I make my friends by MY choice.

Ms. Nat was surprised by the noises coming in from the room. Never in her four years of working here did she hear her mistress this happy. If this was the case, the young master should have come sooner. Feeling happy in her heart and feeling reluctant to ruin their fun, she had no choice but to do so.

As they were chasing each other around in the room laughing and giggling, Ms. Nat knocked on the door.

Stopping from what they were doing, Yvenia answers to the person at the door. "You may come in."

Ms. Nat walks in.

"Young Mistress, the master and President Vu has finished their business. It's time for this young master to go and say our goodbyes to each other."

Both kids hearing these words quickly drop their happy expressions.

Ms. Nat, not knowing how to comfort these children could only feel pity for them.

---

Back into the living area.

As the kids arrived with solemn faces, the adults noticed and felt excited inside their hearts. This would be such a great opportunity to get what they wanted.Mr. Vu was the first to speak out to the children.

"Why the solemn faces?" Smirking at his son, he said "Are you so sad to leave Yvenia after spending hours with each other?"

Flustered he curses at his old man in his heart, knowing what he means. He couldn't help but stay silent. He truly did feel sad leaving.

Seeing his son's funny reaction, he decided to not pry into his business anymore.

"Since it's like that, you can come visit her anytime as long as it doesn't disturb your studies. Out of courtesy he asks "But, will that be okay with you Mr. Wu?"

"Of course. How could I prevent you guys from coming, afterall you're our newest contractor. I'm sure my daughter here would be delighted as well." He said, smiling as he took a glance at his daughter.

Elated with what he was hearing, Marked beamed at Yvenia.

It was getting late so they said their farewells and agreed to meet each other again the next day.

---

During the night, Ms. Nat came into Yvenia's room, informing her that her father wanted to meet her in his office. Thinking not much of it, Yvenia mentally prepares herself.

She arrives at his office and the scene of a man still in his prime has befallen before her.

Without noticing a small body has entered his room he continues to look down on the documents before him, his pen dancing on the paper using his very fingertips.

Awkwardly standing there, she finally decides to be the first to speak. "Hello father. May I ask you why did you call me in your office at this time of day?" she asks politely.

Stopping his writing, he looks at the little girl before him. For a while they stared at each other. Finally breaking the silence "I wanted to praise you for your hard work today." he smiles.

Getting suspicious she says "Is that all? There's more to it isn't it. Cut to the chase father. It's past my bedtime."

"You're truly indeed my daughter." he laughs. Getting serious, he changes his position with his hands linked together and under his chin. "As you may know, this contract with the Vu conglomerate is one of the biggest projects there is yet for the company. It was pretty tough securing the deal but you know your old man, he always manages." he says jokingly and smiles.

Not pleased with him taking his time chit chatting she urges him to continue. "And?"

Not surprised with his daughter's response he continues. "Now, it's your turn to do your part. As I just said, it was tough securing the deal. You know how Mr. Vu adores his son very much, I want you to continue being friends with him and satisfy his wishes." he points at his daughter as a smirk appears on his face.

"And why would I do that?" she glares at the despicable man before her.

Still smirking he simply answers "Easy. You know your silly little request? I can simply use that against you."

Turning livid "That's not a silly request, Father." Not wanting to be in the same room as him any longer she quickly says what needed to be done. "You don't need to tell me such things. I'm already friends with him on my own accord. Unlike you, I don't plan on making friends just for my personal gain." She left, slamming the door on him.

Smirking, he continues to do his paperwork.
