Revenge

Nothing goes what I want.

Ever since I was a child, I endured and sacrificed everything. I waited for so long that I was even amazed by my own patience. Every day was worse than yesterday. I forgot when was the last time I was happy.

The world is cruel, everywhere I go, it saddened me, they go against me.

I can't count how many times I asked: Why? Why me?

I worked hard and never say anything. It was for the sake of others. I gave everything for them.

If only I have no eyes to compare my life to others then I should've been ignorantly contented with my life. But no.

It was like they are intentionally making me jealous of their smile and happiness from their possession and life.

No, they are the ignorant ones. While I worked hard, they play but they still have the audacity to smile and laughed as if they deserved it.

They should just die already!

Where's my happiness? Where's mine? I thought if you worked hard. it will get repaid?

What have you done?

.....

No, I chose this. Maybe I'm the problem. Not the world, everything, and everyone that surrounds me but I am.

Maybe I don't see it but I was slacking off and was still not doing my best. Maybe I gave too much time in pitying myself, hating everyone, daydreaming how my patience and self-sacrifice will get rewarded, and crying that I wasn't really working hard that much.

Maybe I was too pessimistic...

My mother was loving and caring but my father was the opposite. He hates me, he never bothered to look after me or even to look at me as a son.

My father, the one who owns the house I lived in, the one who I will be with until I grow up was my monster. He was my nightmare that shows up every day. I feared him and hated him at the same time. I never saw him as a father.

But mom is different. She was my guardian, my carer, and my haven in my continuous nightmare that I thought I would never escape. I loved her so much that I took all my father's abuse and anger for her because, at the end of the day, she would be the one to take care of me and tend my wounds.

It was enough for me to appreciate it and forget all the times I cried.

However, that all broke down when I realized my mother loves my father more than I am. So much so that she would turn against me, her own child, for the sake of that monster.

But seeing her happy face made it worth it.

How stupid I am to think that my mother would eventually realize how I endured and sacrificed for her sake?

It didn't happen...

It got worse, in fact.

I don't know, but it seemed like when my mother and father got together again, I became an outcast of my own home. The only place where I should've been safe and happy.

Yes...

Imee was the only one who was at my side at that time. She befriended me even though I was all alone and weak. She even endured the bullying that comes along with befriending me.

But. of course, she eventually turned against me too.

I don't blame her for that. She was young, and it was my fault for ignoring reality for the sake of enjoying ignorance.

Maybe she was helping me out of guilt. Yes, that's why she helped me so much. Imee is truly too kind...

So it was my fault. I realized it just now.

I thought that as long as I endured and waited, happiness will eventually come to reward my sacrifice and hard work,

But no.

I never did a thing.

I just stood there and endured it.

What sacrificed? What hard work? I did no such thing!

I was just too scared to do it, to fight back against them, to get what I want!

I was already at the very bottom with nothing with me. I was beaten up, mocked at, played at, and pitied every time I get the chance to take a step!

All I could do is wish and wish!

Even when it seemed like it was nothing to me. Even if it always happens to me. Even if it seemed like I was accustomed to it. Even if I wasn't saying anything or doing anything about it. It hurts! IT FUCKING HURTS!

I cry too!

Every time you punched me, kicked me, mocked me, scorn at me, and pity me, I cry!

Why is it so fun to torture me? To disgrace me? To laugh at my pain?

I could never understand them...

Was what I thought. Now I understand, even if a little.

I just have to fight back. Show I am not just a nobody that you can toy around.

I'll show the world. I'll show everyone. I'll show those who hurt me. I can fight back!

Nothing goes what I want so then, I'll just get what I want.

I cannot get any lower. There's nothing to lose. I've already endured the worst, what would I be scared at?

I've literally died a few times already! What can scare me? What can hurt me? What can oppose me?!

If I'm weaker, I'll just get stronger. If not then I will die in dismay and in regret.

Imee, I will definitely repay you. I will definitely take you. I will definitely win you.

This is my resolve, stronger than what I could ever will.

