Something I have just now noticed that the day should be ending soon based on how long I have been here. Are the days longer or am I imagining things? My body says it is time to sleep based on how long I have been awake. I have wanted to test how much the stats actually affect my body by doing a timed run. My body does feel lighter in the sense of speed though. Obviously I don't have a stopwatch so I'll have to do an approximation. I'll run roughly a mile. I did track for a season in my freshman year and did mostly long sprints. So speed was not my main priority, but based on how fast I am going; I probably have broken all records in that world. I just ran a mile in less than 2 minutes. How fast can I get if that was only from 7 total points into it? I know my endurance was good based on my previous speed. But does my new speed drain my stamina much faster? I am going to quickly do some more exploring so I might as well test this theory out. I have run sprint level for maybe 25 minutes and don't feel the slightest bit tired. This is cool and all but I feel like it's kinda cheating. I can do anything about it now so I might as well just use it to its fullest. This counts as my workout and should increase my stats right? I quickly check but to no avail, it did not produce any experience and agility didn't change. Well, there goes that idea out the window. Speaking of the window I have seemed to find some broken glass shattered on the ground. There are no real trails or roads I can see so it must have come from a window somewhere. But the problem is that there are no houses or even buildings within a few mile radius. It's a big forest I can not seem to find my way out of. So that must mean a hidden house. Presumably covered in magic to keep people out. Apparently not good enough because the glass broke. I guess my sense is not high enough for me to even guess where it is. I do walk in every direction around the glass to try and find a wall of sorts, but again nothing. I guess I can just start looking for civilization or at least signs of it.
I start to walk forward but happen to notice a house in between two trees. No way my luck is that good. I walk through to find a house a story and a half tall and all the windows are broken through and run down in general. It does not look like anyone has lived here in ages though. At least I hope not. I enter the door that fell off its hinges as I touch it. I swear I didn't break it. It was like that when I found it, I swear. Dead silence as even the birds stop chirping. It has a kitchen as I had in my previous world but I guess it works with magic I think. Oven, sink, dinner table, cabinets, no hanging cabinets, and chairs, all of the normal stuff. The entrance off to the left looks like a bedroom with a desk. No papers or anything in it. Minimalist life, I respect it. The room on the right, however, looked like an office with a big desk and stacked bookshelves on each side that looked at least a hundred years old. I take one out of the middle shelf on the right and dust it off. Dust flew off the book and made it weigh half its weight beforehand. No title? That's a bit odd, no author either. I open it to find handwritten pages with an alphabet I can not recognize. I used inspect to find its a book about taming and the author was the self-proclaimed great sage. He was a wizard, the skill said right below it. Okay, so I guess all of these books are by him then? The language was unknown to me as I looked from page to page. They were dated and at least the number system was the same. I want to learn the language to at least know what they speak here. I can probably get the gist of it when I learn the characters they use. The first letter is… {You have learned a new skill: Language Comprehension} Okay that makes my whole learning process and just throws it out a window. At least everything will now be translated for me now. I can now read the book and it is basically about the different monsters and their appearances. Monsters have taming compatibility meaning some can be tamed and others can not. If you possess the skill you have three times to try. If by the third time you fail that monster can no longer be tamed. The easiest is a slime, but the harder ones are along the lines of pack monsters like goblins and orcs/ogre. The hardest obviously dragons. This is making sense in the idea of it. So shouldn't I be learning a new skill by now? {You have learned the job: Tamer} {You have learned a new job specific skill: Tame} Wait, I now got both a job and a skill? That two for one deal though. I should look at all of these books for some of the better skills and maybe even more jobs. Wait, can I change my job??
