Chapter 27

Once again, Ye Ying was left there in all awkwardness. She truly wondered what could move a man like Zhang Wei. Since she was little, everyone had always adored her. She was the only daughter of her parents so obviously she had gotten everything she wanted. She had been spoiled by her parents and she loved it.

She was a beautiful lady. She was healthy and she had a good body. She had been pursued by many men in her past, from her teenage years to her current age. She never paid any attention to those because she felt they were missing something.

She wasn't stupid. She could see the lust in their eyes when they looked at her. She knew most of them just wanted to feel the satisfaction of dating someone from a rich family. She wasn't interested in men like that. She had given up hope on men until she met Zhang Wei.

They went to the same high school. Obviously, it was the best in the country. Not all could enter it as the amount of people given scholarships were counted on a finger. The remaining percentage of students all came from aristocratic families all over the country.

It was a normal day in school for Ye Ying. As usual, she had those that stuck to her immediately she arrived at the school, the ones that were of a lower family standing. They had always wanted to curry favor form her. Ye Ying didn't mind it and relished in the attention.

Also, the stares and whispers of admiration form her admirers which made her smile a little. She never said anything about it because honestly why would she? She loved the attention. She noticed something also. She noticed that her audience had decreased in size after a while. She wondered what was going on.

One of her 'friends' must have noticed the curious look on her face and explained to her. Her name was Crystal Ma. She was one of the more favored ones of the group.

She tugged Ye Ying's dress gently and explained. "Oh, you must not have heard. The Young Master of the Zhang family had transferred here today. People are gathering to admire his looks and personality. Before you came, I got some information. He hadn't even talked to anyone since he came to the school. He has ben sitting on his seat in silence, not even acknowledging anyone." She concluded.

Ye Ying frowned. She had heard about the Zhang family. They were the highest ranked aristocratic family. She heard the Zhang young master was cold and rarely showed emotions. By then, his little sister had not been born so he was the only heir. She nodded at the extra information given to her.

She approached the crowd and when they saw her, they made a small pathway for her. Her high school self wasn't that tall, but she still easily got through. The class she was approaching was also her class.

She entered and saw the boy carrying all the attention. She was stunned. She didn't expect such handsomeness. He was a high schooler, but he already sowed faint traces of maturity and masculinity, something she rarely saw around her. Her day was normally filled with boys trying to prove they were better than each other.

He looked totally uninterested in whatever was going on around him. It didn't look forced either. He was just genuinely unbothered. This made everyone automatically respect his space. Of course, she still believed it was because he hadn't seen her yet. If he had seen someone like her, he obviously won't ignore her. She had the looks and everything. She wouldn't mind if someone like him pursued her.

She was deeply misunderstood.

She approached him when no one else did. Everyone wasn't surprised at her actions. She had always been one to go for it. Instead they cheered her silently. What combo would that be? The school beauty and the new beau.

She sat in her seat beside him. She looked at him, waiting for him to turn his attention to her. She didn't stop and he must have gotten tired of her stare. He turned towards her and looked at her.

Ye Ying inwardly smiled at his behavior. She knew he couldn't resist. She smiled a bright smile at him and just as she was about to start a conversation, he turned away.

Her smile froze. She glanced back and saw that the crowd had dispersed. She was thankful no one saw that. That was very embarrassing. She got angry and didn't talk to him during the whole period. Then she though about it. Was he shy? At that thought, she smiled. She planned to talk to him after school

School had ended and she immediately went after him when he left. She grabbed him when he saw he was about to leave. The boy frowned and shook off his wrists. He adjusted the cufflinks.

"Please refrain from doing what you just did in the future."

Ye Ying blushed at his voice. It was deep for a teenager. Puberty had really favored him. She nodded subconsciously. She looked up to see that he had already walked away from her and left.

Since then, she had always disturbed with him of course not reciprocating her actions. She even invited herself to his home once and his mom had seen this. Since then, they had been somehow connected, more of Ye Ying disturbed his life. He just learnt to tolerate it.

Ye Ying had declared them friends and seeing that he didn't say anything, she smiled. Yes, friends. She looked at him and blushed. Maybe more soon.
