⭒PIECE OF EVIDENCE

He knew no great fear until he saw her body. Cold. Pale. Unmoving. With his heart on his throat, he run to where she was lying and rushed to her side and knelt on the ground. His fingers trembled as he touched her wrist to check her pulse. She was so cold and he feared the worse as he pressed his fingers to her skin.

What if she's dead? He questioned himself since he did not know how to react if his fear came to life.

He let go the breath he was not aware he was holding aftering feeling the beat of her pulse. Uncontrolled tears fell from his eyes as if a deep thorn was pulled from his chest.
