Haha, just imagining if it showed up on the news how a 7 year old killed a level 700 noble. It just fills me with anticipation. Anyway going back to the present, I was back in the dungeon "harab" at the level 900 section.
Running through the rocky dark landscape, I fling my shadow daggers with a flick of the risk, decapitating the distant crystal wyverns. Raising my left arm, [manipulate shadow] activated and stakes rose out of the ground impaling everything in sight. Turning on [Stealth-tier 4], [Ambush-tier 5] and [Sneak-tier 5] was activated, raising my attack and agility by 45% each. Flipping over another crystal wyvern, I walked towards my next victim as it's head slides off.
With the help of the research team, they managed to enhance my [Lesser void beam] to [void beam] after the 1 week of grinding I did. What this meant was that it no longer used my mana, it took mana from the atmosphere instead which means that I could open the rift and shoot destructive energy as much as I want. Doing a test run, even the cave walls were vaporised as all the monsters in the vicinity only caught a glimpse of light before disappearing from this world.
Using [Shadow step], tier 4 allowed me to teleport around on "solid shadow" with a 1 second cool down. Appearing behind the crystal behemoth, I placed my foot on it's back before activating [Shadow step]. The anti-gravity effect was severely amplified, the huge 4 metre tall crystal behemoth was blown to a distance away. Impaling it with a shadow stake from a distance, I continue to look for my next victim.
Testing my [Summon undead] and [summon demon], as the name implies, familiars that share the same level as me manifested. How many of them depended on my mana and how strong they are depended on my intelligence stat and my level. Summoning 3 undead paladins, one of them sacrificed their body to block a monster that had [stealth] activated while the other 2 kept stabbing the monster that got their claw stuck in their comrade.
I should probably practice commanding them as well. To be honest I just wanted to watch my familiars gang on a monster, I still gain experience and practice so it didn't hurt me to try. Spending half my mana pool, 5 lesser demon archers and 7 more undead paladins materialised. Commanding the undead paladins to form a wall and the archers to focus on one target, I sat there amused by this new form of entertainment.
One new skill I learned from the 1 week of grinding was setting up traps. It can be as simple as setting a transparent magic circle on the ground. I say it was simple, but it took an hour or 2 to make the circuits in the circle actually function like they are suppose to. Basically, it sends a mana pulse that fries the insides of the monster when stepped on, I guess it is similar to electrocution but it passes through the skin and heads for the organs inside. Unlike electricity, mana can pass through anything and effecticely just stops things from moving. After a while the monsters just dispersed from lack of mana as if it was dead, funneling experience to me while I sleep.
There was one time where it looked quite ominous as there was a decent set of armour and sword on the ground along with a large puddle of blood. Some guy probably accidentally stepped on it, the circle stop the person's brain from working and killed him, then some monster took the corpse away and possible ate it. It was only effective because I plant them everywhere around the dungeon, after one night I gained 43 levels.
Lunging forward in the dungeon, while teleporting with [shadow step], I turned [Stealth] on to activate the bonus skills, [ambush] [sneak] [Definite blow] [Killing blow] [Swift strike] [Deep slash] [Cursed cut] [Deceit blow] [Decapitate] [Execute]. The total combined enhanced my strength by 30 times and my speed by 3.7 times. Twirling the shadow dagger in my right hand, I formed a scythe in my left hand with [manipulate shadow].
Testing out my scythe mastery, I spun my body around as I slashed everything in sight, [Cursed cut] made it so even if the enemy survived, there would be this [cursed] effect. Apparently it was so strong that when I accidentally slashed the dungeon wall with the scythe, it started melting. Done with testing my abilities, I left the dungeon in search of a restaurant to have dinner at before looking for a shop that sells magic gems. I need to stock up on ammo before taking my revenge after all.
Walking back towards the dorm, I decided to stroll at a normal walking pace since I got the chance to rest my mind and have a break from the daily grind. Other than the giant fortress in the distance, the area around was actually a mix of a residential and commercial area. There were small shops around selling snacks, but I just had dinner so I was quite full. The salary I get from the tsumond clan was quite satisfactory and allowed me to live a decent life even if I did nothing.
It had been a month since I visited the mage's association. I should probably visit the capital branch. Confirming the location on a map, I used [Shadow step] to teleport into the reception area. Walking to the counter, I asked for directions before going to the resource department. Looking through the catalog before deciding, I decided to borrow some interesting books that held good information on magic components. I wonder if anything inside could help with my vengeance.
Walking back out of the mage's association, I used [shadow step] to go back to where I was last at. Walking towards the dormitory, I could hear familiar voices in the distance.
"This is the 3rd time you've asked this question, miss Fez. Lily is probably just spending their weekend relaxing or training somewhere, we don't have the right to disturb them since it is not their work hours right now." (Butler A)
"W..w..what?!? This is not the third time! Hmph!" (Fez)
Oh ho~? Looks like someone misses me. Did that episode at the beach make her addicted to my cuteness? Hehe~ That is fine as well, I guess I could take some time out of tonight to spoil her before resting.
Since she can detect [Stealth] [Illusion] and utilise [mana detection], why not just teleport in with [Shadow step]? Manifesting behind her, I immediately grabbed her shoulders and shouted out "Boo! ~~"
"Wa!"(Fez)
"I heard you missed me." I gave a smirk as her face distorts in embarrassment.
"Aww, why are you hesitating now~ I'm finally here to spend time with you."
"Fine~ fine~, let's go chat in my room, mouuu~" (Fez)
Walking back together was also fun. Back in her room, at first I was nervous. 'uhehe~ this is a girls room', but those thoughts were immediately dismissed as I realised I was a girl as well. Not that it gets in the way of fun~ I had been busy grinding for the past week, so I told her of a few adventures that I had and also listened to her talk about her activities this past week. Apparently she had sparring practice with one of her butlers once a week and the other days were either spent reading a book, lazing around or shopping.
Naturally I told her about my new class and learned that her class was dark lord, which sounded bad at first but it was just following a pattern. The heir of the other great families also have their classes where the element was the first word followed by lord, for example Jessald was a water lord. So all of them sounded equally bad, but apparently people in the past liked it.
