First Lesson.

The endless clouds in the sky had darkened the surroundings and, along with the dark shadow cast by the colossus body of the Bixi, it was almost like night. However, it wasn't their biggest worry.

Even if Aiden was afraid of the Bixi, that monster had no intention of attacking the puny human. But that doesn't mean it will let them go.

They couldn't see from a distance, but they could see a few shadows jumped down from the back of the Bixi and started to chase them.

It was a pack of seven ice wolves. The wolves were very similar to the Bixi. The two-metre-high wolves, with their backs covered with jagged ice, looked more like porcupines, yet their agility spoke for themselves.

"Those are the totemic beasts of the Bixi. The jagged wolf." As Aiden escaped the range of Bixi's shadow, Mraz whispered in his mind. There wasn't a lot of distance between him and Robin, but it was natural that Robin couldn't hear Mraz.

"What are we going to do about those? There isn't a lot of distance between these wolf monsters and us." Robin's voice was full of worry.

"Keep running." Aiden looked back to find that the distance between the predator and prey had dropped to just a hundred meters.

'Are there more wolves on its back?' Looking at the jagged wolves that jumped down from the back of the Bixi, he was curious. Even if he was afraid, he wanted to know the answer.

"The number is higher than the number of people in the giant city you've been living in."

'More than the number of humans in the stronghold #11? That…' Aiden sighed in his heart. And if that wasn't shocking enough, Aiden wasn't sure whether or not the forces on this planet have a way to combat the giant Bixi.

"And not all of them are as weak as those wolves." Mraz's voice was serious, but soon he added with a sigh of relief, "But they aren't coming for you."

'That's right. First, I have to take care of the wolves.' Aiden glanced back to find that that giant Bixi was walking the other way while shaking the entire land, and the wolves were just fifty meters away from them.

"Continue to run. Gain an appropriate distance and set up the gun. Assist if possible." Aiden's order was clear and concise, but Robin was expecting it. Not at least from the person who made him a slave. But it wasn't like he could disobey the order, and so he kept on running.

"Direct your mana to mana space and activate the obelisk." By the time Mraz commanded him, Aiden was running towards the Wolves with an endless stream of ice mana gushing inside his mana space.

Yet those beasts, driven by instinct and powered by the totemic mana, were far superior in fighting ice than Aiden.

As soon as Aiden reached about twenty meters near them, the ground shook again, and a giant ice spike that had come out of the snow had devastated the place where Aiden was standing a moment ago. It wasn't just one ice spike, but dozens of ice spikes massacred the entire area.

However, it hit nothing but air. Aiden appeared behind the pack of wolves, but they reacted like they were expecting it. The four of the wolves turned around and surrounded Aiden, while the rest of the three of the wolves continued to charge at Robin.

'Are they aiming for Robin?' It shocked Aiden for a moment, yet it didn't stop his body from reacting. The next moment he appeared with a giant scythe, and one swing was enough to cut the wolf in half.

'Isn't that too easy?' Aiden didn't spare a glance to the aftermath and moved to evade the jaw that was aiming for his head. With another swing of the scythe, he sliced the wolf in half, and the two parts of the ice chunk fell on the snow. And two more wolves came out of the ground.

"Ice clone." Mraz's words explained the lack of blood and he continued, "And if you don't move soon, your little slave will die."

Even if Mraz didn't say it out loud, Aiden was already expecting it. He put all of his mana on his leg and vanished. However…

Awwwwooooooo

The howl of the wolf shook the entire world, and blood splattered everywhere. Aiden gritted his teeth and rolled across the snow while dying the ground red.

Looking at the blood-dyed paw of the wolf, all Aiden could do was to direct his mana to his back, freezing the wounds that were leaking out blood. However, what shocked him the most was that the beasts could keep up with Aiden while his agility exceeded 200…

"What are you thinking? Will they be like the weak beasts of that primitive plane? All the wolves are three circle beasts. Unlike that ice troll, these beasts are faster and live to kill in packs. On the top of that…"

Aiden couldn't just stay still and listen to Mraz's explanation. And with constant attacks from all sides, he didn't dare to deactivate his [Zone], yet wounds were piling upon his body. No matter how fast he moved, Aiden could not escape the fangs and claws of the wolves.

