The SK Council

Together with his childhood friend named Adrian Bajkal, the two went on their way to the SK Council room.

"We're here."

The moment, Adrian opened the door and the two of them entered, eyes of the people who are seemingly in a conversation just now were glued onto Sano.

"Welcome, SK Chairman."

Then a young woman with an angelic voice welcomed Sano right away.

"Kyouka."

The girl that called out to Sano before everyone else is named Kyouka Cortez. Or is known by the people in Brgy. Silangan as Kyouka Amagi. Among the 10 people that are inside this room right now, Kyouka, Adrian and another girl are the first three friends of Sano in his first grade in elementary section. Thus, making her and the two others the closest of the closest friends of him.

Only Kyouka's friends and relatives knows about it, but she is the only daughter of the two well-known personalities in the world.

Her Father is a Super Model and an Actor that was nicknamed as the "The World's Most Beautiful Man". It is said that he can bewitch any woman that looks at him in the eye. Meanwhile, Kyouka's Mother is a renowned Voice Actress in Japan that was given the name, "Siren". Though it is short, this single word speaks volumes to the people who've heard the incredible talent hidden within her voice. Some reporters who once interviewed her claimed that if she feel like it, she can make anyone, make it a man, a woman or even the elderly to kneel down before her just so they could hear her voice.

As someone who is the only daughter of the two well known personalities in the world, Kyouka find it hard to deal with people flocking over her because of her parents' popularity. And so, when she decided to stay in the Philippines, she used her Mother's maiden name to hide her identity to the people that are die-hard fans of her Mother and Father. So far, she's been living a normal life of a normal Junior high graduate student with her Father's parents' residence in the mountainlands of Silangan San Mateo Rizal.

"Quite an unsual morning to see you being the one to arrive last."

"It's more unusual to see you going ahead instead of waiting for me outside your house like you always do everytime we have school.."

Looking at Kyouka in the eyes, Sano remembered what Gilbert and his girlfriend told him earlier. It is no exaggeration that Kyouka inherited both her Father and Mother's special traits.

She's got an amazing figure for a 15 year old lady, bust that has the appropriate size for her age, long legs. She also got a smooth skin and a silky long black hair that extends down to her waist, an innocent looking face. And, she's got a round, charming black eyes and a voice that can entice anyone. Everything about her is a screaming imitation of her Mother and Father combined.

But despite her amazing features, Sano never once had any romantic feeling towards Kyouka, whatsoever. If anything, Sano thinks that the both of them sees each other as a very close childhood friend and nothing else.

"Why don't you take a seat."

"That, I will do."

As the girl offered, Sano sat on the empty seat that is specifically placed in front of a desk for him as the SK Chairman. While Sano is taking his time enjoying the relaxing sensation the leather office chair is giving him, a hand placed a sheet of paper on his desk.

"This is..." Asked, Sano as he picked up the paper with his left hand.

"A list of things to do that the former SK Council has left for us." The girl responded as she fixed her eye-glasses. "I asked them about things that we can do as practice so that once we decide to make our own activities, we will be more than prepared. But..."

Her name is Lisa Samson. One of the three friends that Sano met in his first grade. A half Filipino and Chinese descent. She's a serious type of girl with a serious looking eyes paired with reading glasses she often wear and use when she's reading things online or in a book. She has a short black hair, and has a purple highlight that sticks out from her left bangs, she also possess a perfect height and a slim build for her age.

Adrian and the others often say that she could compete with Kyouka who always stands out with everything she wears if Lisa started wearing more feminine clothing. She could be a model if she so wanted to. But Lisa rejected their opinion, saying that she has no interest in doing something that will attract unwanted attention. Aside from liking a casual attire, much like the SK uniform they are wearing, Lisa has a habit of reading and knowing unusual things that no person in their generation would normally know and read. Because of her unusual knowledge to things, Sano often comes to her and ask for things he himself is uncertain of.

"You always think ahead just like you always do, Lisa." Sano proceeds to read the content of the paper. "But we're not doing anything written in this paper. I'm sorry for wasting your time making them write these for us."

"I tho- no, we figured you'd say that." Lisa took back the paper in Sano's grasp and proceeded to look at it with a contemptuous smile before throwing it into the trashcan at the corner of the SK room after she mishmash the paper into a ball.

Sano rejected the paper that was shown to him. And even without pointing it out, the whole SK council knew exactly the reason behind his decision.

"It's common practice for SK members that when submitting a proposal to an objective, one must give each of the entire SK council the data containing every little detail of the said objective, it's purpose and the means that must be made to achieve that purpose." The remark of the man with a laptop on top of the table he's using was heard by everyone, including Sano.

"I thought that the SK council was formed to enhance social, political, economic, cultural, intellectual, moral, spiritual and physical development of the youth. The first time I read that list, it felt as though I was talking to someone in a choppy, broken radio and I couldn't understand whatever the hell the person is saying. I know that they're no longer the SK council that does these things for the rest of their term, but at the very least, they should have shown what they learned for the three years that they've been in their position."

"It's not like they didn't learn anything at all, it's just that they never bothered learning anything at all." The girl with a short orange hair responded while twirling her tongue on the lollipop she's swallowing. She took the lollipop out of her mouth and added: "But that's not the only problem inside that paper, right?"

The first time the new SK council read the sheet of paper, it was clear that whoever wrote those line of events and activities didn't put an effort into making it. But the real issue still lies inside that paper. And that, Lisa begin to point out.

"Putting aside their laziness into writing that thing, I like how they greatly emphasize that the money we allotted from the fundraising activities should be given to the Barangay captain before we could use it to the people who we raised it for."
