One Hundred and Twenty One

Shantel saw Jezell pointing to the gentleman on the table who was caught up reading his newspaper while waiting for the waitress to come with their order. "Oh, that is your friend's friend."

At that moment the newspaper shifted aside and Joshua smiled as he reached out his hand and said, "I am Joshua."

"Hi Joshua, I am Jezell."

"Nice meeting you, will you be joining us for lunch?"

"Sorry, I am joining a friend for lunch."

"Oh, I am sorry to hear that, maybe you and your friend will like to join us."

"I don't think Caleb will object, but I will mention it to him when he reach, he seems to be a bit late."

Jezell heard Joshua laugh before he said, "So you are his friend, he invited me saying you was a bit late. He will be back soon, he went to the washroom, but he never mentioned anything about you before."

Joshua saw the smile broaden a bit and her face lit up, "I can say the same here," she said.
