He could just 'borrow' any more skills if I came up and used them, plus there was also the fact that I couldn't perceive reality properly. He had turned my debuffs against me. Ah, even if he stole 'wrath' it wouldn't matter. He could see my look of realisation as he grew wary. A grin shows up on my face subconciously.
"So it's back to the old days huh. The only difference is that I'll be using my fist instead of my daggers."
"What? What could you possibly do in that state? What was the point of telling me what you were going to do?" (Veilcry)
His raspy voice echoed in the surroundings as my heartbeat grew louder out of excitement. This excitement...was the excitement for battle! How long has it been such a battle? About a year and a half! Thinking of my reply, I calmed myself down before vocalising my thoughts.
"What was the point? To have fun!"
Pushing 'wrath' to the max, I froze time as I removed my debuffs by rewinding time, they weren't technically debuffs so I had to rewind the time of the surroundings as well and the whole world. Only Veilcry was untouched since I wanted him to remember our short exchange. Letting time run again, I stomped my right leg into ground, creating a massive crater inside Veilcry's small territory. Due to the strange meat wall in the surroundings, no one could detect us except for 2 boss monsters fighting in the middle of the forest. It was a perfectly normal occurrence, the wall was even protecting the outsides from our battle.
The after shock of the stomp left shock waves that bounced off the walls, heating up the inside till the point of the air detonating with the force of numerous nuclear explosions. All of it happened while an excited grin stayed plastered over my face. Stretching every muscle and body function to the max, wavelike power was radiating out with me at the centre. My hair shook in the air with the shockwaves going at it while I formed a barrier out of pure mana and he formed a similar barrier out of a durable transparent material. At this point the explosions would last a while, so with [omni detection] to guide us, we fought as if the particles in the air didn't exist. I could swear diamonds were falling and getting disintegrated.
Disappearing the next seond, I swung my leg down as it collided with his transparent barrier. The impact completely blew my leg off and disintegrated it but my [immortality] kicked in to regenerate.
"You think you could hide behind space huh? As far as I know, there have been many near-indestructible barriers presented before me. If I can't go through it, I just have to ignore it."
Of course it wasn't a literal analogy, he was wrapped completely around by a barrier, it covered every angle so I couldn't exactly 'ignore it' and go around the wall. No, what it meant was to bypass space as if it doesn't exist, in other words, teleportation. Using [shadow step], I opened a rift big enough for a person to enter outside and inside Veilcry's little barrier. The explosions made it inside before being abruptly ended. Awful timing huh.
Dispelling my own barrier, I wrapped myself in a layer of mana. With experienced steps, I lunged forward with all my strength. Veilcry placed another barrier to block the rift in space, but I've already decided to make a new one. Disappearing in an instant, I struck my left fist into Veilcry's body. Shit...he had wrapped a thin layer of material on himself to deflect the blow. In exchange for my attack, a strange tendril was pierced through my throat. I had [immortality] so I was completely fine albeit uncomfortable while my right hand was holding Veilcry's neck.
I could give up here and reincarnate in a new body since this body was already weak, but this was my one chance to kill him! The strange tendril disabled any form of regeneration, but my body's time had already been frozen shortly after to stop blood lost. [Immortality] was barely able to keep my conscious together while my blood flow was stopped. Gugh! I won't stop here!
Concentrating all my strength into my arms while pumping destructive mana into it Veilcry's head, I struggled to focus.
"Tch! I need your power to defeat the demon lord! [Final hit:red flower]! " (Veilcry)
A crimson puddle drips into the ground before engulfing the whole field in a second. Whatever it was, it wasn't good.
" [Final hit:torn logic]! Too bad, I'll have to fight him for you. "
Returning back to where it came from, the 'red flower' stopped blooming and instead went into the opposite reaction, Veilcry. Wrapping around him and infiltrating like a parasite, it consumed any form of energy present in his body. Including the energy that held his body together on the atomic level.
"No! He is making his move after a thousand years! He can't be defeated even by the likes of you! So you have to give me your power! And King Bavner's as well!!" (Veilcry)
He dissipated back into air as a mix of substances splatter on the ground making a gruesome sight. Picking up the ring, I took it off the ground and kept it. I think my subordinate would put it to better use considering I already have [Abyss control] for territory creation.
Name: Lust
Effect: can raise vitality to 400 x and strength to 200 x . [Special:can control matter at lv 100]
Teleporting back with [Shadow step], "Catch!" I threw the ring towards my subordinate Yuuki. She has an affinity for the earth element so she should be able to put good use to it. Since she has pretty much done everything she could with the earth element, the ability to add properties to matter should let her creativity run wild. Despair painted over the enemies' faces as they recognise the piece of article that Yuuki received.

1 minute earlier,
Geisha squatted on the rock as he stared down at the students in the campsite, his level was 3000 as he hit his level cap wielding a commandment. He stood there menacingly while his gold monocle gleamed in the sunlight making a contrast with his black suit. The other 4, Kirs, Veur, Hruk and Diuk were casually standing by on both his sides, waiting for his command.
Even with [Herculean strength] and [Herculean strength] stacked, James still had both his strength and agility beat 10 times by the average stat of the new intruders. These past few months, he had worked to the point of exhaustion, yet he was only level 800 and couldn't beat his main rival, Emily.
It was extremely abnormal to be level 800 at the age of 13,that was usually the level of promising adventurers that could possibly become a general in this kingdom, only reached when people were basically old men and had spent a life time of leveling. But he had still went through with his conviction, broken through the norm, and became level 800, yet he still couldn't beat Emily no matter how much he tried. That was just how much of an anomaly Emily was. It was as if Emily had the most spirit in the world, to achieve the position where she was at, at the top few of the world.
