Swinging my scythe with all my strength, I haven't felt this exhilaration in a while. The blurred figure blocks with his arms by holding them up in a defensive position. Cracks form on my scythe as I continue my onslaught. Enhanced by [reality displacement], [true death] and [fate lock], I continue to shower swing after swing. Up until now especially with the [demon king], it had been a battle up to skills. Physical prowess didn't matter if you could use a skill and kill the enemy in an instant.
Using 'wrath', I sped up my movements while applying [death] on every possible defense. Scratches start to form on the blurred arms of the figure. Cracks formed followed by chunks being thrown away. Everytime I use [death], energy is converted to remove the existence of something. Sometimes the energy would go through recoil and part of my soul would get affected by [death]. It was why I didn't use it much, it was rather sparingly. But now I don't have that luxury. I will throw everything away if it means becoming the strongest!!
Stretching my left leg forward, I swung my scythe will all my force. [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death][death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] [death] Everytime they've been stopped by [the one that moves all], but I could keep going forever.
Hacking, slashing, chanting, hacking, slashing, stabbing, swinging, plunging, chanting. Very soon fatique will take over one of us soon. Moving physically will never drain us, but using magic or skills is mentally taxing on the soul. Incredibly soon, sheer pain will assault and sear the brain. No... That will never happen for eternity, as people in the SS-tier we could probably go on for eternity. So which of us will win? Which of us have the deeper resolve? I have absolutely no intention of letting up for a second.
".....ll"(?)
"Huh?"
"....ill"(?)
"What? "
"Kill.... Kill all origin class wielders....., you have been deemed a threat.... Prepare to die. I am [The Sage], and you are an enemy of the world." (s)
The exact same line as the witch, no... It's a little different this time, but it's pretty much the same. Some unknown person is affecting origin class wielders. So why is it happening? It can't matter anymore than this in my mind, or I would be distracted and die from a mere stray attack. Something like this... An outsider influence... Something like these would be too weak to compare to my resolve.
"Don't underestimate me!"
Activating [Conquest], I split my multiple souls into different entities. Each of them casting [death] on the enemy. And the next one uses [Conquest] to multiply, and more will appear to cast [death]. Can he dodge this exponentially growing rate of [death]?
"You... You took everything from me!!" (?)
"Who?!"
"Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!" (%#=&) "-$=)
The [Sage]... That thing isn't human... Even if it was stated before that an origin class wielder isn't human, that thing still looks plenty horrible. The blur lifted off to reveal a moshpit of faces, dreaded faces of all the victims I've killed. Everyone... Was there. Even... Dad? The father I've only met for roughly a few weeks in this world, he treasured me a lot for the 6 years my memories weren't here, so... I have to repay back everything. Even if he doesn't wish for it, I'll still find a way to give back. Because for some reason I could just tell... , my destiny killed him. Why else would he be here in that monster? But the present is the present, right now wasn't the time to falter so easily.
Freezing my movements for a second in shock had led to a wave of my clones getting obliterated. Even after all that he has plenty of strength left to play huh? Did he think his identity would freeze me up? It was very fortunate, my resolve has finally hardened to the limit in this battle. Let's decimate him like how I said I would.
It felt like I had developed a collective swarm, there was nothing there but I was able to read the thoughts of my clones. Was it because we were all the same person? Well no matter, if they were truly me then they should arrive at the same conclusion. One by one, there rang out sounds of something heavy dropping and rattling on the floor. One by one, the clones dissolve into mana and flow back into my body.
Even if they were just my own, I was playing with lives here. Flowing into me were multiple chains of gold that continue to grow as more clones dispersed. Every inch of chain felt like a mountain was digging into my flesh, assaulting my psyche to the limit. But something like this... Is no match for my resolve!
An infinite amount of chains flow around freely in the surroundings. How long has it been since the start of the battle? A few hours? Days? Weeks? Every single chain sent me a different answer telepathically, it really didn't help as it continued to add pressure, now both mentally and physically. But to deal with this pressure... I'll just have to keep moving! Past the speed of light, to the maximum!
Before I knew it, the chains had finally disappeared from view, but I knew they would just remanifest if I stop moving. Fortunately, this time I won. Sacrificing an infinite amount of lives, having the will to sacrifice myself for myself!!!! Back when I just started in this world, I had no idea what was going on and had to look for as much information as possible, but now I think I've obtained at least one truth of the world.
The soul is just a sentient clump of mana that anchors itself into the world. When defeating a monster, part of its soul is absorbed by ours in the form of "experience", this subsequently strengthens our soul to absurd limits. Using [Conquest], I can freely multiply the number of my souls without any penalties, and then what if I converted all of those into power?
At this point , I had basically developed a hive mind with the clones. I know what they are thinking and they know what I was thinking, so I would only need to shout out the command and they would fulfill it in an isntant. The souls of the clones manifest as golden chains with barbs and spikes, resembling a shiny yellow rose. Giving the mental command by sending my thoughts with [Abyss control], the chains wrap around my right arm. The random spikes and barbs cutting into my skin to allowing my blood spread all over the chains. Well, that's just the weight of my sins.
