though she loves teasing Amber, when Amber really needed her, then she will surely fly to Celestial to accompany her.

"That's right, I will also be introducing myself as Yara for tomorrow's event. This will give the company more publicity."

"But I thought..."

"It's fine, Yara was able to become even more famous because of SNN. With this name, SNN will have better footing."

'Though if only you'd tell me who Pianist is and make him the face of the company instead, then that would have been better,' she added in her mind.

She didn't have any plans on telling this to Amber, she tried once but Amber only shook her head.

Amber, on the other hand, will be using Pianist more in the future. If she were to expose this identity then SNN will be the target of her enemies.

Just as Amber was about to open her mouth, her phone rang. Looking down, it was Ashley.

Upon seeing that it was still class hour, she frowned.

"Brat, you still have your class. Why-"

"Sister please help us."

She was cut short by Ashley's pleading and quivering voice.

Her frown grew deeper as the temperature around the room turned colder.

Leslie looked at her in confusion. She looked like she was about to go out and murder someone.

Ever since the beginning, not once have she seen Amber with this look.

She was cold when things regarding business turns to greed. But never the coldness of someone wanting to stain their hands with blood.

"I understand. Stay strong, I'll try my best to be there as soon as possible."

After hanging up, she looked up at Leslie.

"It seems I need to step out..."

*****

"Leslie you're too much. You never told us you were behind SNN. And you were even Yara at that," Reina complained.

They were suddenly invited for the annual celebration of SNN. Though confused, they happily accepted it.

To their surprise, it was actually their university friend who will be announced as the CEO of the most promising newly established company.

"Who in the world is Yara, she was second only to Shield when it comes to defenses. No wonder your products are very strong," Mikaela added.

"I didn't want to hide it from you. But you do know I was still young when the company started. People will look down at me if they find out," Leslie explained with an apologetic smile.

The three ladies were wearing evening gowns, matching the current event.

Leslie with her light yellow long sleeve off shoulder mermaid gown. That was sprinkled with what looked like diamonds allowing her to actually shine. Gave a very elegant and serious look.

Her black hair was twisted into a bun with a few strands falling on the side of her face, giving her a different mature look.

Her glasses was not even out of place for it accentuated her face frame.

With one look, anyone could tell that she really was the star of the show.

"Hmmm, in the end, Amber couldn't come? Is it because of her face?" Reina looked around.

"The mask? Come on she happily used it when she found out that her face could no longer be saved. She really just hated the crowd, remember?" Mikaela replied.

Leslie gave a sad smile before looking outside the window that was near them.

The moon and stars shone quite mesmerizingly tonight.

"You may not see her again though, she had finally left."

Reina and Mikaela were speechless, Amber did left hints that she was not staying in this country.

Not that they didn't expect it but that she didn't say goodbye.

"It was very urgent, she received a call yesterday from the one she always calls brat."

Up to this point, the three of them are still oblivious of Amber's real relationship to the Wright Empire.

"It seems that something terrible have happened. She booked the earliest flight to Celestial country after that call."

She looked back at them and saw their saddened look, well she too was greatly saddened by the suddeness of Amber's departure.

"Though she did ask me to say goodbye to the two of you. And that she had enjoyed our company. She also added that if we felt like it and had the time to visit Celestial Country, we can ring her up in order to meet."

"Well, she was a phoenix after all. She can't just stay in this small country, she needs to spread her wings in the big world," Reina sadly shook her head.

The three of them looked up at the sky with sad smiles on their faces.

This separation was unexpected but it was inevitable.

They could only wish for her to be fine no matter what she face.

The sky was cloudy without the hint of the sun, but rain was not coming down either.

She stood in front of his tombstone.

Wearing a white shirt, with black jersey jacket, coupled with black pants and high tops rubber shoes.

A black cap covering half of her face, hidden within was her chest nut colored hair.

The bill of the cap covering her masked face and her amber colored eyes within was filled with sadness.

She couldn't help but sneer as she look at the name.

"I have explained multiple times that he has a fragile heart, why must it be you who should let him experience it the first time? And in such a tragic death at that."

She took out a thermos and filled two paper cups of its hot content.

She placed one right in front of the tombstone.

The other one, she raised it as if having a toast with him.
