The Weird Yellow Package

"Why were you acting like that before him?" Lillian questioned Blake as soon as he shut his side of the door. 

"Acting like what?" He knew what she was talking about, yet he chose to play dumb before her. He just didn't want the conversation to head in the direction he was dreading for it to go. 

"You looked like you were about to kill the old man." She focused her eyes on the small frown which was snuggled neatly in between his brows. 

"Because I might have." Blake didn't bother with his earlier intentions. He had promised himself that he would no longer treat Lillian as a frail little girl, and there was no way he was backing out already.

"Why?" Lillian narrowed her eyes at him. "He was only being nice." She added, sharing her thoughts with him. 

"He was indeed." He didn't deny her claims. "But he is not not so nice usually. You are lucky." He turned the ignition on as he answered the curious little lady.
