A New Game is Afoot  

Around the same time as Ath3na and her team went up against Morrigan, Sage was moving swiftly across the mountain path with very little difficulty. She was used to this kind of trek which reminded her of days under the hot Afghan sun while decked in full battle gear. Unfortunately, her companion was lagging way behind. 

She glanced over her shoulder, "Are you alright, doc?" 

Dr. Morrow was whizzing next to a tall pine about five yards away from her. His thumb was up. 

"Just catching… my breath… dear," he gasped. 

How this man could last all night in bed with her and have difficulty in a hike was something Sage would never understand. She guessed some men just weren't built for the outdoors, even ones inside a supposedly virtual game. 

"Catch your breath when we're dead, doc," she told him. "We're on a clock…" 

"O-of course," Dr. Morrow sighed. "Coming…"
