Fifty One

Sarahiah placed the phone in his hand and walked away, "I was busy...No, I cannot come this evening...Jezell, I have a crisis that I am dealing with...Yes, you heard right...I hired her to take care of the third store...You listen to me, my patience is running thin with your complaints and demands...Very good, that will suit me just fine...I agree, we should see other people...Yes, good bye."

Caleb rested down the phone, hold his head and said, "Goodness, this crazy woman have me doing crazy things and it is working out just perfect. This is the breakthrough I wanted, so now I won't have to shield away from her."

...

Caleb walked into the room just to see her sitting on the bed, propping her chin as she bent down, "Are you alright?"

"I have a slight favor to ask."

"What is it you want now?"

Sarahiah noticed he was becoming angry once again but what can she do, this was too important to ignore if anything were to happen to them all the blame will fall on her. "Look this is about your parents."

"What about them?"

The way he railed up she stepped back, but fear pushed her to continue talking, "When last did they went on a vacation?"

"Sarahiah, we are experiencing a bit of a financial situation right now."

"You are? Oh dear, I am so sorry."

"Look, right now is not a good time and I need mom in the stores, I cannot manage the three stores all alone."

"Listen to me please," Sarahiah begged as she saw that he was becoming agitated, when he raised his both hands in the air she said, "Please try to understand what I am saying, we could send them for two weeks in a beach house or something. I will help, I promise. They can use one of the vans and we could use the other."

Sarahiah saw him make a ninety degrees spin and his face was red with rage. Caleb looked at her face, only to see it was white, all the blood had drained from it so he went to her quickly, only to see her raise her hand to cover her face.

'She looks so scared of me,' he thought then stopped and sat on the bed, 'What am I doing? She is so scared of me, oh my God please help me, give me patience to understand what she is doing and thinking.'

Caleb whispered softly to her "Sarahiah, I am so, so sorry," he said taking her in his arms, "Sweetheart, you are moving too fast for me, please give this idea a few days before you make any plans, we already done so much today."

Caleb saw the tears and heard the fear in her voice "I am afraid, if they come looking for you."

"Me? Why would they come looking for me?"

Caleb saw her close her eyes, take some deep breaths and then said as the tears continued to flow.