I will stop wishing and will start acting. I should've fought back a long time ago. I was the biggest problem of my life, heh. Staying silent and passive all the time. No wonder everyone gets to me.

But now, I know.

I will overcome this all. I will not let anyone take it what I want from me.

Mom, Dad, see who you're son will become. I will not turn a failure because of you. I will not lose at life. I can do more and win this. This is my revenge.

Imee, if what you're dad had said is the truth, I will be the one at your side, the one who will protect at all times. Even if my feelings and gratitude will not get to you. Even if someday, your guilt was satisfied and disappeared, I will always be there.

World...

[It's my turn now.]

.....

The black sky was being dyed in red, orange, then blue. The stars disappeared and the moon hid behind the sunlight.

Greg, Rea, Bardock, and the other disciples had their jaws dropped at the sight of the Master bleeding, their faces were purple, some dark, and some paled.

And the youngster had a darkened face as he carried the strongest man in Fellnigh from their battleground now in rubbles. Stepping from pebbles to fragments and climbing over the broken ceiling of the underground and jumping onto the plain ground.

The crowd of disciples subconsciously gave the youngster to walk as they took a step back including Greg and the other two direct disciples under the gateway.

Their monster of a master got defeated by this youngster. They thought they had seen everything in the world but they were wrong.

But the youngster did not continue to walk forward but crouched down and gently brought down Ernanfo.

It was surreal for the disciples. Worrying about their Master? That was the first. They just couldn't emotionally process how they could worry about the superhuman they call master. Would they need to take care of him? How? How do you treat the wounds of a superhuman?

However, their bodies jerked as they sensed a glare. They looked and saw that Ernanfo already had his eyes narrowly open as he glanced at them.

No one knew what to do.

But Greg was the first one to ran to their Master and everyone followed.

"I'm fine," he whispered as he weakly pushed Greg away.

Greg's face turned purple, 'Master, weak, how?' he was so shocked that his thoughts didn't know how to say it.

Ernanfo looked at the sky, "Crazy strong... huh..." he whispered again before sitting up and then standing. At first, he was struggling to keep his balance but eventually, after taking a few deep breaths, he had stabilized his footing.

He looked at Renir in the eyes and smiled, "Looked like you somewhat got what I was saying."

"....." Renir just looked at the ground, still deep in his thoughts. But his expression was not of in a daze, but somewhat determined.

"... and I forgive you." Ernanfo waved his hands, "Don't worry about it now, past is past. Although you better not do it again... without me knowing... I finished training my martial arts thirty years ago. You still haven't seen me using a weapon and especially, firearms. I can kill you anytime if you want." he laughed.

Renir couldn't help but be so surprised that he was awakened from his thoughts, 'He still has something more?' and looking at his disciples' expression, it doesn't seem like he was joking.

"I wouldn't want that, Sir."

"Hm, my name's Ernanfo. Still don't know the name of your love's father? Pathetic." he mocked again and after a pause, "Call me Uncle Ernanfo if you want. But don't you dare call me father, bastard." Ernanfo's expression was relaxed even though he was smiling in mockery.

However, Renir seemed accustomed to Ernanfo's way of speaking and nodded, "Okay... Uncle Ernanfo."

"Hm, go now. Talk to Imee at school and decide a place to live, no matter the cost as long as it's far away from Imee's apartment, I will take care of it. I have too much money I don't need after all."

Renir's eyes widened and bowed, "Thank you, Uncle!"

Ernanfo nodded and turned around as he took another stick of cigarette. The disciples followed him in silence. Still not knowing what to do so they waited for his commands.

He flicked his fingers thrice before he got that fire that lit up his stick and took a smoke. The blood from his broken fist made it hard for him to create that little fire.

'Gantlet, huh... Renir, I wish you can protect Imee. I live this way for her sake. If you can truly be trusted and can make her happy, then I don't care going against the whole Fellnigh and STATOS.'

"Huu~~..." Ernanfo blew a smoke before his face darkened, "Now, how to explain this to the boss?"

They stared at the broken dojo that was swallowed whole by the underground.