"That won't do." Mraz sighed inside his heart and said, "Let me deal with them."

Before Aiden could respond, his body was already out of his control. He stood up and stared at the giant jaw that was a few inches away from his face. He raised his hand, and *Boom*

[Author's note: From this point, Mraz controlled Aiden's body and Aiden's consciousness had returned to his mana space.]

There was no notification from ESS, but a sharp ice spike shot out of the ground and impelled the wolf into the middle of the air. "I have understood one thing from your struggle with those dwarves. Your way of fighting is useless against many enemies," He said as he wiped off the blood of his face.

Aiden wasn't sure whether it was because his body was talking to himself or Mraz's action genuinely scared the wolves, that the wolves kept growling from a distance, but didn't dare to attack.

"Let me show you how you do it." Mraz raised his hand over his hand as he spoke, "Remember this feeling. That's how you gather mana outside the body."

As he spoke, ice mana began to gather above his head. Observing the pieces of ice shards that were forming above his head, the wolves didn't dare to wait any longer and lunged at him.

"Did you feel it?" However, Mraz didn't care about the actions of those beasts, and he continued explaining, "All you need to do is control the essence-mana outside your body. The essence-less mana around you will come to it like bees to a flower. Then all you need to do is mould it as you wish."

And with the flick of his hand, all the three shards of ice that had formed above his head accelerated towards the wolves. Two of the wolves dodged the shards, but the third one stuck at one wolf's leg. However, it was another ice clone.

'Essence mana? The mana of the obelisk?' Aiden asked from inside.

Aiden's body nodded, as Mraz said, "it is like the core, a queen bee, and all the essence-less mana around it will obey it as worker bees." As he spoke, the body's movement began to get faster.

This time, six of the ice shards were thrown, while another nine of ice shards had already formed above his head. The ice shards hit their marks and destroyed another set of ice clones.

However, Mraz was not at all worried about that. The nine shards of ice continued to float above his head as he spoke again, "Do you think you can hide from me?"

With the signal from his hand, the earth shook, and the ice tentacles dragged out all the three wolves from the ground.

"You can see that as long as you can control and mould your mana enough, no shape will be a problem for you," Mraz said with pride.

Aiden kept looking at the struggling wolves. For a moment, he felt that those ice tentacles had a life of their own.

Awwwooooooo

But before Aiden could ask how those ice tentacles could be elastic and hard at the same time, the howls of the wolves resonated with each other. And the next thing he knew that the wind had grown stronger.

Yet Mraz looked at the wolves and laughed. "Do you think this simple [Blizzard] spell could stop me?" He raised his hand in the air and gripped something out of thin air.

Although there was nothing inside his fist, the raging wind died. The snow, carried by the violent wind, remained afloat in the air for a moment before it fell under the influence of gravity.

"Listen Aiden, the core of all the spells is maintained by the mana essence of the caster, and as long as you can destroy or even interrupt the essence mana, the spell will break."

With his words, the ice shards, which were floating above his head, attacked the wolves and destroyed the wolves and the tentacles.

"But that will be impossible for you now." Mraz understood the problem of his suggestion as he ran towards Robin, "Let's just stick to controlling the essence mana outside the body and moulding different shapes."

When he found Robin, an ice jagged wolf had already pushed Robin down, and he was bleeding from all over his body. He used his sniper gun to stop the jaw clamp down on his throat, but even that wasn't much help at all.

However, with a flick of Aiden's finger, a couple of ice tentacles latched onto the wolf's hind leg and hung it upside down. It caught the wolf off-guard, but before it could free itself, the tentacle continued to slam the helpless wolf's body on the ground until it couldn't breathe anymore.

"What are you?" But even before Robin could sit back up or Aiden could check on him, Mraz was already controlling a sharp shard of ice on the throat of Robin.

"Don't tell me a weak beast like you could hurt a beast with three mana circles, let alone kill it." Only after Aiden heard Mraz's serious words did he realize that the other two wolves that attacked Robin were already dead.

And it wasn't just dead, something had destroyed the bodies. Their belly burst open as if something had burst out of their bellies. Seeing those deformed bodies, even Aiden had to take another look at Robin, who was at the mercy of the ice shard.
